Chapter 36: Chapter 36

The corner of her saree was swiveling in the boulevard, her hair was drifting in the breeze. It took her one hour to get ready, she was so delighted. But now...

Some hours ago

"Thank you so much for helping, Mrs. Elisa." Sanaya would be late if Mrs. Elisa wouldn't have helped her. "Go now. Little Nick might be waiting for you." She snickered at Sanaya.

Aiden has ridden her back to the construction safely. "Should I call boss and..." Sanaya interrupted him. She wanted to surprise Nick. "No, I want to give him a surprise."

As she announced so Aiden did not inform Nick beforehand. Thinking of how happy Nick would be Sanaya kept grinning. Getting out of the elevator she glanced at the lunch box in her hand and glowed again. The more she was strolling towards his cabin the more timid she was getting. She glimpsed at her saree again. Before packing lunch for him she wore a pink colored silk saree and did some little make-up. Today she put on her favorite perfume. A beautiful Bengali wife, she was looking like.

Standing in front of his cabin Sanaya bit her lips and then she was about to knock when she heard a woman's voice coming inside his cabin. It was an unfamiliar voice that she never heard of before.

Sanaya opened the door slightly. In an utter surprise, she could barely believe her eyes. "I could not help missing you in my bed so I had to come here." The woman was sitting on Nick's lap, her hand was wrapped around his neck when she was looking into his eyes. Sanaya covered her mouth with both her hands, was she dreaming? With her wide eyes, she saw the woman to touch his hand and without moving the eye contact she put his hand on her right breast. "Don't you feel like doing something?" The woman told him in an alluring tone.

Sanaya nodded her head in contradiction as if the whole world started going aloof, the sky has adjourned off her head. But unfortunately, it was not a dream. She saw Nick to brush his thumb against her cheeks and then kissing on her cheeks. Sanaya lost the strength to move, she felt like she was extinct. She felt herself sort of breathing, what was happening... She could not take it. But how could she think everything that she was seeing as a dream only? Nick, her husband... In front of her eyes was kissing another woman?

Sanaya stood still, exhorting herself to get in his cabin but her fingers felt weaker. What she saw next was clear than enough to prove the castle she was trying to call as hers was never hers but it was a freaking fable that she assumed to be true. The woman smirked while biting her lower lip then touching his hand she moved it under her skirt. For the last time, Sanaya was hoping, "No, don't. Push her away, Nick. I will believe she is... She is seducing... You..."

But even the last odds was yanked away so easily. Nick smiled devilishly and moved his hand under her skirt further while keeping his eyes fixed with hers...

Sanaya turned around, her precarious legs could not do anything to her. As if she was some mirage, she was wandering in the same row without looking right or left.

"Is Boss not at his cabin?" Hearing Kyle's voice Sanaya raised her head and saw Kyle standing in front of her.

Sanaya glanced at the lunch box. "I don't know." Saying, she gave the lunch box to Kyle and strolled past him. "Is something... Wrong?" Though Kyle asked her but she did not hear him. Kyle was perplexed seeing how she seemed to be lost like that.

From afternoon it turned into evening, time passed faster than other days. Sanaya was waddling on the road. Alone, lost in her world, as if it was a lifeless body.

She ran away from her home, to not to get married and her fate was so cruel, she got married here. Eventually, marriage was what she had in her fate. But what did she do to get hurt like this?

"What did I do wrong? Tell me, what did I do wrong? Why? Why must he cheat on me? Why God? Since he loves someone else why did he marry me?... It... It hurts here. God, it hurts here..." Sanaya could not help, she kneeled on the ground while pointing her finger at her chest. She cried out louder between her tears.

How happy she was today, even this afternoon she was cooking for him while smiling, thinking he would be so happy. She could never think that she would get to know the only reason why he had been treating her differently.

Grabbing her hair she started pulling them, tears were rolling down to her eyes. "So this is how it feels when you get cheated...." She whimpered.

Looking at the sky she remembered when she kept rejecting him. It was not her fault to get trapped, she tried to reject him but fate could not let her do what she wanted. She giggled sarcastically.

She no longer knew what she could do. She did not have any energy to walk. She did not know whether she should laugh at herself for being a fool or not, she screamed in pain. Her heart was aching so badly. Why? They just got married and she did not love him, right? Why was her heart was agonizing badly? She dabbed her chest and tried to stop her tears from coming out of her eyes. The more she patted her chest the more throbbing she felt. She could not stop shedding tears...

"Sanaya?" Clara ran to Sanaya as fast as she could. She was surprised to see Sanaya disastrous. She never saw her broken this way before. Touching her shoulder Clara said worriedly, "What happened babe? Get up. Come with me, we will..."

"My legs... They feel paralytic. What should I do? What should I do now? Clara." Tears swirling down to her eyes, Sanaya looked so miserable that even Clara felt her heart ailing for her.

"What are you saying? When did it happen?" She gawked at her legs.

Sanaya laughed suddenly. Clara saw her smiling before, her laughter was cute but not like now as if she was hurt but still laughing. Concerned Clara touched her face gently, "What happened? Tell me. Please don't be like this."

"Nick... He loves someone else you know? He... He has another woman, she is so beautiful... Haha." Hearing her Clara got shocked. "What?"

Sanaya glanced at her and grinned. Nodding her head she smiled again when a drop of tears escaped her eyes. "He kissed another woman. They might have... Might have s*x several t... What should I do now? Tell me, Clara, what should I do now?"

Clara snuggled her, "We will figure out something. Everything will be ok, babe. Control yourself."

"Nothing will be ok... I... I saw him kissing that woman. Do you know? You know he was... He was... He moved his hand inside her.. inside her skirt, I saw..." Sanaya covered her mouth with her hand, if only tears were easy to stop she could stop crying. Clara was so disgruntled, she clenched her fists. "I will talk to him! How can he do this!"

When Clara got up Sanaya held her hand. Glancing at her helplessly she let out, "No, please don't."

"But Sanaya, he.".

Sanaya wiped off her tears, trying to not let tears clouding her vision. Wheezing she asserted, "I know. I know he does not love me, I know he cheated on me but... But I am fine. Let him be like he is."

"What? No, Sanaya. We can not do that. He is a total jerk! How can he hurt you? He is just...."

Trying to hold onto her tears Sanaya smiled. "I am so stupid, right? I am so easy to make a fool of. Haha."

"No, you are not. It is him who is stupid. I am going to teach him a lesson for..." Sanaya stopped Clara from going to her car. "Please don't."

"But Sanaya..."

"I am ok. Can I stay with you tonight? I don'want to go back..." Even though her heart was aching she did not want to talk to him about it. There might have been some reason for which he married her but now, Sanaya did not want to talk about it.

Sanaya looked at her feet, even tears were not listening to her today. Clara took her in her car.

In the car, Sanaya was staring outside the car window. She could remember exactly like this, she was sitting in the car when she was thinking of her future. She was so happy thinking she was going to make an achievement, she was going to touch the sky. How soon her world parted differently, right?

She lost everything so soon. Family, home and freedom, everything... She was married now, no way she could go back to her country, to her parents. Why did her happiness had been smashed so soon? She remembered, "Mom, why do they say that once a girl is married her husband's home is her home and until she dies she is not supposed to leave that house?" When she asked her mom, her mom smiled. Then she answered her, "It's our fate, dear. We girls don't have our home, it's either our parent's home or our husband's home. After marriage, we get apart from our parents, and we accept the new home as our only home. Until we die we stay at our husband's home."

She saw her mom smile but deep down she knew her mom was crying, crying in her heart. She knew when her grandparents died her mom went there but she could not stay much because she was not allowed to.

Sanaya wanted to hug her mother and cry her heart out but how could she? Her mom was in India, she might not know that Sanaya was crying. How unfortunate of her! She got married to a man who did not love her... Closing her eyes Sanaya tried to fall asleep. If sleeping would help her to forget the pain for some time she would want it.

Clara never thought she would see Sanaya this way one day. Her eyes were swallow, she was so silent. As they reached her home Sanaya walked towards her room that she used to stay at.

"Let's have dinner first then..."

"I am sleepy." Sanaya seemed numb. She just mumbled without looking at Clara. "But you..." Sanaya walked into her room without letting her finish.

Clara let out a sigh of resentment. This was so heartbreaking to hear. It was not even six months since they got married and this soon, she got heartbroken. Getting cheated by her husband, was the worst nightmare she could ever have. Clara could not do something for her as her hands were tied because of Sanaya.

Getting in her room Sanaya walked to the bed and simply laid her body on the bed. She gaped at the roof. Slowly she closed her eyes when tears rolled down to the corner of her eyes...
