Jessica was working on her laptop when Angie walked in with her face concentrated on her phone.

"Jessy, you need to see this!" Angie said, walking toward Jessica.

" What is that? Am not ready for your celebrity gist this morning," Jessica replied with her eyes fixed on her laptop screen.

" And if the celebrity is your ex-boyfriend and your friend? You still don't mind?" Angie said, dragging a chair and she sat across Jessica.

"Edwin and Gary!" Jessica exclaimed, looking at Angie.

" You can say that," Angie replied, giving her phone to Jessica.

Jessica collected the phone and started scrolling through the screen reading the headline.

" Edwin Turner fighting Gary Anderson over a woman!" Jessica read aloud, swallowing hard.

She continued reading the whole article and even checked through other blogs, pictures of Edwin and Gary were flowing on the screen.

Without a second thought, Jessica picked up her phone and dialed Gary's number and he picked up almost immediately.

"Why on earth will you provoke Edwin!" Jessica fumed, pressing her lip together.

" What do you mean I provoked him?" Gary replied over the phone with a questioning tone.

"We both know Edwin always avoids you at all costs. Remember I have witnessed that before." Jessica said, with her palm on her forehead.

" I didn't provoke him, I am only telling him who he is. Jessica, he did not treat you right, he was right there flirting with a girl and_"

" Do I ask you to fight my battle? I knew you approached him first, please let not _" Jessica shouted but Angie already snatched her phone and quickly hung up the call before Jessica could complete her next statement.

" Jessica, we both know Gary did not deserve what you just said to him. Why are you supporting Edwin? Is he worth that?" Angie scolded her with a wide stance.

" Am not supporting him but I know what Gary is capable of," Jessica replied, shaking her hand.

" Same Gary that is always after your happiness? Am sure he fought with him because of you. Why will you talk to him like that?" Angie questioned, staring at Jessica.

" Do you still love Edwin?"

"Why will I lo-ve- love in," Jessica stammered, looking away from Angie.

" But your emotion says something else, Jessica. Even if you still have feelings for him, you shouldn't make Gary feel worthless,"

" I don't love him, I don't. Okay!" Jessica shouted, with tears running down her face.

She stood up and walked away from Angie and he needed to her room, Angie ran toward her.

Immediately she entered, she closed the door, not allowing Angie to enter the room.

Angie stood there knocking on the door continuously, but Jessica decided not to open the door.

She lay on the bed crying her heart out m, Angie heard her sobbing and she blamed herself for showing Jessica the news.

" Jessica, please open the door, I am sorry if I'm being too harsh on you. Just open the door." Angie said and continued, "remember the doctor said you can't stress yourself. Just please open the door, I promise I will always support your decision okay!"

"Do you want me to go to my apartment? Then I will come back when you are calm. " Angie said, knowing Jessica won't like the idea.

Jessica stood up from the bed and opened the door immediately, covering her eyes with her palm.

Angie walked in and hugged her tightly, and Jessica returned the hug.

"Am sorry babe," Angie said.

"No, you did not do something bad, I should be the one apologizing," Jessica said, sobbing.

The two walked toward the bed and Jessica lay down, putting her head on Angie's lap.

" Do you think I said too much to Gary? Am I being too emotional?" Jessica asked and Angie nodded her head yes.

" Will he forgive me?"

" Don't worry, he will. I will talk to him," Angie replied, running her hand through Jessica's hair.

After a few minutes, Jessica and Angie walked to the kitchen and started cooking.

After eating, Jessica called Gary but Gary did not pick up her call.

She called again and again, and all went in vain. Angie came out of the kitchen and walked toward Jessica, she noticed she looked worried and she decided to call Gary from her phone, which he picked up immediately.

Angie talked to Gary about how bad Jessica was feeling about the way she talked to him and Gary promised to call her later.

Gary called after a few minutes and they settled the misunderstanding and the three friends laughed again.

EDWIN'S APARTMENT

Edwin and Roy Sat in his living room watching football on TV. Roy's eyes were fixed on the TV, paying attention to the match.

Edwin on the other hand leaned back. He picked up his phone and read through the online blogs, seeing his pictures with Gary online made him furious.

Edwin never thought a day like that would come. He had never fought over women, it was always the other way around. He looked at the pictures one last time and he was about to flip the phone away when Roy snatched it from him.

" You need to stop the habit of smashing your phone when you are angry," Roy said, staring at Edwin as he dropped the phone on the couch.

"Do you hear what Gary said? He accused me of leaving Jessica because her parents are not rich!" Edwin fumed, rubbing his palm together.

" I told you to meet up with Gary when it happened. Don't you think Gary knows where Jessica is?" Roy said with narrow eyes.

" I don't fucking care where she was. Fuck her!" Edwin yelled and said, " I will make sure she regrets this! I know will gonna see again,"

"What if you both are misunderstanding something?" Roy said in a calm voice.

"Then she should have faced me before running away. Why on earth will I know what happens when I am not a wizard? Or do you think my family finds out about us? I don't trust my mum."

" Then you should try to look into that. But if Mrs. Turner knew about Jessica, I am sure she wouldn't be as calm as she is. We both know your mum!" Roy explained, holding the TV remote.

Edwin calmed down after some time but he could not stop thinking of what happened at the party. He knew her parents would be disappointed when they saw the news and the Reid family, what would they think of him?

"Irresponsible I guess," he thought to himself.

Edwin continued in his pool of thoughts and he remembered what Roy said.

" Misunderstanding?"

Can that be true? Why is Gary at Jessica's house that night?

"Should I meet up with Gary? Maybe I can clear my doubts." Edwin thought to himself, running his hand through his hair with her brow furrowed.
