Getting to the suite, Jessica was about to enter her room when Edwin decided to start a conversation with her. He wanted to know more about her, especially what she did back there.

"Did you learn all that in school? I mean, how were you able to do that so fast?" Edwin asked, looking at Jessica who was about to open the door.

" Hmmm, I learned a little from a friend," Jessica replied smiling. She couldn't possibly tell him she was a renowned computer genius in school, right?

" Oh! I bet that your friend was a genius

. Did you see the look on Gary's face? I Am sure he didn't expect that either, ahh ahh," Edwin said, laughing.

" Yeah, he was a bit surprised," She said, as she smiled with her eyes. She was also surprised about Gary's behavior. Why would he do such a thing?

"Did you say a bit? That's a whole lot of surprise, sweetheart. He didn't expect that he would be floored by me in this field. I can't believe he had to stoop so low, so cheap!," Edwin ranted, a grin plastered on his face.

"Hmm, I am surprised too. Anyways, today is a joyous day and a big congratulations on the project sir," Jessica said, giggling.

" Thank you for helping me back there. I was able to secure it because of you. I was sure I would have lost this project alongside a chunk of respect too. These project Managers believe in being sincere," Edwin explained.

" I don't understand, sir," Jessica said, frowning.

" I mean that they believe that before coming for a project like this you should be able to clear every issue with your presentation. But being in a situation like that and I am unable to solve it, will make it seem like I wasn't being sincere. Believe me, they are a weird bunch of people!" Edwin sighed.

" Does that mean you would have not just lost the project but you would have been humiliated too?" Jessica asked

" Yes. Fortunately, you were there to help me out. Thank you, Jessica," Edwin said, sincerely.

"It's nothing, sir. I am happy to help," Jessica said. Then she added, batting her lashes," Sir, are we going back today? So I can pack my bag."

"No, we will be going back tomorrow morning," Edwin responded.

"Okay, sir" Jessica nodded, smiling faintly. There was silence between them for sometime before Edwin spoke up.

" Do you mind going out for lunch? Since this is your first time here in New York," Edwin suggested. That would also give him some time to be with her.

" Alright sir, thank you," Jessica said as she walked to her room.

It's been a long time since she came to New York and there might be some new exciting places over the years. She would just use this privilege to know those places and when she has been able to save up enough money, she would bring her family over for a vacation.

Immediately she entered her room, she removed her shoe and jumped on the bed, smiling to herself.

" I missed hacking," Jessica murmured.

Hacking into cyber security was what Jessica enjoyed so much when she was in university. She would tap on her laptop nonstop until her mother would collect it from her. She was usually saved by her father though.

And she always enjoyed betting with her friends when they hacked their way into different websites. But none of them talked to her anymore except Angie. Since she was no longer the spoiled daughter of the number one billionaire in the state, they all left her. Immediately after her family's bankruptcy, all of them never picked her call or replied to her messages.

That's why she also refused to have contact with Angie for a while. But she proved to be different from them all.

Dwelling on her thought, Jessica remembered she hadn't called her parents that day. She quickly picked up her phone and called her dad to know how everyone was doing.

After a few minutes of their conversation, Jessica decided to check her email. She saw a new email and clicked on it and was surprised.

" Angie never told me I was shortlisted," Jessica said with a twisted mouth.

" Should I give it a try? Who knows maybe it would be a good opportunity," Jessica added, sighing.

She truly missed the thrill that comes from being a hacker. They were a registered company that recruits hackers and the pay was usually splitted into half. A good pay for a job you enjoy. It would be good for her.

Opening the message, she saw an attachment that required to be submitted within a month as the first phase of securing the job. Jessica stared at the message and decided to check it later since there was still enough time for the assessment.

She closed her laptop while she lay down to sleep.

Edwin was sitting on the bed with his laptop beside him, he couldn't stop thinking about Jessica. He has been feeling this way after seeing how hot she looked last night at the party.

" Why am I feeling this way? I just can't get her out of my head," Edwin thought to himself.

" This wasn't how I planned it. I just need to make her fall in love with me and then let her go after three months. I need to win her over," Edwin thought to himself.

Edwin remembered their lunch and decided to go check out one of the biggest restaurants, at least to compliment her for helping him today.

After browsing for ten minutes, he finally booked lunch in a restaurant not far from their current location. It wouldn't be too stressful for her either.

He decided to rest a little before the time for lunch. Edwin's phone beeped and displayed a message from his best friend, Roy. He quickly slides the phone to reply to the message.

" Hi Roy, what's up," - Edwin

" How was the project, you got it right?" - Roy

" Yes I did, but with the help of Jessica, my secretary," - Edwin.

" What happened? - Roy

" Gary Anderson pulled some tricks, and hacked my laptop," - Edwin.

" Did you annoy him before the presentation" - Roy.

" He was all over my secretary and I don't like that. I told him to fuck off," - Edwin.

" Why? Are you jealous? " - Roy

" Why should I? I don't just want him near my property," - Edwin.

" Jessica is your employee, not your property and besides, she's an adult. Don't be a killjoy, let the poor girl enjoy herself," - Roy.

" There you go again," - Edwin.

" We talk more when am back, I have plans with her," - Edwin

" Don't hurt her, Edwin. Bye," - Roy

"Like the fuck I would!" - Edwin

After their conversion, Edwin thought about what Jessica might wear since she only came with an official dress. He decided to call the company that brought her dress for the party to bring a simple outing dress for her.

After placing the order, Edwin decided to rest a little more before they went out.

Jessica was woken up when she heard the intercom in her room ringing. She quickly stood up to pick up the call.

She was surprised when she was informed of having a package to be delivered to her. After a few minutes, there was a knock on her door, she walked to the door and received the bag.

Eager to open it, Jessica took the bag to the bed and opened it.

"Other clothes again!" Jessica exclaimed.

Bringing out the gown, Jessica's hand gripped the cloth as she spread it out to see it in full.

" This is so good," she beamed.

Jessica's phone rang and she picked it up to see her boss calling her.

" Hello, sir, " Jessica greeted.

" Do you like it? " Edwin asked, his voice a little sleepy. It looked like he just woke up from sleep too.

" Sir, you shouldn't have bought me another cloth_"

" So you want to go in your office dress," Edwin said.

" But I can still dress in_"

" We will be going in the next thirty minutes, get yourself ready" Edwin cut her off again.

" Okay sir," Jessica responded.

After dropping the call, Jessica walked to the bathroom to have her bath and she murmured to herself.

" Why did he like cutting me off? That's rude," she murmured.

After twenty minutes, Jessica was done with her dressing. She walked to the living room to wait for his boss.
