Chapter 12: Chapter 12

Anya's Point of View

"What do you want to eat?"I asked Marcus. After the conversation we had in his office, Marcus decided to eat because he was already starving.

"You," he answered my question. I couldn't help but roll my eyes at him."Hey! I'm serious. I want to eat you," he added and stared at me.

"Marcus!" I yelled. He laughed and put his arms on my shoulder, and I couldn't help but smile at him. His laughter was so good to hear, and it was me happy knowing I could make him laugh.

"Okay. Anything will be fine," he told me. I went to the fridge and prepared the ingredients I needed. What should I cook? Would Marcus like it?

'Maybe they have ingredients here for pancakes, "I mumbled.

"Ay!" I jumped in surprised when I felt Marcus' hand wrapped around my waist. He buried his head on my neck.

"What are you going to cook?" he asked me. I could still feel my heart going wild with his touches.

"Pancakes, is it okay?"I asked him.

"I already told you. Anything is okay," Marcus said to me. I started mixing the ingredients, but I couldn't focus because of the position we had.

"Marcus, go back there and sit down," I said and pointed to the chair."Just wait until I finish cooking it," I added softly and tried to escape, but he only tightened his grip on me.

"Na-ah. It's fine. Just continue your work," he said and grinned. I heaved out a sigh and continued cooking with him sticking close to me. After a few minutes, I was finally done. Marcus had a very different effect on me. I served the pancakes I cooked and joined him at the table.

"Thank you. It's delicious," he said while smiling. For the nth time around, I was bewildered.

"A-Ah, t-thank you,"I stuttered and bowed. Marcus cupped my face and looked into my eyes. He slowly brought his face closer to mine. I closed my eyes and waited for our lips to touch. He did not disappoint me. He kissed me slowly, and I responded by kissing him back. It was only interrupted when we ran out of air.

"The pancakes that came from your mouth were tastier, baby," he said and smirked. I feel blushed at his remark.

"Where are you going?" I asked him because he suddenly stood up in his seat but bowed my head when I realized it sounded needy, and Marcus hates it.

"My office. I will be back later, baby," he answered, which made me happy." I just need to do something," he added. He kissed me on the forehead then left the kitchen. I put away the plates on the sink and went upstairs.

"Looks like you're happy, Luna?"Lorraine asked me while smiling. I looked at the door and saw her leaning on the wall. I totally forgot that I left it open. I smiled at her.

"It's you, Lorraine! Come in, "I said."Ignore me. I'm just silly, "I told her. Lorraine walked towards me; she brought her face close to mine and stared at me. I immediately averted my gaze.

"You're blooming, Luna! You can tell it to me," she excitedly said. I shook my head in her stubbornness. She pulled a chair and sat next to me.

"It's nothing, really," I told Lorraine.

"I do not believe," she said to me. I laughed. I trust Lorraine, so I breathed deeply and tucked my hair behind my ear.

"Marcus and I are getting better," I said. She raised an eyebrow at me.

"Why, Luna? Aren't you okay with Alpha?" she asked, confused. I covered my mouth. Lorraine did not yet know what had happened to us neither Marcus' pack members. I looked at Lorraine and told her my story since I met Marcus and how we are doing today. After listening to my story, Lorraine angrily stood up and spoke.

"Oh, that's wrong, Luna! He shouldn't have done that to you!" she said while her hands were on her waist. "Even if he's your mate, he shouldn't have hurt you!" she added.

"But Lorraine, everything's fine now," I softly said to her. "He's good to me now," I added.

"He should be!" Lorraine said that made me laughed. Over the past month, Lorraine and I have been close, and I am happy because I have a kind and reliable friend like her, who will understand me and sympathize with me whenever I have a problem.

"What are you thinking, Luna?"Lorraine asked.

"I was just wondering how lucky I am to have a friend like you," I told her.

"Luna!" she said while pouting."You are making me cry! I should be the one to thank you because you befriended me," she added and wiped the tears from her eyes. I stood up and hugged her.

"Okay, let's stop this drama!" I said. "Let's go downstairs? I want to visit the garden," I added.

"All right, Luna," she said to me. Downstairs, a lot of werewolves gather outside the packhouse. Lorraine and I stared at each other, and at the same time, we left the packhouse to see what they were looking at

"What's happening?" I asked a werewolf in front of us.

"She's back," he replied to me.

"Who?"I asked once again. He was about to speak when someone shouted.

"Hello everyone! I'm back! Did you guys miss me?" the woman yelled and smiled, showing her pearly whites. I can see in the reactions of the werewolves that they don't like this woman.

"Tiffany, "Lorraine whispered beside me. Why was I suddenly nervous when she mentioned her name? Who is she?
