Chapter 85: Chapter 85

Sid dropped me with Dina, who was waiting for me and we said goodbye to Sid. We didn't tell him anything because he was Steven's friend, and I'm sure he would die before betraying him.

"Where is he?" I asked, looking around. I can hear my heart beating louder than ever. I was hoping not to find anything, I wanted my mission to be failed, I wanted it to be wrong.

"He went inside," she pointed at the store across the road. "first, he bought some food and now maybe a condo---" she hadn't even finished when she acknowledged my hateful gaze.

"Candles, I meant candles." she gulped and looked ahead, avoiding to look in my eyes, we hid behind a wall and watched Steven coming out of the store and jumping on his bike.

"Let's go." I announced, getting in her car. She followed him, but we kept our distance to avoid getting caught. My heart skipped a beat when I realized the route he was following led to Tucker's house and obviously he wasn't going there to meet Tucker so my other solid guess said, he was going to meet Ivory. We ceased the car pretty far away from the house and walked on our feet to the house, he was standing under her window, looking up for a signal. He looked through his phone, probably getting a signal from Ivory and that's when he began to climb up the window.

"What the---," Dina cussed and then gasping. I closed my eyes and didn't move, not passing a single comment.

"That doesn't prove him guilty." I stated I can see Dina veering her neck to look at my face in shock, "maybe he is on to something, we can't judge him for---," I halted when Dina decided to chip in.

"Climb a girl's window at this time of night, yeah, sure he is not guilty." I can feel anger emerging through her skin as she spoke of him. "So what are we gonna do?" she asked, rolling her eyes and folding her arms across her chest, "confront him?" she added.

"Lemme think!" I sighed and rubbed my face in my hands.

Tucker's POV:

I was anxious, my head hurting and my mind ready to explode at any moment. She lied to me, she said she wanted what was best for me, but she was planning hate against Giselle. That was another reason I wanted Giselle to leave the house, but I never wanted her to leave me.

"Mom!" I rushed out of my room when I couldn't hold back the anger anymore, "MOM!" I yelled to get her attention.

"What is it?" She came rushing out, holding a book in her hand, and watching my face like she has no clue what had happened.

"Why are they still here?" I lifted my hand and showed her the pictures of Giselle that she has taken different times of her stay in here, she has made countless videos of her with the hidden cam in her room and bathroom. Her face faded, changing colors pretty quickly.

"Why are they with you?" she tried to grab them out of my hand, but I hid them behind my back, she noticed that I clenched my jaw.

"You went through my stuff?" she yelled, showing me her eyes, so it was my fault that I found the tapes that she has promised to delete if I do whatever she says?

"You promised mom!" I hated to call her my mother at that moment, I always thought she cared about me, but if she did, she would have known by now that hurting Giselle meant she doesn't care about me.

"I am just holding them so that I can make her fall for you again." She stuttered and mumbled, gulping and keeping her eyes on the tapes.

"By blackmailing her?" I can't believe she was planning that that's why Giselle has left me, that's why I was alone now because all we did was to force her. I remember when Giselle left the house, I wanted to leave with her, but my mother told me that if I decided to stay, she will delete the tapes, destroy them but the fact she kept changing her stories had made me worried now.

"All I want is to be with Giselle mom, why are you ruining my life? Why are you ruining my chances?" I finally shouted, this was all too much. How can she say she cares for me then hurt someone I care about?

"Are you seeing her again, are you talking to her?" she instantly questioned, "because whenever she comes into your life, you become this brat." she didn't explain anything to me, but what she said was indeed very much true. Every time Giselle would come back to my life, I feel like a man, not a child who needs his mother to tell him what's right and what's wrong.

"I am doing it all for you." she slowly held my hand and looked in my eyes, "now give me those pictures." she sweetly stated.

"No!" I said, looking deadly in her eyes, I can't hand her Giselle's life, she can ask for anything but not these pictures. At that point, I had a feeling that she was going to blackmail her, plus, with my fading memory, I didn't want Giselle at the risk of danger.

"Can you guys please volume down?" Ivory rushed down from her room and muttered, "I am having a guest over," she awkwardly looked down and mumbled.

"What guest?" this is it, I am done playing a child, someone has to be the man of the house, and since I was not a child anymore, I have to step up.

"Boyfriend!" She stole her eyes from me and nervously played with her fingers.

"I will come and see in a bit who your boyfriend is," I announced and she glared at mom, she rushed up again in haste.

"Fine," Mom mumbled, "You are the man of the house, yeah forget what I have done for you, forget every time I was there for you, now that your father is gone, I am nothing." she broke in tears and no matter how hard I try to avoid it, I can't. Have I done something wrong? Maybe I shouldn't have been this rude to her, I stepped close and held her hand in my hand, but I was not going to hand her the tapes.

Giselle's POV:

"What's taking so long?" Dina was getting impatient and I was hoping to wake up from this bad dream.

"That's it, we have to climb after him," I announced once I couldn't take it anymore. Dina watched my face to make sure if it was a good idea, but we have no choice, this has to be done. Dina and I climbed Ivory's window in hopes of finding nothing crazy, but who was I fooling with? My heart was missing beats and my mind hurt as I reached the top and looked through it.

Let's talk a little about my life, well, there is nothing much to talk about, I am just simply the unluckiest girl alive, you know why? I saw Ivory and Steven in an act, an act of romance.

"That can't be---," Dina gasped, grasping my hand tightly, I saw Ivory pushing him in the bathroom as they kissed, how could Steven do this to me? Dina pushed me down with force when the door to Ivory's room flipped open with a bang.

"Geez! What is wrong with you?" Ivory yelled, "ever heard of knocking?" she continued, we were sitting there listening to them and Dina was holding my hand tightly.

"I am sorry!" It was Tucker, I recognized the voice.

"Can you please shut the door?" Ivory annoyingly yelled and the door shut closed.

"Let's go home." Dina tightened her grip over my hand and watched my face. I gave her a slow nod and we both climbed down. I walked ahead of her towards where she has parked the car. I kept getting my vision blurred due to newly formed tears, but I didn't want to slow down and show her my miserable self. Not seeing clear through my misty eyes, I tripped and fall on the road.

"You okay?" Dina rushed and sat down with me, I watched her face and began sobbing loudly.

"It hurts," I pointed towards my knee, there was no injury, I just needed a reason to cry out loud.
