"Mommy UK please don't cry anymore," Juliet said hugging me

"thanks pumpkin, I'm okay," I said and gave her a peck on her temple.

my sister had given me a flash drive as we were leaving, I took out my laptop and connected it. There were videos and pictures of the things we did throughout the two weeks we were at home, the tears were flowing on their own and I didn't bother to wipe it.

"did you really a cry this much when you came to New York alone?" Jade asked, wrapping his arms around my neck from behind.

"No, I was more excited to see New York than feel sad that I won't be with my family and besides, I had just recovered from a terrible shock," I said remembering when I was told that my papers were invalid.

"oh yeah, how would we convey all these things home," I asked him

"You don't have to worry about that, I've made arrangements for it," he said

"Alright, if you say so,"

Hours later, the jet landed and we went out. Max and one of Jade's men stood waiting for us "welcome back Mr Kale, and Miss Udofia. Hope you had a great vacation," Max said

"We sure did," Jade said wrapping his arms around my shoulder.

Max opened the car for us to get in ,"don't worry Max, you help around here, I'll drive," Jade said and got the keys from him.

Hannah and her staff were waiting for us in front of the house, I ran up to her and hugged her, "oh Hannah, I've missed you so so much" I said to her

"We all missed you Miss Udofia, and everyone else. The house was not the same with all of you away," she said

"Oh Hannah you wouldn't believe the things I did..." Juliet started.

Sandra helped me with my bag, immediately I got to my room, I fell on the bed feeling completely drained. If only I didn't have a shoot the following day, I wouldn't have gotten out of bed till 11am. I thought.

Monday morning, I literally dragged myself out of bed to go down for breakfast. When I got to the dinning table, a strong feeling of deja Vu came to me. Jade turned to me and smiled "sleeping beauty is finally awake," he said. My heart skipped a beat when he said that, "what did you say?" I asked.

Juliet looked at me and smiled, "why are you staring at me that way Mommy UK?" She asked.

I smiled and shook my head, "nothing pumpkin"

After breakfast, Max took me to VR Studio, where I was meeting with the director of the movie. "Good morning Miss Udofia," the Director said to me

"Good morning Mr Ace," I answered

"I'm sure you are aware of the reason I sent for you," he said

"Pretty much. According to your email, I have been given the female lead role and so I was to come for the shoot today," I said

"yeah, about that... the shoot is not happening today, it's in 3 weeks. I called you here to meet you in person and let you get to know your costars, y'know, meet other members of the Crew," he said

"Alright,"

"now I've seen the movies you've featured and I think you are a very talented actress, that's why I decided the second lead role wasn't right for you. Talents like this shouldn't be hidden with few lines and menial roles, I want the world to know what you are capable of doing." he said

"thank you so much Sir, I feel so honored for this opportunity," I said, I was bubbling with excitement.

"one more thing, I know it was announced that the movie will feature new artists but I think you would need someone who won't just boost your image, but will help you work to the best of your ability. On that note, the person who would work with you as the male lead is Blake Jordan," he said.

"oh my God, the Blake Jordan?" I asked in shock

"yes, the Blake Jordan," the Director answered. as if on cue, his secretary came in to say that Blake had just arrived. "let him in," the Director said

Blake came in, God he was so handsome,

"hello UK, nice to meet you," he said bringing his hand for a shake

"nice to meet you too," I said shaking his hands and smiling foolishly

"you too get to know each other and learn to work together okay?" the Director said.

"sure thing Mr Ace, don't you worry UK is in good hands," Blake said. "come on UK, the others are waiting for us," he said taking my hand. I froze on my track, no guy is expected to hold me this way except Jade. oh boy, I am in big trouble, this Blake is such a handsome rival, I thought.

We got to meet other actors and actresses, I found out that I had a make up artist and a dressing room all to myself. It was fun hanging out with Blake and others, he bought drinks for everyone and seemed to be paying attention to me alone, which was a bit awkward. We exchanged numbers and he took a picture of me and made me take his, "I add a picture of all my contacts," he said in defense when I asked him why he needed my picture.

when it was time to go, he asked if he could stop me at my place, "no thank you, my driver is waiting for me," I told him

"you can simply tell him that you would be going home with friends, you're the boss aren't you?" he said

"yeah... I'm not going home straight, I need to see a friend," I lied.

"I can take you wherever you want, I don't have anything to do and I will love to hangout with you," he insisted.

I was saved by a call from Jade, "hey honey," his lovely voice greeted and I smiled

"hey, how's work?" I asked

"boring, tell me how the shoot went," he said

"there was no shoot today, the movie is starting in three weeks. Anyway I'm going home now, I'm just glad I don't have anything to do tomorrow, I need a lot of rest." I told him

"you can send Hannah to make you a relaxing tea it'll help you sleep well," Jade said

"alright, bye honey," I said and the call ended

"so you're going home straight?" Blake asked and I nodded

"see you later Blake," I said and walked away, moving to the parking lot where Max was waiting for me.

Immediately I got home, I changed, showered and collapsed on my bed.

Throughout that week, I met up with Blake and other Crew members to rehearse our lines. I made sure I avoided being alone with Blake, I didn't want to give him a chance to try anything silly. One morning, he called me to meet him at the gym, "why would we be rehearsing at the gym?" I asked him over the phone.

"Because there is a scene that we would shoot at the gym, scene 65 precisely," he replied. I took my script and checked what scene 65 was about.

In scene 65, Daisy (the female lead) went to the gym where she met Kyle (the male lead) working out, since she owed him a favor, Kyle asked her to sit on his back and massage his neck while he did push ups.

"I'm sorry Blake, I am not in the mood for a workout," I told him

"You are not working out, all you need to do is dress up pretty and sit on my back," he said

"This is not the main shoot, you don't expect to come with a workout outfit," I told him

"Yes it's not a shoot, but I think if we should act like it is a shoot, then we can make it perfect," he said

"I am not even home now and I'm not dressed properly to be at the gym and I don't plan on going home soon," I told him.

"Fine," he said grunting "come the way you are. I'll text you the address of the gym,"

"Okay," I said and ended the call before he could say anything again.

"Leaving already?" Ariel asked as I stood up

"Yes, I'm sorry. I'll make it up to you I promise, tell Xiao Ling I'm sorry for leaving so soon," I said and left.

I didn't go with Max to meet Ariel and Xiao Ling and so I took a taxi home, I was wearing a flair skirt and body fitting top. I couldn't go to the gym dressed up this way. I had to make sure that the only exposed part of my body Blake would see was my palm and my face.
