Chapter 21: Chapter 21
Anya's Point of View
"Lorraine, you're making me dizzy. Please, sit down," I said to her. She looked at me and was about to cry her heart out. I let out a sigh. I approached him and tried to calm her down.
"Maybe there's an explanation for what you saw," I told her; she shook his head, and tears began to pour from her eyes. I helped her sat down on the chair and pulled her closer to hug her.
"He cheated to me, Luna!" she said, a trace of anger in her voice. After Marcus and I talked in the kitchen earlier, we heard Lorraine and Arnold were fighting. I found Lorraine crying while Arnold went out of the packhouse, so I told Marcus to follow his beta.
"I saw him with a woman. They were sweetly hugging outside, and the worst part was he even kissed her! He's a cheater!" Lorraine yelled and sobbed. I shushed her and rubbed her back. "Is he not satisfied with me? With what we have? Have I become ugly in his eyes? That's why he decided to do that?" she asked. A sudden knock interrupted the two of us, and we both turn our heads to look at the door. I stood up and opened it. I saw Marcus outside, leaning on the wall.
"Arnold wants to talk to her," he said. I nodded my head and glanced at Arnold, who was behind him. I let him in the room.
"What is he doing here!? Cheater!" Lorraine yelled. She was angry, and it was already instilled in her mind that he's cheating on her. Arnold bowed his head to what Lorraine said.
"You need to talk," Marcus seriously said. Lorraine whimpered. I pity her, but she couldn't defy Marcus, and he's right. They need to talk to clear their problem. Marcus took my hand and closed the door. I leaned on his chest.
"Do you still have work to do?" I asked him. He nodded and kissed me on the forehead.
"Don't worry. I'll be back later," Marcus said to me. Marcus accompanied me until I got into the living room and said goodbye because he went back to the office. I walked out of the packhouse and went to the garden. I sat on the swing and feel the breeze on my skin. Arnold said Damien doesn't stop collecting rouges for the armies he will use to get his revenge.
"Tiffany," I whispered as a woman came out of the car. I don't see Tiffany much in the packhouse, and I think today was my unlucky day seeing her here. As much as possible, I don't want the two of us clashed. Marcus had so much in his mind right now, and I don't want to add by fighting off a total bitch like Tiffany. She looked around, and when she saw me, she smirked. I raised an eyebrow as she began to walk towards where I was.
"What do you want, Tiffany?" I eagerly asked her. She stopped right in front of me and crossed her arms. Tiffany stared at me with a smile on her lips and what I did was stare back.
"I want your mate. I want Marcus," she said without hesitation. I growled at her.
"Ours! He's our mate bitch!" my wolf snarled. "Kill her! Rip her head off!" she added.
"He's mine!" I shouted. I saw her flinch a little, but she immediately composed herself.
"He was mine first!" she shouted back at me. I was a bit taken aback, but I don't intend to lose to her.
"He's not yours, Tiffany, and he will never be. You're one persistent bitch," I angrily spat. She remained standing in front of me.
"Are you sure about that, Anya? He hasn't even marked you yet!" she smiled. "You might be surprised when you wake up one day that your dearest mate is with me," she added. I froze.
"That bitch!" my wolf angrily said. I bowed. I kept hearing Tiffany's voice over and over in my mind. Marcus hasn't even marked me. She was right. We haven't completed the mating.
"Don't let it bother you, Anya! Marcus loves us!" my wolf said.
"Oh, why can't you speak now, Anya? Cat got your tongue?" she mockingly said. Marcus loves us. I should've not let Tiffany affect me. He will mark us to be his. Soon.
"That will never happen, Tiffany. Marcus loves me, and he will never be able to hurt you and me? You will be left defeated and miserable," I said to her and smiled sweetly. I will not lose to you. Eat that bitch. She shot a glare at me but again but smiled.
"We'll see Anya. We'll see who's going to lose," she said with a smile and left. I sat down and held onto my chest. Why was I suddenly nervous about what she said?
