Arhaan's P.O.V.

I got relieved when I understood Api didn't hear me as she uttered, "Why are you smiling like that, Vai?"

"Nothing Api. I am tired. I am gonna get some rest." saying this, I got up.

She spoke happily, "Okay, Vai. You take rest."

Uncle spoke up then, "And about the party, you don't have to worry a thing. Areesha and me will arrange everything and it will be tomorrow evening."

I happily nodded at them and left for my room. Entering my room, the first thing I did was looking for Khushi as I had to make sure that she wouldn't show up in my party.

But seeing her, I got stopped. I kept thinking, “Is she a kid or what!”

She was with Esha and they both were watching cartoon being all excited while eating chocolates.They didn't even notice me that I was at the door.

Then I remembered her eating ice cream when we went out for shopping before marriage.

I smiled at her childish nature. My mind chided then, "Wait a moment. Arhaan, it's Khushi. Remember?" to get me all silent.

I forwarded towards washroom to get freshen up and by the time I got out Khushi wasn't there.

Seeing me, Esha spoke up making a frowning face, "Mama, your api took all away from me."

I didn't understand what she meant and spoke up, "What did api take, sweetie?"

She started uttering cutely, "She took away my chocolate, my aunty." but hearing her last word, I got slightly irritated and "It's good then." came out automatically from my mouth.

But hearing me, Esha spoke up while shaking her head, "It's not good, Mama." which made me get silent.

And she uttered again, "Not good, Mama. I need them."

Saying this, she left my room running.

I kept standing for a while thinking of her word and at last got on the bed to get some rest as I really was tired.

By the time I woke up, it was already late in the afternoon. Getting downstairs, I found Api in the kitchen but there was no sign of Khushi.

At first I felt relieved not finding her around only to get irritated the next second thinking shouldn't she help Api in kitchen.

I was about to ask Api about her but got stopped seeing her at the entrance of the house covered in dust.

Seeing her, at first I scoffed in irritation and thought in mind, "Has she came back from field work or what!"

But when the thought of Esha came to my mind, I got worried as Esha kept following her around and if Khushi is in this state then I could easily tell what might be the condition of Esha.

I got near her while searching Esha around her and uttered loudly, "Khushi! Have you gone mad or what! How dare you take Esha out and get to this condition! "

She tried to say, "Arhaan, I didn't " but I cut her off mid sentence and uttered, "Shut up. Just keep in mind that if Esha gets to fall sick then I will make sure"

I got stopped when I heard Api uttering, "Esha is sleeping now, Arhaan."

I turned to api only to find her giving me an angry look and I just got silent. Api then again spoke up, "Khushi, are you done?"

Khushi just nodded at her and api spoke up again, "Go, freshen up then."

Khushi left from there silently and api again turned to me with the same angry look.

Before I could utter anything, she spoke up, "Arhaan, is this the way to talk to your wife?"

I tried to speak up, "Api, I just" but cutting me off, she uttered, "You what, Arhaan? What were you thinking? Khushi knows about Esha very well. And she isn't that careless to get Esha in dust. Apologise to her and treat her well. She is a nice girl."

I kept all silent hearing her being irritated enough. Saying all this, api left from there and I sat in the living room and kept thinking.

Until Khushi appeared in our life, Api never talked to me like this. But from the time she entered our life, all got changed.

Before Khushi, Esha used to be all around me whenever I was home but now she does this with Khushi.

To make my thought got proved as truth, Khushi got downstairs with Esha.

Esha glanced at me for once and then again kept talking to Khushi smilingly.

I was thinking how to get her out of our life but interrupting my thought my phone rang off.

Seeing the caller ID, I smiled a little and answered the call and Abeer just started apologising to me, "Arhaan, I am really sorry."

Being confused, I uttered, "For what?" only to get him giving explanation without telling the cause of his saying sorry, "Arhaan, I know you are angry but believe me, I was really stuck. Otherwise I would never have missed it. I am sorry."

Being irritated, I asked him, "What are you talking about? I am not getting you, Abeer."

He answered me only to make me remember the worst incident of my life, "Your marriage ceremony."

Getting hold of my anger, I uttered, "It's okay. And anyways it's not so important for which you had to get here leaving your important work. I am glad you didn't do that."

Maybe Abeer thought, I was saying this out of anger or being upset as he uttered again, "Arhaan, I said sorry."

This was getting too much and this time I also yelled at him, "And I said it's okay, Abeer"

He got silent hearing me for a moment but spoke up the next moment, "What is it, Arhaan? Is everything okay with you?"

When I kept silent, he spoke up, "I know it very well, Arhaan."

Being confused, I uttered, "What?"

He spoke up casually at first and at later got questioning me, "The way you treat a girl. But you are not doing the same with Sister-in-law Khushi as anyways she is just not any random girl but your wife now, right?"

I tried to sound normal and said, "Right."

Hearing me, he cut off the line saying, "Okay then. Got to go now. Talk to you later."

I turned to api who was still in the kitchen but this time there were Khushi and Esha also and they were gossiping happily.

Seeing Khushi's smiling face, I got irritated and got back to my room while thinking how to get her out of my life.

Right then Aman called me and after talking to him, I started working on my laptop.

I didn't know how long I worked until Esha came to my room and said, "Mama, dinner time. Mummy called you."

Saying this, she ran outside. I looked at the clock only to get it was pretty late today.

Getting downstairs, I understood why today it got late for dinner. The hall room was partially decorated for my party which was supposed to hold tomorrow.

After dinner, I sat in the living room to gossip with Vai and uncle and Api got upstairs with Esha to put her to sleep. Khushi wasn't also there but I didn't bother to know where she was as I cared the least.

Third Person's P.O.V.

After dinner Khushi got back to her room for saying her prayer. After that she put the hijab back in the closet and started arranging her clothes there to make more room for Arhaan's clothes.

Khushi was hanging her clothes in the closet when Areesha entered the room.

"Khushi, have you selected your dress for the party?" Saying this, Areesha got near her.

"Not yet, api" Khushi replied to Areesha smilingly.

Areesha got near the closet and said "Okay then, let me select it for you."

"Sure, Api" Saying this, Khushi moved from there with a smile to let Areesha select the dress.

Taking out a dress from the closet, Areesha showed to Khushi and said "Khushi, I think you should wear it. You will look lovely in this dress."

Before Khushi could say something, Arhaan entered the room.

Looking at Arhaan, Areesha said, "Arhaan, look. Isn't the dress beautiful? I was telling Khushi to wear it for your party. What do you think?"

Looking at the dress, Arhaan said, "It's beautiful Api."

Then he looked at Khushi and said to her, "You should wear it. You will look.."

Glancing at Areesha, Arhaan stopped.

Areesha smiled at them and left from there.

When Areesha went out of the room, Arhaan turned to Khushi.

Khushi was about to take out her jewellery to match something with her dress.

Arhaan went near her and grabbed her hand in a tight grip making her turned to him.

Khushi winched in pain and shockingly looked at Arhaan only to find him giving her a deadly glare.

Glaring deadly at Khushi, Arhaan said in a cold voice, "Don't even think of coming to my party."

Facing the situation, Khushi fearfully said more like stuttered, "B..but y..you sa..id.."

Arhaan interrupted her word and said, "Don't even try to pull your innocent act in front of me. Keep it stored for Api and Muhib vai."

Khushi again started to say, "Arhaan, I didn't.." only to get yelled by Arhaan.

"Just shut up."

Khushi became totally silent at this and tears started making their way from her eyes.

Arhaan didn't bother about that for a little bit and continued glaringly at Khushi deadly and said after sometime "You should have known Khushi whom to mess with."

Hearing this when Khushi looked at Arhaan sadly, he shouted again, "Just get out of my sight."

With teary eyes Khushi left from there and went to the roof.She remained there staring at the sky.

Tears were rolling down her cheeks while her heart continued silently screaming.

“Why? Just why?Why did you leave me behind, Ammi?

You should have taken me with you.

I am all tired of trying ammi. I don't want to live anymore like this Ammi. I just want to put an end to everything now..”

Saying this, Khushi looked down from the roof standing by the railing of it.....
