Chapter 310: Chapter 310
Lucid’s participation in the Dream Server had not been announced in advance. Because there had never been a case of a major Japanese VTuber joining a Korean streamer server, Lucid’s unexpected appearance caused quite a stir, both big and small.
The first to erupt in chaos was Diah’s stream—the very person who had invited Lucid to the Dream Server. Next were the streams of the Illusionary Realm members, all linked through their role-played family ties with Diah.
[ LUX_Hida has joined the server. ]
[ Oh, Mom’s here. Go greet her~! ]
[ H-Hello, Mom. I’m your fourth daughter. ]
“Uh... I think there was a baby mix-up at the hospital.”
– Holy crap lololololol
– Is that really Lucid? Not a faker?
– Why’s a Japanese person here
– No, that’s definitely the real Lucid
– Fourth daughter X, Slave #4 O
Among all the Illusionary Realm members, the loudest stream was—of course—Hida’s.
As Diah’s wife and the role-played mother of the large Illusionary Realm family, Hida had barely joined the server when her “new daughter” suddenly greeted her.
Other streamers outside of the Illusionary Realm were also starting to notice Lucid’s arrival.
Word that Lucid had joined the Dream Server as Diah’s fourth daughter was spreading fast through so-called “cuckoo” viewers—those who roam from stream to stream.
Did you hear Lucid’s in the server?
Lucid’s in the tutorial map, go say hi!
“I told you to stop bringing up TAS, why do these keep flying in? Anyway, Lucid’s here? Uh... what was it again... Ah, from Prism Live, right?”
– “What was it again?” x100
– Oh no, the VTuber nerds are coming
– Are you saying Prism Live is irrelevant?
– Explain yourself, oo
– IMU: Prism Live is so irrelevant (User has been banned)
“Hsssh, that’s a ban for slander. People can forget things, geez. Anyway, does she even understand Korean? How should I greet her? Konnichiwa?”
– Evening greeting is konbanwa, you know
– Lucid’s Korean got way better, don’t worry
– She actually speaks Korean pretty well
– IMU, go learn Japanese, please
“Ugh, I bet the weebs are thrilled. Almost said that out loud~ Anyway, they say she understands Korean pretty well, so I’ll try saying hi if I run into her later~.”
As the news spread among other streamers, it naturally spilled into internet communities.
After all, the Dream Server was a massive collaboration filled with top-tier streamers.
Every online forum even remotely related to streaming was now overflowing with Dream Server-related posts.
With so many eyes focused on the server, the sudden appearance of a newcomer like Lucid made for perfect gossip bait.
[Breaking] Lucid-senpai appears in the Dream Server!

“Eek! This is straight-up slavery—!”
“Hey, senpai! You can’t say that! That’s not okay!”

Even so, Lucid herself was a major streamer.
Though a foreigner, her fame was undeniable, and content surrounding her didn’t show signs of slowing down.
Above all, it didn’t help that Lucid was practically being treated like a slave under Diah.
The bizarre sight of a senior in the industry being worked to death by a junior grabbed everyone’s attention.
[ I-I came here to play with Diah, but all I’ve done is dig! He’s mean! ]
– Smack! Smack smack!
“Wahhh! That’s elder abuse! The daughter’s beating up her dad!”
[ A papa like that deserves it! ]
This happened right when the diamond shovel Diah had given Lucid was just about to break.
Having barely finished leveling a mountain, Lucid lightly whacked Diah in protest, demanding to play together instead.
All because, the moment she joined the server, Diah had ordered her to start mining a mountain.
All Lucid had been told was they were going to make a strawberry farm.
Now that she’d completed the job, she wanted to do something more fun.
“F-Farming’s hard at first~! Once we build the field, we’ll just be harvesting~.”
[ T-Then... Do I have to dig another mountain? No way! Just kill me! ]
“...Where did you even learn that phrase?”
Anyway, when Lucid declared a strike, Ha-eun figured it was a good time to let her try something else on the Dream Server. So she took her sulking “fourth daughter” to the village’s job change area.
This was in preparation for when Diah and her “daughters” would eventually open a dessert shop. Among the many professions on the Dream Server, the “Alchemist” class granted useful buffs whenever you made dessert-type food.
For example, increased movement speed. Or boosts to attack power, defense, and HP.
“Okay! Time to carry on the family business, sweetie~”
[ Family business? What’s that supposed to mean? ]
“Uhh... Anyway, just click on this NPC!”
The Alchemist class in the Dream Server had a special ability: granting beneficial buffs to food.
Since there needed to be a compelling reason for players to buy desserts, changing classes to Alchemist was essential for running a successful dessert shop.
“Did you get the job change quest?”
[ Ah, the quest. Yes. I accepted it. But I’m not really sure what I’m supposed to do.... ]
“Hmm... First, it says to gather herbs. Follow me!”
Diah and Lucid then headed to the herb field together, where they began hunting plant-type monsters that dropped herbs when defeated.
Once they collected the required amount of herbs, they returned to the job change NPC and started the Alchemist’s first basic quest: potion crafting.
“Put the white herb on the left.”
[ White on the left. ]
“Blue in the middle, red on the right.”
[ I added them all! ...Oh, it’s spinning! It’s spinning! ]
– The mod’s really well done
– Wasn’t it supposed to be a brewing stand? Why is it a jar now?
– I thought it was a model, didn’t know it actually spins
– But to become an Alchemist, don’t you have to join a hunting party and throw potions?
– Nihonjin’s living her best life, lol
Thus, the potions crafted by Diah and Lucid were complete.
They were throwables—healing potions that restored HP when thrown at someone.
However, to finalize the class change, they had to actually use the potions.
So they gathered the potions and returned to the large field where the extended Illusionary Realm family had been farming.
Right after returning, Diah called over one of his daughters, who had been busy working the fields.
“Second daughter! Come over here!”
[ ...Does Diah even know how to speak to his boss? Geez, even the youngest one’s bossing him around now. ]
“Hsss, still not coming? If you’re not here by the count of three, Daddy’s gonna give you a spanking—”
[ Okay, okay~ I’m coming~ ]
Muttering to herself, Daramji’s avatar marched straight toward Diah and Lucid. Once she arrived, Diah dug a single block of earth in front of him and told her to step into it.
[ Gasp. Are you... trying to bury your daughter alive—? ]
“It’s not like that! Just get in, okay?”
“Great. Now just stay there.”
Right after that, he turned to Lucid and told her to take out a potion from her inventory. As soon as the throwable potion appeared in Lucid’s hand, a diamond sword appeared in Diah’s.
And then—whack. With a swift swing of Diah’s diamond sword, Daramji’s HP was reduced to the brink of death.
[ Ow! What the heck was that— ]
Understandably, Daramji, who had just been beaten while stuck in a hole, protested. Thᴇ link to the origɪn of this information rᴇsts ɪn 𝗻𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗹✶𝗳𝗶𝗿𝗲✶𝗻𝗲𝘁
“Daughter! Throw the potion!”
[ Throwing the potion! ]
The moment Lucid’s potion hit Daramji’s avatar and healed her HP, a creeping sense of dread came over her.
After all, Daramji was a seasoned Minecraft streamer who’d once been dubbed the “President of Elementary Schoolers.” She’d even helped with parts of the Dream Server preparation, so she already had a rough idea of what the Alchemist class change quest entailed.
In other words, she finally realized—too late—why Diah had buried her in the ground.
“Don’t stop, keep throwing—!”
[ Oww, oww, oww! What kind of dad does this to his daughter!! ]
– He’s not human 😭😭😭😭😭
– Of all people, he’s doing this to his boss lololol
– Baby Diah has no heart... no heart... no heart...
Diah would slash Daramji to drain her HP, and Lucid would throw a potion to heal her. Giving the disease and the cure—it was textbook torture. Slash and heal, slash and heal... over and over again.
And so, through this agonizing loop, Lucid finally completed her job change quest.
The requirement was to restore a certain amount of HP using throwable potions—and one way or another, she did it.
Diah’s job change quest still remained.
Which meant Daramji had to endure yet another round of whacks and heals.
“Alright, now you hold the diamond sword, daughter. Daddy will throw the potions~”
[ W-Wait, Lucid! How could you hit your sister!! ]
[ Go for the head! Head! Head! Head! ]
“Potion! Potion! Potion! Potion!”
[ Hey! HEY! You little—!! ]
– I can’t breathe lololololol
– Nihonjin’s having the time of her life
– What am I even watching right now
– Boss getting wrecked 😭😭😭😭😭
– Can they even clean up this mess afterward
– Diah’s not even human 💀
