Chapter 37: Chapter 37

Khushi’s P.O.V.

After breakfast, I was hesitating to go back to Arhaan’s room as he was there. Maybe Areesha Api noticed that and gave me a confused look as she uttered, “Khushi, what happened dear?”

I just uttered smilingly, “Nothing api.”and forwarded towards the room but got stopped as Api spoke up, “Khushi?”

I turned to her and she spoke up, “Just like Arhaan is my little brother, you are also like my little sister. So don't hesitate to tell me anything. You can share anything with me considering me your elder sister or a friend. Okay?”

I nodded at her and left from there immediately as my eyes got teary. Though Areesha Api always treated me well but this time there was uttered concern in her voice for me.

After Ammi and kaki, she was the first one to treat me like that.

I was lost in my thought when I entered Arhaan's room and got bumped with him unintentionally.

I wasn't expecting him to hold me but he did only to leave again in no minute. I fell on the floor with a thud and flinched in pain.

Turning his back to me, he asked me to leave from there likewise.

I was trying to get up but couldn't as I was feeling severe pain in the ankle of my right leg. Maybe it got sprained.

When he again shouted at me, I somehow got up but I could hardly make myself able to walk.

Then Arhaan got near me and spoke up teasingly while holding me, “You are such a kid, Khushi. You know you should learn to walk properly at first.” only to get me all startled.

He took me to the bed and made me sit. Getting me all startled he knelt down on the floor and held my right leg. I was trying to get away only to get stopped at his one look.

He twisted my ankle and I put my hand on his shoulder, trying to grab it while holding the pain.

When he left my leg and put on the floor, I looked at him confusingly. He looked at his shoulder and then turned to me.

When I realised that my hand was still on his shoulder, I immediately moved it and uttered in lower tone, “I am sorry.”

Before Arhaan spoke up anything, Areesha Api got there and spoke up, ”Khushi, you okay now?”

Then I got the reason behind Arhaan's behaviour nonetheless I spoke up smilingly, “I am okay now, Api.” as I moved my leg to show her that it was really okay.

“Good then. But still don't get out of your room. Take rest.”

Though Api was talking smilingly at first but got ordering at last.

When I nodded, she left the room but not before uttering to Arhaan, “Take care of her.”

Arhaan and me both kept looking at the way as api went out of the room and then I got down from the bed and was about to go to the poolside but got stopped as Arhaan uttered, “Where do you think you are going?"

Before I could answer, he spoke up again, “Don't you think Api will be back here anytime? So stop your drama and keep lying on bed.”

Then he left the room after giving me a glaring look. I kept sitting on the bed for a while. I was really getting sleepy as I wasn’t able to get much of sleep last night because of the cold weather.

But thanks to Almighty that I didn’t get cold at least.

I didn’t get to know when I fell asleep leaning back on the bed but when I woke up after how long I didn’t know I was properly lying on bed and the comforter was on me.

I was thinking who did all this and kept searching Arhaan in the room but he wasn’t there. Then my eyes fell on the clock only to get me shocked as it was 1 by noon already.

Getting freshen up, I rushed downstairs only to find Api in the kitchen. Arhaan was talking to Uncle smilingly and Esha was jumping around happily.

Seeing me, Api spoke up, “Khushi, you are awake? Lunch is almost ready. You sit with them. I am setting the table.”

Before I could say something, Esha got near me and spoke up, “Aunty, come. Play with me”

Api shouted then, “Esha, I told you to get a shower. Go right now.”

Esha made a face innocently and I spoke up smilingly then, “I will take her to shower, Api.”

By the time I got back with Esha, the table was already set. Api was serving them food but nobody started eating like they were waiting for us.

Seeing us, Api spoke up, “You two also sit.”

Esha took a seat but I got near Api and uttered, “Api, you sit. I am serving the food.”

But Api didn't let me and uttered in a  ordering tone, “No. Khushi you sit. I will do it.”

When I gave her a confused look, she spoke up smilingly, “You sit dear. I love serving and I am almost done with serving. I will also sit after that.”

Nodding at her, I took a seat beside Arhaan hesitantly. He didn't even look at me for once and kept him busy with food.

Arhaan's P.O.V.

After lunch, Api took Esha to room and I again sat in the living room as I saw Khushi getting back to my room.

But Vai got near me and sitting beside me, he uttered, “Arhaan, any problem?”

I looked at him confusingly and he spoke up, “As Areesha didn’t notice anything, did you think I will be like that too?”

When I still kept silent, Vai continued, “Arhaan, yaar it’s me. You know you can’t fool me. Come on. Tell me what's bothering you.”

I kept thinking should I share this with him. I was about to speak up but got interrupted as my phone started ringing.

Seeing the caller ID, I answered the call immediately and got up being all excited as I uttered, “Really? Okay then. Aman, you book the ticket. The meeting will be tomorrow.”

Cutting the line, I turned to Vai and spoke up, “Vai, I got the deal. Tomorrow we will be able to sign the contract. I am so happy Vai.”

“Arhaan, I am also happy for you but back to the point what's bothering you, tell me.” Vai was still on the topic but now I was in too good mood to talk all that. So interrupting him in between, I spoke up, “We will talk about that later vai. Now I need to get ready to leave as the meeting is out of town and that’s also tomorrow early in the morning.”

Saying this, I left from there before vai could say anything again.

Getting back to my room, I found Khushi talking to someone on phone smilingly. But seeing me, the smile on her face faded away and she cut off the line after saying, “I will talk to you later.”

Then she got near me and spoke up, “I want to talk to you.”

I uttered glaring at her, “I don’t have the time to listen to your nonsense talk. So get lost.” and forwarded towards the closet to pack my bag but she dared to stand in front of me as she again spoke up, “I want to talk to you right now.”
