We kissed passionately for about 5 minutes and would have continued if we were not interrupted by my phone ringing, "your phone is ringing," Jade said, breaking the kiss.

"I know," I replied

"aren't you going to pick up the call?" Jade asked me

"do you want me to leave and answer the phone?" I asked in a hush tone, biting my lower lip

"oh God, UK are you aware of what you are doing right now?"

"I'm doing a lot of things, Jade"

"you're biting your lips,"

"oh, that? What's wrong?"

"unless you want to move on wheelchair for the next few months, stop doing that" he said

"so what do you want me to do?" I asked

He didn't answer, he moved me to the dinning table and made me sit on the table with my legs still wrapped around his waist. He started kissing my earlobe, then moved slowly to my cheek, down to my neck and finally rested his face in between my breast, "God..." he

groaned when he realized I wasn't wearing bra. I felt something hard pressing my thigh, that only meant he too felt the same thing I was feeling, I gasped when he nibbled on my nipples through my clothes. He went back to my lips but this time, instead of going all numb and enjoying the moment, It seemed my brain came back from wherever the sweet sensation threw it to, the first thing that came to my mind was, Jade had gone far and I wasn't going to have sex with him right then. I broke the kiss, he tried pulling me back but I shook my head, "what's wrong?" he asked

"nothing, I think we shouldn't go farther than that,"

"I thought you wanted it,"

"some other day honey, I'm not going anywhere, you're gonna have me all to yourself for a very long time."

"I was just going to the more juicy part," Jade said pouting

"save it for some other time,"

"so what about this?" he asked pointing at the front of him trousers

"You'll figure out a way, you always do," I said grinning.

He wanted to say something when my phone rang again, "oooo, saved by the phone," I said

"you said you didn't want to pick up, what makes this one different?" Jade asked, still pinning me on the table.

"because it's my mother calling," I answered

"how do you know that she's the one calling?"

"I made that particular song to play when she calls"

"urg" he groaned "you really know how to ruin a moment," he said and released me and I ran to answer the phone before the call ended, it was a video call. I've never had a video call with my mom before, I didn't want her to see me in the living room, it wasn't so hostel like. I ran to my room, "hey! Where are you going?" Jade asked, "my room, my mother want to make a video call," I shouted. Before I got into my room, the call had ended, I knew she'd call again, so I used the opportunity to check my appearance on the mirror. I looked okay, but it seemed something was a bit off... oh! the bandage around my head, I didn't know how I'd hide it from my mother.

I was still contemplating what to do when Jade knocked on the door, "UK, can I come in?"

"yeah, come in,"

"wow, that was quick,"

I raised a brow, "I have no idea what you're talking about"

"I mean the conversation with your mother"

"oh that, the call ended before I came in to my room"

"You look a bit off, what's wrong?" he asked

"my family are unaware of the incident and I'm not planning to tell them, but if my mother makes a video call with me, she'll definitely see this bandage and ask questions, I wouldn't be able to explain it to her,." I told him

"then take it off, did Dr Kimberly not say you can take it off before the week runs out? come I'll help you."

Why didn't I think of that? Jade loosened my bandage and drops of blood came out, Dr Kimberly had removed the stitches the last time I went to the hospital, "there you go. Now go ahead and call your mother, I be in my room taking care of this," he said pointing at his hard on.

"Thanks Jade, for everything," I said

"I'm not going to ask why you did what you did back there but I'm going to say you should do it often," he said and left. I got on my bed and called my mother, she answered immediately, she didn't look so good, it's been 2 months since I saw her and she wasn't the same. Here I was, living in a Manor, being pampered all the time and my mother was there looking so frail and pale. "Ma?" I choked on my saliva, "my baby, it's so good to see you. You look so healthy and even more beautiful within 2 months," she said smiling, even her voice had changed. "ma, are ill?" I asked

"I'm a bit unwell but you don't have to worry,"

"since when?"

"what?"

"since when have you been sick, ma?"

"a week I guess, it's nothing serious,"

"what do you mean it's nothing serious, ma you look very sick and your voice have changed. Did you get a test, just to know what exactly is the problem?" I asked

"no, I'm sure it's just malaria, I'm going to buy malaria medicine tomorrow," she said. I knew she won't buy it, she'd rather use the money to buy food stuffs for the family. She'd act tough even if she was really sick, "enough about me. You said you were getting your results today, have you gotten it?" she asked

Talking about my result brought back memories of what happened between Jade and I, it was meant to be a simple thank you kiss. But it became hotter and sexier, "that smile tells me that it went well," my mother said.

"Yes ma, I did it, I passed my exam and got the scholarship," I told her

"thank you Lord for answering my prayers, I'm so happy for you, my child." I heard her tell my dad that I've been given the scholarship, he got the phone, "oh my little dancer (a pet name he usually call me), congratulations, I'm so happy for you,"

My siblings were not home so I couldn't talk to them, I talked with my mother for a long time, she wanted to continue but I urged her to go to bed since she was yawning so much.

When the call ended, I called Xiao Ling, she and Darren were going out to celebrate their success in the scholarship exams. It was some minutes after 4 and I was feeling bored, I went to Jade's room, maybe we could play a game of draught, it was always so easy to defeat him.

I was about to knock the door when he opened, he looked upset, "oh, just the person I was coming to meet," he said.

"what's the matter?" I asked

"come in." I went in and sat on the chair. "there's a big contract I'm trying to get, if I get this contract it'll really help my company. The man in charge is trying to match make his daughter with me, it's her birthday party tonight and I'm invited. I want you to come with me as my plus 1. Not just an ordinary plus 1 but a sweet and overprotective fiancee, it's not just his daughter I'm trying to avoid, there are so many people who see me as their prospective husband and I really want them out of my hair while I seal the deal with the man in charge. Please help me," he pleaded.

"hmmmm, what's in it for me?" I asked smiling slyly

"You are one naughty girl, won't you help your future husband get rid of other women trying to snatch him from you?" he asked, I shook my head.

"Fine, there's a woman in West Africa named Ofonime Udofia, who would be receiving 500,000 dollars from an anonymous donor for her health and that of her family." he said

My mouth dropped, he overheard the conversation with my mother, "why would you do that for someone you don't know?" I asked, "because she gave birth to the best person I've met in my entire life," he replied cupping my cheeks."sorry for eavesdropping on your conversation, but I want to help, if your mother is sick then you will be sad and if you are sad, my heart will ache,"

My eyes were blurred with tears, "oh Jade," I hugged him. "You've been too good to me, how would I ever repay you?"

"you can start by being my plus 1 and scaring women from me,"

"I'll do that," I replied

"thank you, the party is starting 7:30 we'll leave here at 7, is that ok with you?" I nodded, "good, that's all, you can go get ready now."

I left to get ready, when he called "UK, one more thing"

"What?"

"you're my fiancee , don't forget your ring."
