" No, Aleena. I am not returning home ever. Abbu won't like me there. I wish you all the best on your new journey. Congratulations," Aurin said to her younger sister Aleena and then cut the call.

It was Aleena's engagement and she wanted Aurin to be with her. But, Aurin doesn't want to go the home because her parents won't like her presence. After Mikaeel's leaving for Canada, her relationship with her parents became worse than before so she decided to not return there ever. She was just living her life alone and trying to collect her shattered self.

It's not like she hasn't thought about Mikaeel. Simon's confession kept buzzing inside her head like a bug. Then, Mikaeel's continuous lying about everything. She was in a dilemma. She doesn't know what to believe anymore. She knew that Mikaeel has gone to Canada. He has gone there because he was suffocating here but Aurin misunderstood him. She thought that he went to Canada to escape from the divorce. She was thinking that he never loved her. He never wanted her happiness. If he loved her truly then he would have divorced her right away thinking about her happiness.

Aurin just returned from the office and she was walking to her apartment. It was an exhausting day for her and that's why she just wants to lay on her bed as soon as possible. Getting close to the apartment she noticed that the door of her apartment was open. A frown appeared on her face and she got suspicious. She thought it was the housekeeper but she was wrong.

Entering the apartment Aurin's whole face got clouded with raw anger. Seeing the person sitting on the couch her blood started boiling. Her eyes blazed like fire and she gritted her teeth in anger.

" What the hell are you doing in my home?" Aurin's furious voice echoed through the whole living room.

Letting out a chuckle, Maryam replied," Just wanted to ask about your well-being."

" You wanted to see me broken and completely vulnerable but to your utter disappointment, I am very much fine," Aurin taunted but Maryam only chuckled at her sarcastic remark.

Aurin asked fuming in rage," You haven't come here without any reason. I know that. Why are you here?"

" Just wanted to tell you some truth," Maryam replied having a serious expression.

Letting out a mocking smile Aurin asked," Like how many times you have slept with Mikaeel! How many times you................"

" Miki loves you so much and that's what you think about him. You think so low about him! Unbelievable," Maryam said that boiled Aurin's blood instantly.

Aurin's screamed at the top of her lungs," You bitch!! Pathetic slut! After ruining my happiness, and destroying my marriage you are here to remind me how much Mikaeel loved me. Huh!! What's your intention now?"

"I intend to tell you that Mikaeel never cheated on you. I got pregnant with his child artificially. I wanted a baby of mine," Maryam confessed and out of anger, Aurin raised her hand to slap Maryam.

Maryam didn't stop Aurin nor did she reacts. She kept looking at Aurin with expressionless eyes. She diverted her eyes to Aurin's hand that was fisted in the air. Gritting her teeth Aurin was shaking with anger and her nostrils were flaring like a raging bull.

" There are hundreds of men out there. Why didn't you just pick any one of them? Why did you choose my husband?" Aurin shouted at Maryam.

Maryam shot back," Because he was the only man who treated me as a human, not a commodity. I wanted my child to be like him. I didn't have any choice but commit the crime."

Aurin clenched her jaw when Maryam started explaining," All the men in my life just used me. For my father & brother, I was just a Swiss bank and my husband!!!"

Maryam let out some painful chuckles and continued," You must be wondering why I was so eager for a baby. My children were snatched from me without even my knowledge. He kept murdering them in my womb showing me so much love. With too much love he fed me............"

" You don't know what's called betrayal because Mikaeel never betrayed you. Betrayal is when you trust the person blindly and that same person kills your babies in your womb without even your knowledge," Maryam told these sentences lowering her voice.

Aurin was silently hearing Maryam. Controlling her anger she decided to listen to Maryam. She also wants to know why Maryam did all these.

" I was delusional that Miki still loves me. My foolish heart wasn't ready to accept that Mikaeel doesn't love me anymore. Truth be told I was jealous of you. I was jealous of Mikaeel's love for you. Like all the villains in movies, my initial thought was to bind Mikaeel with my child. Because I was desperate for someone's trusted shoulder," Maryam paused for a few moments.

Taking a breath, she resumed saying," That night I spent the whole time looking at Mikaeel's face. The more I was seeing him the more I wasn't feeling like letting him go away from me. After thinking for a long time I realised one thing, love can't be forced, love can't be asked or demanded. It has to come naturally and his natural love was only for you. I understood that even if I force him to stay with me, I won't be happy nor he will be. So, I decided to let him go. I lied to him that we had a physical relationship. I wanted him to hate me so that my foolish heart doesn't cry for him again."

" You are really sick!! You are sounding like a completely insane person," Aurin let out in disbelief after hearing Maryam.

Ignoring Aurin's words Maryam continued saying," I thought to move on with my child and promised Mikaeel that I won't interfere in his life. But, then you came into my life and the further things you know very well. Your continuous interference in my life just made me lose my sanity and out of anger, I did what I thought to never do. I lied to you about Mikaeel. Except for a friendly relationship we had nothing between us. Specifically, Mikaeel had no feelings for me."

Aurin was still hearing her silently when she said," Mikaeel might be the biological father of my child but I will never ask for my baby's rights from him. Moreover, he has no feelings for the baby as well. My baby will never be a disturbance in his life. If you still don't believe that Mikaeel didn't have an affair with me then I can show you some papers where it was clearly written that I conceived artificially."

Maryam finished telling her perspective when Aurin let out a taunting chuckle because she doesn't believe Maryam.

Getting close to Maryam she said in an insulting manner," You know what you tried a lot to have my sympathy but trust me I have zero sympathies for a woman like you. Narrating a painful false story you wanted to make right what is wrong. You can fool other people with your false pathetic life story but not me. I am not blind."

Hearing Aurin, Maryam burst into laughter like Aurin had joked with her. Aurin fisted her palms seeing Maryam laughing.

" My family, my own mother who gave birth to me never felt sympathy for me and you think I will expect sympathies from a stranger like you. I have stopped expecting a long ago," Maryam said taking a deep breath.

Aurin rolled her eyes and then said getting close to Maryam," You know what if I want I can throw you behind the bar right now for whatever you did. You wronged Mikaeel by exploiting his privacy. Ok, I believed that you never had a physical relationship with him but you took his sperm sample without his permission. And, that's a crime. You should be punished by law."

" If I had the fear of getting punished by law then I wouldn't have come here to meet you. I can't see Mikaeel suffering that's why I am here to tell you the truth," Maryam answered having a blank expression.

Aurin said further," I won't throw you behind the bar because you have a baby to take care of. A baby young like your daughter needs her mother's embrace. A mother's embrace is the safest place for any child. Just thinking about that innocent soul I am not going to the police but trust me Almighty won't forgive you for whatever you did. Today or tomorrow you will get the share of your punishment."

" Punishments!! Yeah, everyone always finds me to punish," Maryam mumbled in an inaudible voice.

Then, she told to Aurin," Mikaeel loves you truly. More than he loved me. He was heartbroken once, don't break his heart again."

Saying all these Maryam left Aurin's apartment and she sat on the nearby couch. Aurin is in a complete daze after hearing Maryam. Does she believe now that Mikaeel didn't cheat on her?

Mikaeel's pov

Three weeks passed and guess what Aurin didn't contact me. That means she doesn't believe that I didn't cheat on her. So, I decided to do what I thought earlier. Signing the divorce papers.

Two days ago I returned to Pakistan and after coming here the first thing I did was hire a lawyer. I have prepared a proper divorce paper because in the papers Aurin sent me, there wasn't anything mentioned about the property. I know that she doesn't need my property but it's my responsibility and I will complete it properly. Tomorrow we are called by the authority to sign the papers.

Finally, she will have peace. Good for her. I don't have any patience left inside me to prove my innocence. She is a stubborn woman and once she decides to have something, she will get it anyhow. Let's just hope for her beautiful future.

I will remember her always. She has taught me a lot of things. She has changed my perspective on women and I am glad about it. I was always busy changing Maryam but Aurin was so different that she changed a person like me. I never wanted to change myself but unknowingly I was changed by her influence. Yes, I admit that she is an amazing person.

I thought to keep her with me at any cost and that's why I tried to impregnate her. Even if she had my child I would have let her go. Because love can't be forced, love can't be demanded or asked. It has to be earned. I don't know after this divorce what I am going to do.

I was sitting in my easy chair and thinking about Aurin when I heard my mother saying," I am glad that finally, you decided to divorce that girl."

I didn't answer because I am not in the mood to talk to anyone. I just want to keep quiet and need peace.

" If you say should we start seeing girls," She asked sitting right in front of me.

I asked confusingly," Girls? For what?"

" Don't say you are going to spend the rest of your life alone. I am thinking of your marriage," She answered and I was speechless after hearing him.

I replied nodding my head in disbelief," You are impossible, Ammi. Do you think it's easy for me to move on?"

" You are a man, Mikaeel. Don't behave like typical girls who spend the rest of their life with their husband's memory. You are a man. Be like a man," She said pressing my shoulder.

This time I couldn't control my anger anymore and yelled at her," Now, I understood from where I got such a low mentality! Just because I am a man, you think it doesn't hurt me emotionally. Just because I am a man you think it's easy for me to move on!! Do you think my relationship with Aurin was just a joke? Ammi, it took 10 years for me to move on from my girlfriend's memory and you think I will be able to erase Aurin from my memory so easily. She was my wife. A significant part of my life. She was my better half."

" Whatever I am saying, I am saying for your own good. I am your mother. It's my responsibility to think about your better future," She said sounding worried.

I replied holding her hands," Ammi, it's the last time you are saying to me something like that. If you bring this matter again then that day will be the last day of mine in this house. Keep it in mind."
