Chapter 46: Chapter 46
THIRD POV
“Damn it!”
“Stay where you are and don’t move.”
“However, m-master…”
When their master gave him the death stare, Solen bowed down.
“They gave you a strange drug, so you can’t go back to work yet,” he said solemnly to Solen.
Solen leaned back, her entire body numb from the gun that Carter Knight had fired at her. It ruined all of her plans after the event, so it sent her back to San Martin for treatment after a strange medicine hit her entire body.
As she is old, and her body will find it difficult to return to its previous state, a doctor was called to check her condition.
“You bitch, Scarlett!” screamed Solen, punching her bed because she couldn’t move her legs.
“I warned you, but you didn’t listen; the youngest of the Knights thinks otherwise, and you won’t know what she does next, especially since they’re quiet now.”
Solen Madrid came to a halt and looked at their master, who sat in front of her.
“Did you know they kicked your daughter out of the mansion?”
She shook her head and took a deep breath.
“I do not know where your daughter is going. TSK.”
Solen bowed because it was her fault her plan had failed.
Scarlet Knights, as their master pointed out, are a dangerous opponent.
“Mr. Smith,”
“How is Solen, Doc?”
The Doctor sighed and handed the laptop to Mr. Smith.
“I noticed a strange medicine, and I’m not sure what it is; I don’t know where they got the medicine that will numb a person’s entire body,” said the doctor, shaking his head as he clarified how to treat Solen.
Mr. Smith frowned because even their good Doctor did not know what medicine was being used.
“I have no chance of moving?!? That can’t be! I still have to take revenge against Scarlet Knights for what she did to me!” Solen yelled angrily at the Doctor, who sighed.
“You can move again, but it’s dangerous because if you use it badly, you’ll cannot move for the rest of your life,”
Solen’s eyes widen. “No! I have something to finish!”
Mr. Smith just looked at the Doctor and nodded, so the Doctor took his experimental drug, which could be an antidote to the drug used on Solen Madrid.
“You drink it, you can only use it for one day,” he said seriously, handing Solen the medicine he had made, so she could move again.
Solen smirked and took another drink, eager to exact revenge on Scarlett for what she had done to her.
She won’t let her get ahead of her in the fight.
“Father.”
“Jaguar.”
Solen’s eyes widened as she turned to face the person she despised.
Jaguar smirked at Solen’s state and sat down in front of her.
“It’s been a while, babe.”
Solen glared at Jaguar, who smirked.
“W-what are you doing here?”
Solen couldn’t deny that she had feelings for Jaguar, that she had feelings for someone younger than her because the young man cheated her. Her rage grew.
“I heard about what happened to you, and I didn’t think the Knights would surpass you, TSK. A Solen Madrid seems to weaken," said Jaguar, smiling and staring at her.
Solen trembled with rage and glared at him.
“I have to go, I have something else to do,” said Jaguar as he smirked and he exited the room.
“Sir,”
Jaguar nodded and exited their hideout to follow Scarlett Knight.
“Master, why is Jaguar here?”
Mr. Smith smirked. “I assigned him the mission of stopping Scarlett Knight from devising a plan so that we can monitor their every move.”
Mr. Smith’s words widened Solen Madrid’s eyes.
“Do you trust him?”
Mr. Smith gave her a nod.
“Of course, he’s my adopted son, and I know he won’t disappoint me.”
Solen clenched her fist and remained silent because she didn’t trust him.
She also witnessed Mr. Smith’s adoption of Jaguar.
*** FLASHBACK
“Master!”
Solen stood to greet Mr. Smith, but a young man with her master stopped her.
“Master, who is he?”
Mr. Smith smirked and held the young Jaguar’s head, who was only fifteen years old.
“From now on, he’s my son,”
Solen’s eyes widened as she stared at the young Jaguar, who was staring at him emotionlessly.
“Did you take him in?”
Mr. Smith sat on the sofa after nodding to Solen. “He’s a smart kid; we can use him when the time comes; we’ve been silent for a long time, and we’ll return to ruin the Knights,”
Solen remained silent because Mr. Smith might become enraged if she defied her master’s orders.
She had been watching Jaguar while he was being trained by Mr. Smith for several weeks. She is wary of the young man because of his odd look.
“Solen.”
Solen sighed and approached her master with the Jaguar.
“Have you seen your daughter yet?” asked Mr. Smith.
Solen bowed and swallowed. “I can’t get close to my daughter because she’s always with Sharlene and Vernon’s daughter,” she said, clenching her fists.
She supposed to win Vernon’s heart and divorce Vernon’s wife after giving Vernon a child, but she also learned that Sharlene became pregnant and did not return her child to her.
Chairman Knight even paid her not to bother their family, so her rage grew to where she joined her master in taking revenge on the Knights.
“We need your daughter to monitor the Knights; time is running out, Solen,” said Mr. Smith as he walked away in front of her.
Solen sat down and held her forehead because she couldn’t get close enough to her daughter to introduce herself as her mother and tell the truth that the Knights were evil to help them in their vengeance.
“Is that your daughter?”
Jaguar’s pointed photo surprised her, but she just shook her head. “N-No…”
Jaguar smirked and nodded at her. “Right, you don’t resemble her; she’s pretty, isn't she?”
Solen’s eyes widened as she noticed Jaguar staring at a photo, but that wasn’t all; Jaguar wasn’t talking about her daughter.
“Jaguar, they’re our enemy; we’re doing this to bring them down, and this girl…” she said, pointing to Scarlett’s picture. “She will be our ace to bring them down; we will use her as bait so that Verno Knight will finally hand over all of his wealth to us, okay?”
Jaguar smirked at her and grabbed his chin. “I want her to be my wife, and I want her to be mine.”
Solen widened her eyes and scolding him for ignoring her.
“Just kidding. I have someone I like,” Jaguar smirked, and he walked away from Solen.
She shook her head because Jaguar is 15 years old and already understands what they are doing, but she didn’t expect the young man to speak in front of her.
Years passed, and she stayed with Jaguar.
She returned and introduced herself to her daughter; she expected a difficult time, but she persuaded her daughter to side with them because her daughter liked someone.
Her daughter and Jaguar met, almost as if they treated each other as siblings.
“Brother.”
Jaguar looked at Sophia. “Hmm?”
“Why do you have so many photos of Scarlett and Carter? TSK. They are our enemies.”
Jaguar turned to listen in on their conversation.
“Ah, yes, your enemy.”
Sophia frowned as she wondered aloud what Jaguar was saying. “What, don’t tell me you like them?”
Jaguar raised his eyebrows, but he only shook his head and said nothing else. When he talks to Sophia, he simply loses interest.
“Damn you, brother! I have to go, they might suspect me, but don’t worry, I’ll take care of the chairman,” said Sophia as she returned to the Knights’ mansion.
While the Jaguar massaged Solen, as Solen smiled and leaned back in her swivel chair.
She also doesn’t understand why she appears to be returning to her childhood to have a crush. The last man she had feelings for was the eldest of the Knights, who was now her enemy.
“Thank you,”
“Oh, you’re welcome; I know you’re tired.”
Solen smiled at Jaguar, as she appears to be falling for him, although she treats the young man as if he were her son.
When she spends time with Jaguar on missions assigned by Mr. Smith, she grows more in love with him, although Jaguar is a womanizer.
Solen fell even more in love with the young man until something happened between them. They kept hidden from Mr. Smith because the old man would kill her if her master discovered her relationship with Jaguar.
“Are we really going to hide our relationship?” asked Solen, who had lit a cigarette while they were in bed.
Jaguar burst out laughing and hugged her. “Do you want my father to kill us?”
Solen shook her head and hugged the young man. She was also concerned that if Mr. Smith found out, he would kill them.
They continued their secret relationship without Mr. Smith knowing, but her world came crashing down when she learned that the young man had a fiancé.
“Her name is Darlene, and she’s my fiancé,” Jaguar introduced her to everyone. Solen came to a halt, her eyes widening at the two people in front of her.
“Oh, congratulations son, but you can’t get married yet; we still have a lot to do, Jaguar.”
Jaguar smirked. “Yes, papa,” he said before kissing his fiancée in front of them.
Solen clenched her fist, and she didn't think he could trick her.
“What is this Jaguar?!?” Solen asked angrily of the man smoking in front of her.
When the Jaguar saw Solen's rage, he raised his brows. “What?”
Solen clenched her fist and punched him in the chest. “Who is that woman?!?”
Jaguar lost control of his emotions and rushed at Solen, grabbing her by the jaw. “She’s my fiancé, and you’re nothing more than a trash old woman,” said Jaguar, letting go of Solen’s jaw. “You think I love you? You think I can stand being with you?”
It still surprised her what Jaguar did, so in her rage, she killed Jaguar’s fiancé thanks to Mr. Smith because they may not use Jaguar because he has a fiancé.
“We’ve done it, madam.”
Solen smirked and paid off her people for the crime, which was committed without Jaguar’s knowledge.
Jaguar went abroad to remain silent after learning about her fiancé. They’ve lost contact since then.
*** END OF FLASHBACK
Now that Jaguar has returned, she is at a loss for what to do because the young man may learn what they did to his fiancé.
“Jaguar can’t know I had anything to do with what happened to his fiancé,” Solen whispered, but she paused when her phone rang.
“Who is this?”
(“How are you doing, Soledad?”)
Solen’s eyes widened as she heard a familiar voice on the other end of the line.
“Who in the world are you?!?”
(“A friend.”)
She was about to say something when the phone call it cut off; she did not know who had called her.
Solen sighed and stood up, then smirked when she could stand up, so she removed what it attached to her and dressed to return to work.
“M-Madam…!”
“You’re getting up.”
She didn’t pay attention to her people because she still had work to do, and the medicine she took only worked for twenty-four hours before it crippled her again.
Scarlett’s every move is also important to her.
