Chapter 109: Chapter 109

Jessica woke up feeling very light hearted by the following morning. The heavy weight and burdens she carried because of the revenge she wanted to take were lifted. She smiled to herself.

As usual, she entered the kitchen to prepare breakfast while Angela prepared the kids for school. Once they were out, they all seemed to notice her happier state. No one talked about it, but the entire atmosphere was happier that morning. Angela knew it was because she had spent time with Edwin. Angela was hoping for them to reunite. She knew that Jessica still loved Edwin but was too stubborn to admit it. So she silently rooted for them but never forced her opinion on Jessica.

Once the kids were taken to school, Jessica and Angela left for work as well. On their way to work, Jessica filled Angela in on everything that happened between her and Edwin.

"How does all of this make you feel?" Angela asked.

"I don't know, Angie," Jessica said with a sigh. "I don't know how I feel about it."

Angela nodded. She understood her. Forgiving someone who made you suffer a great deal wasn't always easy. "If Edwin's father apologized like Edwin said he would, would you forgive him and stop your plan for revenge?"

"As of now, the plan for revenge is on hold. And maybe I would forgive him, maybe not. It all depends on his ability to give a proper and heartfelt apology."

Angela chuckled. "Proud ass."

Jessica giggled as well. They got to work and went their separate ways.

Hannah was seated in her bedroom, thinking of all the evil ways she could make Edwin pay for his betrayal. Occasionally, she would bite her fingernail. Her brain was under real pressure. The reason was, Edwin was very smart. So she needed to do something that he wouldn't easily detect until great harm was done. She knew she couldn't attack his company system because he had taken security measures so that was a no-go area.

"Aha!" She exclaimed. "Why don't I just frame him instead?"

"I could say the Turner Group are into the illegal use of drugs and that was why they framed Graves' Pharmaceuticals back then. It was just to cover for their sin!"

She laughed aloud like a maniac. "I'm a genius!"

She began to prepare the news and fake evidence that she was going to use.

She made a few contacts to help her prepare the different transaction receipts that would be her proof.

Edwin was in his office, focused on his work. He wanted to finish on time so that he could spend more time with his family.

His phone began to ring. Scowling, he answered the call.

"If it's not something important, I could have you killed." He threatened.

"Mr. Edwin, what happened between you and Ms. Reid?"

"Is that why you called me?" Edwin demanded.

"No… it's because she's planning to ruin you."

Edwin paused. "Ruin me? How?"

"She's busy, making plans and preparations to produce fake evidence to the media to frame you for indulging in the illegal use of drugs."

Edwin chuckled. "That's stupid. Graves' Pharmaceuticals was framed for the same thing."

"Exactly. She is about to say, "Your family framed them just to cover for your sin."

Edwin frowned. "Thank you, I will look into the matter."

He dropped the call. He phoned the private investigator he had worked with when Jessica was about to ruin his company.

"Mr. Turner, I've been expecting your call." The man said.

"Yes. I need you to help me stop all the progress of a certain Hannah Reid. Disconnect all their systems from the internet. I will send you their IP address. Use it to find their location and deactivate every internet access in and around the place." Edwin said.

"For how long?" The man asked.

"Until I say otherwise," Edwin replied.

"Alright, Mr. Turner."

"Oh and one more thing."

"Yes, Mr. Turner?"

"I will want you to look deeply into the Reid family for me. I overheard my father once mention that their bank reports didn't correspond with their annual income from the family company."

"Oh." The man said. "I understand, Mr. Turner. I will give you feedback in the next two hours."

Edwin dropped the call. Relaxing, he resumed his work. 'So Hannah wants to ruin me because I broke up with her? Did she really underestimate my connections?' He asked himself. Chuckling softly, he continued his work.

Exactly two hours later, his phone rang. He smiled slyly as he answered the call.

"I have the report and I've forwarded them to your email. Please go through them and reply with the next command." The man said.

"Alright detective. Thank you very much. I shall pay you handsomely." Edwin bragged. He dropped the call and opened his email. He wasn't in a hurry to do anything. He knew that the situation had been arrested.

Hannah would be freaking out since she wouldn't be able to access any internet. Even if she had someone upload it for her, nobody would be able to. Except if they weren't around her. And for her to send the proof to someone that far away, she would also need the internet. She smirked as he read.

"This is going to make a wonderful headline." He said aloud. "Can't wait to see the news this evening."

He replied to the man with a simple command.

*Share it with the media.*

The Reids will not know what hit them. In fact, they will get to find out about their secret being leaked by the media themselves. No internet access even at the company. Edwin laughed wickedly.

"There are some people that just shouldn't be touched, Hannah. Yet you dared to touch one of them."

He sent another command to the man again.

"Ensure that all investigations lead to Hannah. Let's frame her for framing her family. Give it five hours first, then restore their internet access."
