Chapter 39: Chapter 39

It was morning when he opened his eyes. Beside him, he saw Edward lying down, still in the same clothes, smiling softly at him?

'Already up?'

He nodded, then looked down as the man kissed his forehead, then got out of bed. 'Hazel told me. Verdict has been found the traitors.'

Reluctantly, he gave a big yawn, then caught up with Edward. 'Then? Any updates?'

'We're still waiting for you about the next plan,' Edward walked toward the wardrobe, then applied the jacket that the man had stored in the closet yesterday on him.

'That's right,' he caught his jacket, looked at the jacket. His body is much better than yesterday. 'But, you also joining us?'

'Certainly. Is there any problem?'

'Are you sure? I don't want anything bad to happen to you,' Raymond got out of bed.

'I have a reason to come. After all, how could I let my boyfriend fight alone while I am lazily hanging around here?'

'And how about the cafe?'

'I've asked for leave for the three of us. And since my uncle also knew the reason, it doesn't matter. I found someone that could replace us for a while.'

'But—'

Edward immediately pursed his lips with a kiss before he continued, a reflex mind pushing Edward's body away as he closed his lips. 'W-what the heck?'

'Can't I kiss my boyfriend?'

'It's not the case! I'm not done talking yet!'

'So, it's okay then to kiss you one more time?' said Edward. 'Besides, I already know what you're trying to say. I won't let you do it alone.'

There was a knock on the door from outside. Edward walked to the door and opened it. He who was now standing behind Edward saw Hazel standing in front of the bedroom door, wearing clothes that made his eyes blink in amusement. Hazel looked very cute, but he was sure the clothes she was wearing did not belong to her, considering Hazel's dress style was always elegant mature, not cute.

Although that did not mean what Hazel was wearing now did not fit her.

'Hi,' Hazel waved at Raymond. 'Amanda allowed me to borrow her clothes. How is my appearance? Is it suit me?'

'It is,' Without thinking, he walked over to Hazel. 'Very suitable. Sweet. Why didn't you always wear clothes like this from the start?'

'I-is that so?' Hazel looked down in embarrassment, looking blushed all over her neck. 'Maybe I should consider changing my style?'

'No problem. But I think anything doesn't matter. Both are suitable for you.'

'Seriously?'

Raymond nodded. His hand wanted to hold Hazel when Edward immediately prevented, and in exchange, the man took him with a quick smile. 'Let's go to the dining room. You must be hungry, right?'

He did not understand why the man prevented him from taking Hazel's hand which he thought was a natural thing. Hazel seemed to have realized his intention because the woman caught up with him taking her free left hand, followed by Edward's sharp glance. For some reason, he felt this was much better. It felt much more comfortable holding their hands.

'This much better. Isn't it?' Hazel said it by sending a wink.

Raymond answered it with a steady nod, but not with Edward, who looked shocked at his reaction.

'Is there something wrong?' asked Raymond, looking at Edward.

'No. As long as you're happy, that's enough for me,' Edward tightened his grip, transferring the warm temperature of the man towards his hand.
