Jessica woke up the following morning and started packing her clothes. Gary joined her and they both did the packing together.

Gary called his assistant to inform his pilot that he would need him to fly to Texas that morning.

After all the packing, they both packed the boxes in Gary's car and they drove to the airport.

The pilot is already waiting for their arrival and they flew to Texas.

After three hours, the plane touched down and they both walked out of the plane.

Jessica called her mum to send her the location of their apartment and they got a taxi to drive them to the address.

Jessica was lost in thought, as she rested her hand on her chin, Gary saw her reaction, he held her hand in his hand and massaged it gently.

" You know you don't have to think much, it's not good for your present condition," Gary said, looking into her eyes.

"Hmmm, I don't know how to break the news to them, Gary, my mum will be disappointed in me," Jessica said as she took a deep breath.

" Just let's get there first, that's one of the reasons I decided to follow you here, we get this," Gary assured her with a smile on his face.

Deep down, Gary wished Jessica could see how he felt about her, it was love at first sight for him when he met her in New York a few months ago.

He wished he had taken a bold step back then to ask her out, who knows maybe she won't be in this kind of situation today.

He blamed himself for not asking her out when he had several opportunities to maybe she wouldn't have been Edwin's prey.

But the deed has been done, the next thing is to make sure he wins her heart back by all means.

After twenty minutes of driving, the driver arrived at Jessica's parent's apartment and they both got out of the car.

They carried out all the boxes, Jessica's mum was already outside waiting for her and she wondered why Jessica would come with a lot of boxes.

She joined them in packing and the three walked inside.

Seeing her dad, Jessica ran to his embrace and sobbed into his shirt.

" Princess, what happened? Why are you crying? Is anything the matter?" Mr. Graves asked with a furrowed brow.

" Dad! mum! have disappointed you, please forgive me," Jessica continued to sob more.

Mrs. Graves walked to Gary to know what happened to her daughter and why she said such a statement.

" Please tell me, what happened to my child," Mrs. Graves said, blinking her tears away.

Gary guided her to the couch to let her sit and he walked to Mr. Graves.

He explained everything that happened between Jessica and Edwin, in the same way, Jessica has explained to her.

Starting from how he saved her from James and Misha to how she found out he made a bet on her.

Hearing Gary's explanation, Mr. Graves draws Jessica to his embrace.

" Princess, I am sorry I let you go through this alone. I should have looked for a way to make my family happy again instead of letting them take all the responsibilities," and he continued," I will make everything right, I will allow you to take your own decision and I and your mother is ready to support you,"

Jessica's mum stood up and walked to the father and child and she hugged the two, " Am sorry my child, please forgive us,"

Jessica continued sobbing hard, her father raised her and she sat on the couch.

Gary wondered what the father meant by ' making the family happy again', he wondered what might have happened to them in the past and he could sense Mr. Graves' face was a little bit familiar but he can't remember where he knew him yet.

Jessica's mum went to the kitchen to prepare food for the two. After a few minutes, she set the table and the four had lunch together. Jessica was the first to finish her food and she asked for more.

Mr. Graves was happy to see her princess again, Jessica's mum arranged her room while Jesica and Gary talked.

" Gary, I don't know how to thank you enough, and I wished I had known a friend like you for a long time," Jessica said, maintaining eye contact with Gary.

" You don't have to thank me, we are friends," Gary responded with a smile.

Jessica opened her bag and brought out her car key and she hand It over to Gary.

" Gary, can you help me drop the car at Turner's company? And please don't let anyone know Edwin knows anything about my current situation," Jessica said in a calm tone, rubbing her hand together.

" I will drop the car off tomorrow, I should start going so I have to prepare for tomorrow, I will always be in touch with you," Gary said, he stood up from the couch and said his goodbye to the family and the two walked outside.

Gary entered a taxi and the driver drove him to the airport.

Gary remembered Jessica's statement about not telling Edwin what happened to her, Gary smiled to himself because that was what he wanted personally, to have her to himself alone.

Gary was happy the two relationships had increased and he looked forward to asking her out soon, not minding even when she was carrying Edwin's child.

Gary got to California, he called his assistant to meet up at his apartment. Immediately after the assistant arrived, Gary gave him the car key and explained to him what to do with it.
