Arhaan's P.O.V.

On my way home, I got stuck in a jam. When I looked outside, a red saree on a mannequin got on my sight and I ended up imagining that saree on Khushi and kept staring at it.

I got out of my thought with the horn of the vehicles as the jam got cleared.

I started driving again but wasn't being able to get that picture of Khushi out of my mind. Then I ended up making a u-turn and got to that mall.

I bought that saree and forwarded towards home smilingly.

When I reached home, it was 2:30 by noon. The decorations of the hall room was done and it was looking really beautiful.

Api got near me and uttered, “That's good that you are back early. Get freshen up and come for lunch.”

Without moving, I kept searching for Khushi but she was no where to be seen there.

Api spoke up then, “What happened, Vai? What's in your hand by the way?” and pointed towards the packet in my hand.

I tried to utter, “Api, it's for” but interrupting me, she spoke up smilingly, “I got it. Khushi is in the room. Go.”

After talking to Api, I forwarded towards my room. Entering my room, I found Khushi staring at the closet.

And asked her, “What are you staring at?” only to get her all startled. She turned to me and spoke up, “Oh, you are back. That's good. Api was asking for you. I was thinking what to wear in the party” and then again turned to the closet.

She surely has seen the packet in my hand. Then shouldn't she ask me what was it!

But no...

She kept staring at the closet for some moments and then closing it, she spoke up, “You didn't have your lunch, right? Freshen up. I am bringing your lunch here.”

Saying this, she forwarded to get out of the room.

In irritation I uttered under my breath, “What the!” but maybe she heard it as turning to me, she spoke up, “You said something to me?”

But still she didn't look at the packet let alone asking me about what was it.

I got near her and forwarded the packet towards her. Looking at the packet, she asked me, “What is it?”

“See for yourself. It's for you.” I spoke up smilingly only to get her uttering confusingly pointing towards herself, “For me!”

I spoke up forgetting about her family, “What is it, Khushi? Didn't anyone ever” and stopped at this point when I saw her dropped jaw.

Keeping silence for some moment, I spoke up again, “Yes. It's for you. See whether you like it.”

She kept staring at the packet but still didn't take it only to get me uttering, “Aren't you going to take it or what?”

She looked at me for once and took the packet and uttered, “Thank you.”

I uttered in a sarcastic tone, “You are most welcome.” and forwarded towards the washroom taking my clothes to get freshen up.

Khushi’s P.O.V.

Arhaan forwarded towards washroom and I kept staring at the packet for a while and then opened it only to get the sight of a beautiful red saree.

I was staring at the saree when Arhaan got out of the washroom and spoke up, “Do you like it?"

I spoke up smilingly turning to him, “It's beautiful. Thank you."

“Wear it at the party if you feel like it”. Saying this, Arhaan got out of the room.

I uttered under my breath, “But I don't know how to wear a saree.”

Giving that thought a break, I got downstairs. Arhaan was sitting in the living room with Vai and Uncle. Api uttered then, “Arhaan, all set. Come vai.”

Then Api caught the sight of me and spoke up, “Khushi, you too didn't eat then. Come dear. Have lunch now.”

I sat in the dinning table with Arhaan and api forwarded towards living room where Vai and uncle were gossiping.

We were eating silently until Arhaan spoke up, “Why didn't you have lunch with everyone?”

“I wasn't feeling like eating then.” as I uttered this, Arhaan made a disappointed face and spoke up, “I thought you would say you were waiting for me.”

Though this was the actual reason but I couldn't get to utter anything about it rather kept silent.

Getting me all surprised, Arhaan spoke up, “Whatever be the reason but don't do it again.”

I looked at him and tried to utter, “Actually I was” but interrupting me in between, Arhaan spoke up smilingly then, “Khushi, I know what was the only reason you didn't eat then. But don't do this again. Eat on time otherwise you will fall sick. You get that?”

I tried to utter something but before I could, Arhaan spoke up, “When I said don't, just don't do it. I really don't like to hear No as return. I hope I am clear, Khushi.”

Finding nothing to say, I just nodded at that and continued taking lunch while thinking of the time when I kept starving but Abbu and Vai didn't even bothered a little.

As I kept thinking this, my eyes got teary but leaving that thought at rest, I controlled my tears as I uttered under my breath, “I won't waste my tears over my past again.”

May be Arhaan heard me as I found him giving me a questioning look. Without uttering anything, I just smiled a little and finished my lunch.

After lunch we also got in the living room and kept gossiping for a while and then I got back to my room as it was prayer time.

When I was done with my prayer, Arhaan entered the room while talking on phone and as expected he opened the laptop and got working for a while.

While letting out a sigh, I uttered under my breath, “He is like really a workaholic.” and then forwarded towards Api's room.

Entering the room, I found Api trying to wake Esha up. Seeing me, api spoke up, “Khushi, help me waking her up. By this time I get her clothes ready."

I woke Esha up and dressing her, I uttered, “You are looking beautiful, sweetie."

Api took out a saree for her and turning to me, she uttered, “What are you gonna wear at the party?"

Remembering Arhaan's word, I uttered, “I am confused, Api."

She gave me a questioning look as she uttered, “Why?”

“Actually, Arhaan bought me a saree. I want to wear that but I don't know how to wear.” interrupting me at this point api spoke up smilingly, “Khushi, you have me to help you dear in that case. No worries. You go and get the other accessories ready. I will be there after sometime.”

Nodding at her, I got back to my room.

Arhaan's P.O.V.

I was working on his laptop when Muhib Vai entered the room while calling my name, “Arhaan?” only to let out a sigh as he caught the sight of me working.

Getting near me, Vai spoke up sarcastically, “Would you mind to give your work a break and get ready? So as you know the guests will start to come any moment."

“5 minutes Vai. Let me finish this.” saying this, I kept working.

While shaking his head, he left. When I was done with my 5 minutes which was actually almost 20 minutes, I closed my laptop.

I looked all around the room only to find Khushi nowhere. “Maybe she is with api”, uttering this under my breath, I got near the closet.

Taking my clothes, I forwarded towards the washroom to get change.

Getting change, I got out of the washroom and got ready. When I was done, Khushi entered the room.

She kept staring at me strangely only to get me check myself in the mirror.

I couldn't get anything strange except her look. I moved my hand in front of her eyes only to get her all startled.

Then I spoke up, “Am I looking that handsome for you to stare at me like that?”

She spoke up immediately while avoiding my gaze, “No” only to get me utter smilingly, “Then why were you staring at me?”

She kept looking everywhere except me as she spoke up, “I was just"

Right then Api entered the room and looking at me, she spoke up smilingly, “Looking handsome, Vai.”

Hearing api, I glanced at Khushi for once then turning to api smilingly spoke up, “You are also looking beautiful, Api.”

Api spoke up again then, “You go downstairs. Welcome the guests. We will be down shortly.”

Nodding at Api, I got out of the room and forwarded downstairs. Guests started coming but the people I was waiting for were nowhere to be seen.

After a while I saw Khushi on the staircase with api and I just couldn't help staring at her. She was looking more beautiful than I imagined her in that saree.

When she found me staring at her, she just kept avoiding my eyes.

I got out of the trance when vai cleared his throat. I turned to him only to get him giving me a teasing smile.

But in no moment he got serious as he uttered, “Go." and directed me towards Khushi.

I forwarded towards staircase while thinking in mind, “Even if vai wouldn't tell me, still I would have gone to her by myself. What's happening with me?”

Getting near Khushi, I just ended up forwarding my hand towards her.

Giving us a smiling look, Api got down whereas Khushi kept hesitating to hold my hand maybe.

Sensing that, I called her name, “Khushi?” and when she looked at me, I smilingly pointed her towards my hand. Still she took some time and at last held my hand hesitantly.

We got downstairs and Esha got near us running. Letting go of my hand, Khushi held Esha's hand.

Feeling something odd, I turned to her for once and then we joined the rest of our family.

Guests were coming and Api was introducing Khushi to them.Khushi was also talking to them all smilingly but suddenly the smile from her face faded away in no moment as she looked somewhere else.

I followed her gaze only to find them entering the hall room. Then I again turned to Khushi. She wasn't looking the same as before.

When Khushi's family started getting near us, Khushi tightly got hold of my hand only to get me glaring at them......
