Arhaan’s P.O.V.

I woke up at dawn after having a worse dream. In my dream I saw her giving me a victorious smile as she was successful in executing her plan fully.

Remembering the dream, my face turned to annoying one. And right then my phone started ringing. When I found the caller was no other than Khushi, it only made my situation worse.

I cut off the line immediately but kept glaring at the phone screen. Then I saw there was a message from her. I read the message.

I am sorry Arhaan but I will not be able to stop this marriage now. You please do it in your way.

I kept thinking that I was made nothing but foolish by her. I couldn't believe how easily I got myself trapped in this.

But in no moment, I made up my mind what to do now and a smirk got along with this on my face.

Then I let it go however it was going. The only thing bothering me was Api. She was so much happy with this marriage.

Every time I got back from telling her all this whenever I decided to do so.

When Api asked me to go for shopping with them, I couldn’t get to say her anything. But going with her, I got to see how Khushi was behaving. She was like everything was happening all naturally.

The more time I was spending with her, the more I was getting angry. Taking hold of my anger, I got to do everything whatever Api was asking me.

As I already made up my mind not to hurt Api but only her who was responsible for all this.

Going on like that at last I reached the point of my engagement. I put the ring on her finger and when she was about to put the ring on my finger, I couldn't but smile as I never thought something like this would happen to me at least not in this way.

When I was thinking like that, Khushi looked at me confusingly. Seeing her, I tried to bring a heartily smile on my face. She also smiled a little then put the ring on my finger.

After that when I looked at Api, she was happy like no more which made me more angry on Khushi.

For her I was being forced to lie to Api. I had never lied to her except sometimes when truth would made her worried for nothing.

We went to get her blessings and she just hugged us happily but then asked to get blessings from Khushi’s father first.

The ceremony was long enough which went smoothly. The worst thing was for all the time Khushi was with me and at some point the aunty of that night came to us and we looked at each other

Looking at us, she spoke up, “Don't worry. I am not going to get mad at you. I understand why you two lied that day.”

Hearing her, I got confused as I didn't get what she meant.

I turned to Khushi who just kept her head down. Then turned to aunty as she spoke up smilingly, “You two just didn't want me to misunderstand you and your relation as you were already committed to each other then, right?”

I smiled hearing her and again turned to Khushi who was still with her head down and spoke up, “Yeah, you are right. Committed.”

Khushi then looked up at me blankly and aunty left from there after wishing us a happy life together.

Khushi was about to say something but Api got near us.

After the ceremony got finished, we forwarded towards our home and all the way Api kept telling how happy she was and Esha was happy just by thinking Khushi would be with her for all the time after two days.

She kept asking the question to everyone of us, From when aunty will be with me for all the time?

And like seriously Api was answering all the times happily.

Khushi’s P.O.V.

The next day of engagement I slept for sometime after saying my prayer and when I woke up after that it was already 8 by morning. Getting freshen up, I got downstairs and found Kaki in the kitchen.

When I heard Vai uttering loudly from his room, “Kaki, coffee.”

Kaki made the coffee immediately and was about to leave the kitchen but I stopped her and taking the cup, I forwarded towards the room of Vai though Kaki forbid me.

Vai was working on his laptop and didn't understand at first when he took the cup without turning that it was not Kaki but me as he uttered, “Thank you, kaki.”

When I didn't leave immediately after that, he spoke up, “You wanna say something?” and turned to me.

Seeing me, he got silent and I uttered, “Vai?”

He just kept looking at me and when I uttered again, “Vai, I am sorry.”

He turned to his laptop and spoke up, “Khushi, leave from here.”

I tried to utter again, “Vai, listen to me for once.” only to get him agitated more as he shouted, “I said Leave.”

With teary eyes, I left from there and got back to my room. After almost 2 hours when I still didn't get downstairs, Kaki came to my room with my breakfast.

I was still sitting with teary eyes holding the photograph of Ammi. Kaki got near me and put the trolley beside and while caressing my hair, she spoke up, “It wasn't your fault, Khushi. And you know what you don't need to justify yourself to anyone.”

Wiping my eyes, she made me take my breakfast and when I was eating it, she spoke up again, “Arhaan and his family seems nice. You will have a happy and peaceful life unlike here.”

When I uttered in lower tone, “I am not sure.”

She said confidently, “Who knows, Khushi! But remember nothing happens just for happening. Almighty wouldn't allow it unless he had a purpose. So don't lose hope and keep faith on HIM.”

Saying that, Kaki left my room and I kept thinking about my life.

I wasn't sure if I would miss my father and brother but I would miss kaki who was like my mother for sure.

The days ahead went silently for me as I just kept myself within my room where I spent almost all the time of my life except college days.

Thinking of college days, one name came to my mind. Preety...

I called her but she didn't answer it though I kept calling her for several times. I knew she was angry on me as I decided to stay back after all that.

Finally the day of my marriage came and I was gotten ready by the same girl, Jiya.

At wedding when the Quazi Saheb (Who holds the marriage ritual in Islam) asked me if I agreed to accept Arhaan Mahmud as my Husband, I didn't answer at first and when on his second time of asking me, I accepted as I uttered, “Qabul Hai” for three times, my voice was trembling.

The wedding ceremony ended and before entering to the car, I got near Abbu and he hugged me. I got shocked as it was for the first time as I remembered and tears came to my eyes and leaving him when I got near vai, he was sad for some reason and I was sure it wasn't me.

Then he took me to the car. I got on the car and Esha was on my lap who kept talking all the way and Arhaan was all silent.

They welcomed me grandly in their house and after sometime I was taken to Arhaan's room. Api made me sit on the middle of the bed smilingly and left from there.

Then I looked around the room which was beautifully decorated with candles, flowers and some other things.

Arhaan entered the room after sometime and I immediately got down from the bed. I was hesitating to look at him at first but finally when I did, I got frozen there as he uttered something.....
