Chapter 19: Chapter 19

Twaine's Point of View :

Ana and I are in the hospital now. We were also close to Roxanne's room but before we could finally get close to the room I let out a series of sighs.

"Twaine, are you sure you really want to talk to Miss Sanchez?" Ana made sure to ask me more.

"Yes, I'm sure." I answered.

"In that case, come on. Let's go in while she has no other guests." I nodded at her. She also went inside first so I followed her. Kyle is not here now, maybe he's taking care of something. It would be better for us not to meet again. Because I don’t know if I’ll ever be able to see him after all.

"Why are you here? Are you here again to fight me?" She asked raising her eyebrows.

"Psh, I'm not here for a fight." I said in almost crying.

"Ana, can you leave us first?" I beg Ana. She hugged me before she left the room.

"C'mon Twaine, if you're here just to scold me again—"

"I'm not here to do that Miss Sanchez," I interrupted what she could say.

"I know you're dying and you badly needed him. I already let him go." I said weakly. She never spoke again. She just listened to me.

"I wanted you to take care of him and love him more than yourself." I added more.

"Why are you saying those things?" She asked with a frown.

"Because I'm giving him up. He's all yours, Roxanne. Hopefully, you'll love him more than I love him." I forced a smile to telling those words to her.

"Don't worry, even if you don't say those things, I will and will continue to do that. Thank you for understanding me." She smiled at me.

"Don't be thankful first because when everything goes well, I'll take him back from you too." I said sweetly before I turned away.

"Let's see if you can do that. Kyle is mine now, and he'll be mine forever!" she shouted.

'What a desperate bitch!'

"Whatever!" I just said.

"W-what are you doing here? Did you do something wrong?" Kyle greeted me with a question. He was carrying a basket of fruit in his right hand and flowers in the other.

'He should be doing that to me, right?'

I wanted to answer him but I had no strength because I know by the time I spoke, I knew I would cry. I just ignored him. I just passed him by.

"Ana, let's go." I said to Ana after I get out of Roxanne's room.

"How's the talk between you and her?" she's pertaining to Roxanne.

"Fine." I sparingly answered.

"Twaine!" Kyle calls me. I wanted to stop and look back at him but I really couldn’t. I don’t want to see him because I’m weak. It might hurt me even more if I forced myself to get closer to him.

"Ana, let's go! Hurry up!" We almost ran away from the hospital.

After more than half an hour of travel, we arrived at Ana's house.

"Thanks for coming with me," I thanked her.

"As what I've told you from the beginning, I'm always here for you. Just be strong, okay? Jeremy and I was always there for you."

"Thank you. All right, you should go inside first and I'll be heading home too." I told her.

"All right, be careful when you go home." I just smiled to Ana before waving my goodbye.

1 month later.

Omg, I'm late!

When I got out of the taxi, I ran to enter the University. God! We have an exam today and I still look like I'm going to die, Gosh!

I came out of the classroom with a sweat because of running. They were all serious when I arrived, that's why I did the sign of the cross because I knew the exam was starting.

I lost hope that I would be able to take the exam, so I started to step away but I was stopped when they suddenly made noise and;

"HAPPY BIRTHDAY, TWAINE!" They greeted me at once. I was speechless in the scene they did for my birthday. I just noticed that the classroom was full of pink balloons. They also had a cake prepared for me.

'Omg, I'm crying!'

"WE LOVE YOU, OUR PRINCESS!" At the same time, they said again that's why I cried all the time.

"You guys making me cry!" I complain to them.

"Wishing time!" Ana suddenly said holding the cake now.

"Close your eyes and make your wish, my princess." Jeremy said with a smile as he lit the three candles on top of the cake one by one. I closed my eyes and did what they said. After making a wish, I also blew out the candles.

"IT'S EATING TIME!" Suddenly, our class president shouted and we all laughed.

"HAHAHA!"

They even prepared a lot of foods for my birthday. I didn't expecting all of these. They gave their efforts just to prepared this. I'm so thankful that I have them.

"Thank you guys, thank you so much for all your effort. For remembering my birthday." I shed tears of gratitude to them.

"Gosh, of course because it's you! We love you so much." Said Sister Missy, our secretary in the classroom.

"You should also thank your two close friends, it's their idea!" Migz spoke. Our vice president. I looked at Jeremy and Ana, they just smiled at me so I gave them a big hug.

"Thank you guys!"

"Anything for you." They said.

"Gosh! Enough with the drama, we're already starving!" Our class president again.

"HAHAHA!" We just answered her with laughter.

While they were having fun, I couldn’t help but think of Kyle. Maybe, if Roxanne wasn’t on the scene he would most likely be with me celebrating today.

It's sad that we can't continue with our plan today. That only the two of us will be celebrating at home. Even if there is no fancy party, the only important thing for me is to be with him. It's just that there's nothing, because Roxanne is on the scene, so, there's no plan to continue.

I just sighed before I sliced the cake they prepared. Hopefully, I'm always with my classmates now to always have fun.

Speaking of my flight, I'm leaving tomorrow. Over the past month I have fixed everything. My passport and my future residence in Toronto. I already enrolled through online. I was accepted, they said I just need to submit my documents personally and then I can enter anytime.

"Hey! You're thinking too deep?" Ana patted me which brought me back to reality.

"Huh? N-not really." I answered.

"I know you, Twaine. What are you thinking? Is it Kyle?" she asked.

"No, I'm just wondering what my life will be like in Canada." I said sadly.

"Why? Are you leaving?" I nodded with a sad look on my face.

"What?" Ana's screams caused my classmates to be stunned at their food.

"Are you, leaving? When?" they asked.

"To-tomorrow," I answered weakly.

"You're leaving? Why don't we know?" Complaints from my classmates.

"Sorry guys, all of a sudden." I sadly answered them. They no longer spoke. I know they understand me as well. Maybe they just can't believe that my flight will open right away.

"Take care in there Twaine, wherever you go." They told me sadly. I just looked at them.

"GROUP Hug!" They shouted, so we hugged in a group. After I said goodbye and celebrated my birthday, everything was back to normal again.
