Hailey made me remember why I married Wade and how things happened so fast.

Flashback...

"Do you think my Dad and his men can't follow us in here?" I said when we reached his condo.

"No, my men and I made sure of that. By the way, why were you running away from your Dad?" He asked the question that he has always wanted to ask.

"Dad set me up to meet with Mr. Yakumo earlier and it was the most dreadful thing ever. They planned to move our wedding sooner." I explained like I was summoned by a principal.

"So, what's your plan? I'm sure you didn't call me just to tell me your problems." He said. I saw how his eyes roamed around my body and it felt like he was looking for something.

"What's the matter?" I said. He looked creepy.

"Are you hurt? What did he do to you?" He said as he inspects my arms.

"I'm fine; he didn't hurt me or anything," I said. "The reason why I am here is that I need your help."

"And what can I help you with?" He said. I have a feeling that he already knew and he was just playing blind so I would say it out loud.

"I am accepting your offer. I will marry you and I want it done as soon as possible." I said.

"I thought you weren't up for that?" He said and I swear I saw him smirked.

"Well, I am left with no choice so might as well marry you than that old man." I said.

"I have conditions for that marriage and one of them is that you will be my assistant." He said.

"What?! Can't you give me a higher position than that? I am a college graduate and for your information, I graduated with flying colors.

"I am well aware of your achievements but I just wanted to keep you close to me so that we could ensure your safety. You'll start working when my assistant resigns. She and her family are migrating.

"Alright, what else?" I said. What does he want from me? "Anyway, why are you offering me to marry you? It is just strange knowing that we don't know each other."

"Let's just say that I am tired of women nagging me and marriage is the best way to stop them." He said cockily. That is his reason? Well, I don't care about that. All I need to know is that he can save me from my troubles.

"Don't worry, it will all be stated in the contract." He said. "I asked my attorney to make a contract regarding the conditions in our marriage. If there's something you want, you can tell me and I'll ask him to include it."

"I have no condition except for this one thing," I said.

"Alright, let's hear it." He said as he crossed his arms.

"We will annul once all of this is over," I said fiercely. If I enter this, I need to make sure that there's a way out.

"Consider it done, I'll ask him to send you a copy of the contract." He said. "Oh right, don't worry I know that you don't have your things with you so he cannot just email it to you. I'll ask him to print it out for you and send it here."

"Okay, thanks," I said.

"So that's it, let's discuss more of the wedding tomorrow. It's getting late and it seemed like you could use some rest." He said. "If you need anything, just knock on the other room. I'll be staying there."

So, his condo has two rooms. Thank God, it has. I wouldn't want to share a bed with him.

"Thanks," I said. He just nodded and then went to the door.

"Good night, Camierre." He said.
