Anya's Point of View

Five days have passed since the fight between Alpha Allan and Damien, and Zakir's rouges took place. Alpha Allan sent me for the interrogation. Brent greeted me, obviously tired from everything that happened. We went to the underground, where Allan stayed with the traitor.

"Why is Lilac here?" I asked Brent in astonishment. She was in the room with Alpha Allan. "And why didn't she noticed us peeking at her?" I asked Brent again.

"Lilac is here because she is the one that the rogue said who sold them the information. She does not see us, but we see, and we hear them," he answered my questions.

"Is it true, Lilac?" Alpha Allan asked calmly.

"What, Alpha? Did I do something wrong?" Lilac asked Alpha Allan weakly. Brent scoffed.

"She's definitely acting. Fuck!" Brent angrily said. I turned my gaze back to Lilac and Alpha Allan. I saw Alpha Allan clenched his fist.

"Tell me the truth, Lilac! Are you the one who sold us!?" Alpha Allan yelled. Lilac bowed, and I did not expect what she did next. She laughed out loud. Brent was about to go inside, but I stopped him immediately.

"Wow! Congrats! You found out," she said, then smirked.

"What the fuck!? Why did you do that, Lilac!?" Alpha Allan angrily asked and slammed his fist on the metal table. Lilac's expression suddenly darkened, but the smile could not be removed from her lips.

"Correction, Alpha. My name is not Lilac; it's Lemony," she said. She looked like a different person to me now. "Oh! Do you want to know why I did that? I did it because of my sister," she said. Alpha Allan remained silent.

"Do you remember her? Do you remember, Liliana!? This pack ruined her life!" she yelled.

"That's not enough reason to betray us!" Alpha Allan shouted.

"Not enough!? Fuck you! She's my only family, but my twin died because of your beta! Your fucking beta ruined her life!" she yelled. She was panting. "Brent ruined her, and you let her leave this pack. That's why the hunters killed her!" she added and tried to attack Alpha Allan, but she can't do that because of the silver chain in her hands and feet. I looked at Brent. He looked hurt and shocked. Now our case had become connected because of this.

"I s-stopped her from leaving, but s-she told me s-she's going to be okay," Brent mumbled beside me. "S-She wanted to start a new life. I didn't ruin her life," he added softly while tears welled up in his eyes.

Lilac or Lemony did that because of her love for her twin sister. Brent apologized to her nonstop for what he had done. I hope Lilac finds forgiveness in her heart.

"Luna, you should rest. We will take care of this," Arnold said to me. I nodded in response. I got up and walked towards Marcus and I's room. I grabbed the knob, gently pushed the door open, sat on our bed, and let out a sigh. Suddenly, the door creaked opened.

"You're crying again," he said to me, and a frown etched on his gorgeous face. I shook my head and let out a chuckle.

"Something got into my eyes," I said. He sighed and sat next to me, hugging me tightly.

"It's not your fault, baby," he started. "Mico fought hard, and I salute him for that. He set out by himself to find where I am. He's very loyal to this pack, and he doesn't blame you for what happened to him. It's inevitable," he added.

"So, please stop blaming yourself. That's not good for you and the baby," Marcus said. I nodded my head and leaned on him. He kissed my forehead, and we both laid down.

That day I thought Marcus would disappear from me. I was so scared. When help arrived, we immediately took Marcus to the packed clinic. The doctors said he has no pulse, and that made me cry hard. Arnold and Lorraine came then comforted me.

I remember making a scene because I wanted to get inside. I even slapped Marcus on the chest, telling him that he should wake up. I told him that baby, and I could not bear without him, and even threatened him that I would not forgive him until he woke up. Then a miracle happened. The doctor said that Marcus' heartbeat had returned. They immediately operated on Marcus, and now he is in good condition.

"I love you so much, Anya. I'm sorry for all the things I've done," he said and kissed the back of my hand. "I am such a jerk. Sorry for hurting you physically and emotionally. Sorry for making you feel unwanted. I'm sorry. I will do everything so you can forgive me," he added.

"I know, I do not deserve you. I do not deserve you, Anya. You deserve someone better than me. I will accept if you leave me but always remember that I love you so much," he sincerely said. I touched his face and planted a soft kiss on his lips. I kissed him passionately. I know we didn't get along very well in the beginning. I can't unlove him. He is the best thing that happened to me. He had flaws; I know that. He is not perfect; I also know that. I love him with all my heart.

"I forgive you, Marcus, and I love you too…so damn much," I told him. He smiled, a genuine one. I know we still have many problems, but I know we can get through that because we are with each other.

"Let's sleep. We will take Mico to his final destination tomorrow," he said. Marcus hugged me tightly, and I did the same to him. I closed my eyes and smiled. I will no longer be his unwanted mate because this Alpha already accepted me.
