Chapter 32: Chapter 32

"Hey Cami!" Matt said when I was preparing my things. Rehearsal was done and it's time to go home. It's seven in the evening already and we were done having dinner courtesy of the organizers.

"Yes?" I said.

"Let's catch up some more. Why don't you, Erin and I get some coffee or whatever?" He said.

"Today?" I said.

"Yeah," He said. "That is, if you have no other plans."

"I don't," I said. "If that's okay with Erin then it's fine with me."

"Alright, I'll ask her." He said. I nodded and drank on my water bottle. I already changed clothes and freshened up.

He left and went over to Erin. I don't mind uf we go out today. Besides, I have nothing to do at home and it's still early. I'm sure Wade isn't home yet. Plus, it would be a good idea to go out with friends some time. Matt came back and said that Erin agreed. I nodded and agreed to. I went over to Logan and told him about it. He said he'll call Wade and asked him but I stopped him and called Wade myself instead. His phone rang and I waited for him to answer. It took three rings before he picked up.

"Babe, I was just about to call you." He said on the other line.

"Oh yeah? And here I am thinking you've forgot about me already." I said teasing him.

"Of course not, how could I forget the love of my life?" He said teasing me back. "Kidding aside, I was just really caught up in tons of paper works. I'm sorry."

"It's fine, you don't have to apologize for working so hard." I said.

"Thanks for understanding babe," He sighed. "Anyway, how was the rehearsal?"

"It was great! Erin was there as well and Matt, one of our old co-model from our old agency." I said. "It was fun, honestly "

"I'm glad to hear that," He said. "Are you done there?"

"We are. We've packed up already." I said.

"So are you going home now?" He said.

"That's the thing babe," I said as I gathered courage to tell him. "Erin, Matt and I are planning to catch up over some coffee. Can I go?"

He sighed. "Who is this Matt guy? Is he trustworthy?"

"He is, babe. Can I? Logan's with me anyway. I'll be safe. I promise, it'll be quick and the next thing you know, I'm home already." I said trying to convince him.

"Of course," He said. "Enjoy and please be safe. I'll call you later so please answer it if you want me to stay calm."

I laughed a little and said, "Yes babe, I will. Thank you. I love you."

"I love you too, babe," He said.

"Bye," I said and ended the call.

Logan was standing beside me and I put my phone on loudspeaker so he heard everything that Wade said. He nodded. I took my bag and went over to Erin and Matt.

"Did your husband allowed you?" Erin asked teasingly.

"Of course, he did. Why wouldn't he?" I said smiling evilly at her.

"Nothing, I just thought he didn't since he's too possessive of you." She said.

"I'm glad he let you go out. It's good for couples to spend time off of each other sometimes." Matt said.

"Why? Do you and Meli do that?" Erin said. "I thought you two were like spoon and fork, always together."

"Yeah, we do some times. It makes you think of things clearly especially if there's something that you don't agree with." He said.

"I don't think we need that now. Wade and I are perfectly fine." I said.

"Alright then," Erin said. "Where are we going?"

"He told me that we were going to get coffee." I said.

"Coffee?" Erin said. "That is so 2000's, let's go get a drink."

"You know that I have a bodyguard, right?" I said. "Plus, I told my husband that we're going out for coffee."

"He can't di anything if we're there already." Erin said softly.

"Matt, what do you say?" I said.

"Well, I'll agree to wherever you guys want." He said.

"Come on, Cam, this is our way to celebrate. I'm sure Wade wouldn't mind." Erin said.

"Are you telling me to ditch my bodyguard?" I said.

"No, no," Erin said. "What I'm saying is you let him drive you to wherever you go and tell him that Wade is coming over. That way, he won't suspect you."

"I have a bad feeling about this." I sighed and breath heavily. "Alright, I'll meet you there."

"That's my girl!" She said and clapped her hands. They made their way to the exit and left for the club.

Meanwhile, I went over to Logan and told him that we changed our minds and we are going for a drink. He disagreed but I told him that Wade is coming over so he doesn't have to worry anymore. He believed me. I know I might break his trust but I have said my word to Erin already. He led me to the car and opened the door for me. I told him where we agreed to meet and he drive there. I just hoped Wade won't know about this because if he does, I'm sure he'll be mad that I lied again to Logan.

Logan slowed down at the bar I told him and parked the car. He went out and opened the door for me. I saw Erin and Matt outside the club and waiting for me. I walked towards them with Logan behind me. Erin gave me a high five and I know what that meant. We entered the bar and the loud music greeted us. There were only few people probably because it was too early. It's just quarter to eight so I assumed party people were still on their way. We looked for a table and settled. Logan was just standing not far from us. I invited him to join us but he declined. I didn't force him since it his job and he values it too much.

Erin called for the waiter and ordered drinks for everyone. We drank and talked and then laughed. We talked about how our lives have been since we last saw each other. We drink for good friendship and good life. Erin ordered drinks again and said that it's fine if we'll get drunk since I have a bodyguard. We took another shot and I felt my vision started to get blurry. It felt fine after a few seconds and I know I wasn't drunk yet. Erin and Matt decided to hit the dance floor but I stayed behind. I didn't feel like dancing while my vision are wavy. I stayed there and watched them dance with the people around. J never noticed how the bar was full of people now. I must have been preoccupied in talking to my friends. The dizziness was triggered more by looking at the dance floor. I turned over to look for Logan and I found him on the corner. He looked like he was texting someone. I drank a glass of water which I ordered from the waiter and settled on my seat. I saw Matt and Marga laughing and dancing with each other and they looked like they were having so much fun.

"Hi Miss," I hear a man said. He sat across me where Erin was seated earlier. I didn't want to be rude so I smiled at him but I never said a word.

"Are you alone?" He said and looked around. I shook my head. "I don't see anyone." He said as he transferred to the seat next to mine.

"I'm sorry but I'm not interested." I said.

I was about to get up when he held my hand and pulled me to sit back on my chair.

"I'm not yet done talking with you." He said. He was bulky and I couldn't take my hand off him. I struggled but didn't succeeded. He ran his other hand on my face and I panicked.

"Let go of me!" I yelled. I was starting to get scared.

The next thing I knew was that the man was punch on the face and he fell to the floor. I was shocked and looked over to see Wade looking furious. He walked towards the man and punched him one more time. I was afraid that he was mad at me and he'll punished me too. I cried as I looked at him. He turned to me. I covered my face with my hands and cried. He came to me and hugged me so tight. I hugged him back and cried in his arms.

"I'm sorry, I'm sorry," I kept on saying as I hugged him.

"Ssshh, are you hurt? Did he touched you somewhere else? God, I am going to kill him for making you scared." He said as he looked at me from head to toe as if inspecting me. I shook my head and hugged him. He hugged me and let me rest on his chest.
