Chapter 47: Chapter 47
"But Sanaya, leaving without telling him is not a right thing. You..." Since there was nothing in his heart for her, why would she tell him that she was leaving...
She could not help but interrupt Mrs. Elisa. "He cheated on me."
"What?" To hear this was her fear. Mrs. Elisa once thought she would probably get to know about it but this soon... It was unexpected to her. Their life just started and it was at its ending point before even reaching half of its peak.
Letting out a sarcastic smile Sanaya looked up and explained, "I saw it with my own eyes, he was with three different women. He... He met them behind my back, he kept hurting me continuously... Trust me, I have tried believing him but..."
"Sanaya, everything has a solution. How about we talk to him? You can ask him face to face and maybe..."
"Talk to him... To get more hurt?"
"No, dear. Maybe it's n... Like it could be wrong. Maybe you misunderstood him?"
Sanaya nodded her head and looked at her. If not she would see him meeting them, she would probably never believe it but how could she ignore what she saw? "I can't misunderstand. Everything happened in front of my eyes, I even tried to ... I felt so low, you know. I can be stupid but enough with his treating me this way. I am no longer going to get fooled by him. He can't hurt me, no."
"But Sanaya..."
Interrupting her Sanaya coughed. "Mrs. Elisa, I hope you can understand me. I am tired of getting hurt. I... I don't want to get hurt anymore. And for that staying away from him is the best solution for me right now."
Seeing her sad Mrs. Elisa hugged her. She patted her back and asserted, "I'm sorry, I was thinking maybe it was a... I won't say it again. I hope everything turns out well for you. But you will come back, right?"
"Hmm. I will once I be....." It was not yet time, she could not say anything to Mrs. Elisa. Mr. Selvano told her clearly not to let anybody know about it.
Sanaya was sad to leave Mrs. Elisa behind but she was out of choice. She had to leave all alone. Leaving everything behind, it was time she needed to walk forward without looking back.
As she walked out of the grand foyer she stopped at her feet. She could still see herself walking through the entrance hall in her bridal attire. When she came here she did not think that she could leave this soon. But what was decided must be done.
Taking a deep sigh she looked up. Then she walked out of the mansion without looking back anymore...
Flashback
At the mansion
In the morning
'Beautiful...' Nick's footsteps stopped as he saw Sanaya walk towards the breakfast table. In a light yellow color saree, bangles in both hands, vermillion on her head, a bindi on the middle of her forehead, earrings when the corner of her saree was swiveling on the floor with her walking. He could not blink his eyes but helplessly looked at her.
"Good morning." That sunny smile on her face as she saw him. Exactly like the first day after their marriage when she was looking like this. Seeing her smile the corner of his lips widened. "Morning." He wished back and walked towards the breakfast table.
He was yet to sit on his chair when his eyes caught on the delicious-looking foods on the breakfast table. Did she cook all of those for him? He heard his inner self whispering encouragingly.
Letting out a soft cough he took his seat and asserted, "Philip cooked so many dishes in the morning."
Sanaya was silent, she quietly served him. After what happened last night, he did not expect her to cook for him.
"You can't eat all of these, so eat a little from all the dishes." She said while serving him rice on his plate and still looking at her, he just nodded his head.
He was so lost in her that he was just playing with the fork and looking at her. Until Mrs. Elisa coughed.
"You should eat too. We can go together to work." Taking a spoonful of mouth he asserted.
Sanaya sat on a chair and said, "I want to talk to you about it. I want to take some days off."
"What happened? Are not you feeling well?" As he was about to touch her forehead she grabbed his hand. "I am ok. I just... I just wanna take a break."
"Ahh ok but..." He was not finished yet and his phone rang. He glared at his phone for a second then cutting the call, he put it under his coat. But again it started ringing, he seemed to be pissed off and cut the call again.
Sanaya who was observing everything asked him, "Who's it?"
"None of your... I mean nobody. It's nobody. Just a wrong number" He smiled hesitantly as if he was trying to hide something from her.
But then again his cell phone rang and this time he let out a sigh of frustration. "Why don't you pick it up? Maybe it's... Someone important." Sanaya shot.
He nodded his head in disagreement and was about to say something but just then his phone rang for the fourth time. He got up angrily and grabbed his phone furiously then looked at it.
"You haven't finished ea..." She got up as she saw him walk away.
Nick didn't spare her a gaze but sounded annoyed, "Who can eat so much in the morning?"
Sanaya stood still, she only saw his sudden changing behavior. "Nick?"
Only her sad voice dragged him to turn around. He cut the call and glared at her while holding his phone in his hand with much pressure. "Sorry, I... I will finish eating. Gimme two minutes, ok?"
And turning around he walked upstairs, leaving her standing alone. But she was not so surprised to see him running from her in a hurry. The far she could expect what could be the reason, it was not hurting her like it used to be. Since she has seen his true face.
'Don't worry, you won't have to shout at me or hide from me anymore. From today on, you are free to do whatever you want and... So do I.'
It was only ten minutes later when Nick got down the stairs while talking to someone on the call. Sanaya walked after him as she had something to do with him... She awaited him.
"Ok, I understood. Thank you." After he was done talking on the call as he turned around he collided with her. To make sure she would not get hurt, he grabbed her waist when he had his phone in his other hand.
It could be a beautiful feeling, a beautiful moment for both of them but how sad, she did not feel that way or it could be said that she could not feel that way anymore. Not even a minute passed and he pushed her away. He asked her in a cold tone, "Are you okay?"
Nodding her head she looked at him. "I have a meeting soon so... Bye."
As he walked past her she suddenly asked him to turn around. "Nick, wait."
"What is it?"
"Can you hug me?" She smiled at him saying so. To him, everything seemed normal, her behavior was okay too.
He walked towards her and hugged her. "Thank you." She said wrapping her arms around his neck though somewhere in her heart, it was hurting her.
"For what?" He questioned her.
Smiling she answered him, "I just wanted to thank you." 'For hurting me.'
Only if she could but she could not help her tears. To hide her tears she pressed the back of her palm over her mouth and cried silently.
Could he feel it? Could he feel how hurt she was? "Sana..." But as he glared at her he saw her smiling. 'Was I thinking too much? Right, why would she be crying?'
"You are getting late. Go now." She told him. "You take care of yourself." He responded. Their fingers still touching and their eyes still fixed at each other. He was walking backward and she was smiling at him standing still.
He had a strange feeling as if she was going to leave. But why would she? She let his hand go when he noticed she was not holding his hand anymore. More time was passing by and he was feeling uneasy more.
"Bye." With a smile playing on her face she said so. "Bye." He walked away slowly. Until he vanished she kept looking at him, even though it was just for a little while.
When he left in his car she took a deep sigh. The last stroke on her 'being his wife's identity' was done now, it was time for her to come back to reality. Wiping off the last drop of her tears in the name of 'getting hurt' she turned around.
Getting in her room she took off everything she wore because of him. This was the last time she wanted to get ready for him, to cook for him, and to take care of him so she did.
She threw everything that she wore in the cupboard and closed the door. Taking her luggage she walked out of her room. While passing by his room for a moment, her eyes caught inside his room.
She walked in and looked around. She could see his shadow walking here and there, she could see him stay happy without her. Letting out a sigh she put a note on the side table and then she walked out of his room.
As she was taking a step ahead she could feel herself getting freed from a step backward. Now, what was there that could pull her backward? Nothing.
"Sanaya..." Mrs. Elisa walked towards Sanaya as soon as she saw her.
She was surprised to see her. Sanaya looked like an unmarried girl. No vermilion, no bangles, and no wedding ring. In a baggy t-shirt, jeans, and sneakers when her hair was in a messy gun, she had no make-up putting on.
"Are you going somewhere?" Mrs. Elisa asked her.
Sanaya shook her head and answered her shortly. "Yes."
"Ahh, right. You said you would take a break. Are you going to..."
"I am... I am leaving this mansion, Mrs. Elisa."
As soon as she heard Sanaya she widened her eyes. "Leaving? What do you mean? What happened and..."
"I mean I am not going to stay here anymore. I am going to leave with my belongings." Sanaya decided it last night and not even for once, she felt like maybe she took the wrong decision. She was not regretting and she was not going to. To become successful she could do anything now.
**
"I can go alone. Clara." Sanaya said again.
Clara was crying, she could not help but hug her. "I will miss you, bae."
"I will miss you too," Sanaya replied her. Though Sanaya said she would go to the airport taking a cab but Clara did not let her, she went with her.
It took thirty minutes to reach the airport and on the way both Sanaya and Clara were sad. Who thought she would have to leave her best friend too, even though it was for some months but Clara was too sad.
When they reached the airport Clara took out the luggage from the trunk when Sanaya was sitting in the car. "I wonder what'll it be like when I will become a model..."
Getting a call she let out a sigh and said, "I am at the airport."
"Great. You will see my assistant when you enter. Good luck, Miss Sanaya." She heard the person from the other side of the call say so. With a faint smile, she replied, "Thank you."
Taking a last glance at Nick's photo on her phone she turned it off. Then she got out of the car.
Clara walked with her for two more minutes as she was soon going to be apart from her. Though she was sad but at the same time happy for Sanaya. It took her courage to come up with the decision. Apart from the thing that she was trusting a different person whom she did not even know Clara was happy to see her be brave and wanting to do something out of her imagination.
"I am going now." Sanaya hugged her one last time.
"Call me once you get the phone they'll provide you ok?" Sanaya nodded her head as she heard Clara. Then she walked forward, with the same hope she had when she ran away from her home back in India but this time nothing could stop her from becoming the star she wanted to be...
