Chapter 83: Chapter 83
It had been a few days and we haven't made Tucker and Steven to attend us at the same time, we would either go with Tucker or Steven in the group but it was mostly Steven ignoring him. Sid, however, acted super nice in front of Tucker, all over Dina, just to let Tucker know that she was his girl now.
I have been going through Tucker's Instagram for one hour straight and I noticed that the pictures of all the girls were gone, there was this thing about him, that he never deleted any pictures of his Ex, not caring much about how his recent girlfriend would feel, but suddenly they were all gone.
Bailey was on her laptop, eating chocolate that she has also offered me, and watching Netflix. I scrolled down to Tucker's profile and I was almost at the beginning and what I saw shook me up, there were photos of him and a girl, and that girl was none other than Bailey herself. Those were the photos in the process of deletion I believe.
I felt like my whole body had gone numb, I lifted my eyes from my phone and stared at her, she has dated Tucker? But she was not his type, she was more like an opposite image of me.
I quickly send Steven a text, explaining this whole situation.
Steven: Ask her!
That idiot!
"Umm Bailey!" I know it was a bad idea to ask her upfront, but it was necessary to know about him from someone he has dated. She didn't answer, her headphones were plugged in, so I lifted my cell phone and waved the screen her way. She took off the headphones and smiled, "can I ask you a very personal question?" I awkwardly mumbled, she stared at my face for a moment and then asked,
"What is it about?" her eyes were squeezed as if she was trying to figure out what I was going to ask her.
"Uma boy named Tucker!" I said and quickly bit my tongue, she looked down and sighed.
"Yep, I dated the guy whose family has adopted you." she murmured, and looked bluntly at my face, my heart skipped a beat, not only because she boldly stated that but because she knew who I was.
I forward her exact words to Steven and his response was even lamer than before.
Steven: Ask, how was it?
I narrowed my eyes at the screen and frowned, is he serious? Who even talks like that?"Um, how was it?" since I have no idea myself, I did what Steven said to do.
"The relationship?" she inquired, slowly closing her laptop, as she prepared herself for a fight?
"Yeah!" I whispered,
"Well, he took me his home, his mother gave me a glass of milk, kind of forcing me with her emotional drama, then did the same to Tucker and the next thing I know, I woke up in Tucker's bed. We both couldn't remember what happened, but obviously, we were under the influence of that milk she gave us, I ended up being--," She halted, the pain on her face telling me that something terrible happened, "pregnant." tears appeared in her eyes, "I was too young for that, I tried to tell Tucker but his mother blackmailed me into breaking up with him." Whatever she was saying was way too much for my innocent little brain, "she had my nudes, not only mine but when Tucker and I were doing it, she took pictures." she closed her eyes and her body shivered, she hugged herself and began sobbing silently. I was in a state of shock but she needed me at that moment, I rushed out of my bed and hugged her.
"His mother hated my mother, she only did it so that my mother will not be able to lift her eyes before her. Lauren told me if I didn't keep the child, she will leak all my pictures, I did what she said and when I was five months pregnant already she made me kill my baby, she liked the torture I was in." she was sobbing and shivering, "and then she leaked the images, but edited her son out of them." she pushed me a little away and cupped her face in her hands, crying like crazy. What the heck! That was a crime committed by Lauren. She needs to be out in jail for this crime.
I stared at her for a moment and didn't move, it felt like she wanted to tell someone what she went through.
"My parents always thought I slept with some random guy and did all that, nobody knows the truth, but you know." she was shaking and stammering. "I was called so many names, wherever I walked from, boys bet on me, they thought I was some wh**** ready to sleep with anyone." listening to her reminded me of my horrors, the terrors Lauren had fed me.
"She tried to get me rap**," I stated and silence hit the surrounding, "I survived, but the things I went through my whole childhood made me a weak, fragile and stupid girl." I held her hand and rubbed it gently between my hands. "Does Tucker know what she did to you?" I questioned, and she lowered her head.
"He is not what he used to be, he doesn't even remember many things," she murmured and cleaned her cheeks from the tears with the back of her hand. "In case you haven't noticed, Tucker is losing his mind, he remembers nothing, he acts like he sees things," she calmed herself pretty quickly, she indeed was a strong girl, nothing like me. "I don't blame him honestly, his mother is a witch or even worse." she sighed and rubbed her face in her hands.
"I am trying to catch Lauren, to expose her for who she is." I stated and she tilted her face to me, "but what you just told me had shaken my whole existence." I was honestly scared now, she has no limits, she can go to any extent to get what she wants.
"Don't even think of that, not only you will fail miserably, but she will make sure anyone you have ever loved is punished too." the way she said it, I felt goosebumps.
"I am not quitting, she has to stop," I mumbled determinedly.
................
Two Days Later:
I have told my friends everything that Bailey told me and according to Steven, we have to rush. We have to do things quickly, we can't let Lauren have time to think for her defense, but we didn't even have a plan.
"Hey!" we all turned at Tucker, who we have called to meet us at the cafe. It was his and Steven's first encounter like that.
"How are you?" I quickly asked and smiled his way.
"I am fine." He mumbled, his eyes stuck at Steven, who was shaking his foot and nodding his head like there was music playing in his head.
"So we were thinking to do a night stay at someone's house." Dina jumped, smiling, and showing her teeth. We had planned to stay at Tucker's place, I knew Lauren would do something that night.
"Okay!" Tucker nodded, slowly coming close to me as he slid nearby my side. I awkwardly watched Steven's face, who briefly watched the reducing space between us and looked away, still singing songs in his mouth.
"But we don't have a place." I shrugged my shoulders, kind of asking him to offer us his place to crash.
"We have Lock's mansion," Tucker commented, a smirk appearing on his lips. Steven bit his lower lip and ceased moving with the imaginary music, tilting his face to the right, Steven stared at Tucker.
"His stepmother is a party pooper." I instantly responded, looking at Steven, and then at Tucker, they were constantly staring at each other.
"What about Tucker's place?" Sid, who I knew would jump in to defend his friend, announced with a fake wide smile.
"Sure!" Tucker quickly replied he wanted to bring Steven down for not being able to make decisions at his own place. We all agreed to meet at his place this Sunday.
We all walked out of the cafe, and before Steven could even mumble, Tucker offered me a ride. I looked at Steven and he nodded that it was okay.
"Are you sure?" I asked Steven, making sure Tucker doesn't hear us, which he couldn't as he was already in his car.
"Yeah!" he looked away and mumbled, "but I do think we did wrong by giving Lauren so many days to plan something horrible" he mumbled, making sense.
"I am not afraid, I have you now." I smiled, walking away, and kept smiling at him, he smiled back sweetly.
I got in the car with Tucker and for some reason, he waited for Steven to be gone.
