"Urg... he's such a pervert," I groaned as I entered my room, "what's a pervert?" a small voice asked, I turned to see Juliet sitting on my bed, hugging her stuffed unicorn. " Juliet? what are you doing here?" I asked avoiding her question, luckily for me she didn't push it. " I've been waiting for you since you left with daddy, I really need your help," she answered

" what do you want me to help you with? "

" my friend, Katie is having a birthday party tomorrow evening and I have no idea what kind of present I should get her, " she was at the brink of tears

" shh, don't cry, I'm going to help you as much as I can, now tell me, what does Katie love?

" Katie...(sniffs)... loves a lot of things...(sniffs again)... but most especially...(sniffs)... ballet...(sniffs)"

" great, I think I know the best gift for your friend," I said

Her face brightened up, "really? what is it?"

" I think we should buy her a music box, not just any kind of music box but the type that has different kind of songs and has a cute little ballerina twirling round and round, "

" yes, why didn't I think of that? " She jumped on me, wrapping her small hands around my neck, " oh UK, you're the best. I know the best place we can find that, let me go tell Hannah."

" what time are you going to buy it?"

"we're going right away, me, you and Hannah."

" Me? what I'm I going to do?" I asked

" you'll be able to choose the best. hurry up and get ready, I don't want someone else to get it" she said and ran out

"daddy, daddy, we need a car", she said at the top of her voice.

I stood in front of the mirror to look at my top, I saw nothing wrong with it, that pervert...This would the my first time i viewed New York City in the day time, I changed into a white turtle neck sweater, a pair of ripped jeans and a pair of Converse. I made a tight bun with my hair, took my camera, phone and wallet, yep, this looked great. " UK? come out now, daddy is taking us to the toy store," Juliet called in a singsong voice. oh no, Jade is taking us?

They were waiting for me downstairs, Hannah still on her uniform, I was shocked to see that Juliet wore exactly the same type of clothes as I, Jade was already dressed for work in a blue suit. "you're dressed just like me", Juliet and I said in unison, "this is really amazing, people may think UK is your mother," Hannah said. Juliet looked at her awkwardly and then turn to her Jade, " daddy, I want to change my clothes", she said.

" I'm sorry honey, I'll be late, let's go." He told her, I couldn't explain the look on her face when she looked at me, I just shrugged and went out.

Jade was driving this time, Juliet and Hannah got to the back while I got into the passengers seat and we drove away.

As the car went out of the gate, Jade pulled over, " why are we stopping here?" I asked, he didn't answer, he just bent very close to me. " Jade, what are you doing?" I asked in a low tone with my teeth clenched, he brought his left hand across my body. I clamped my eyes shut and covered my face with my palm when I felt something tight across my body, "I just wanted to help you buckle your seatbelt, I'm not kissing you. Yet", he said. " you should have just told me to do it," I mumbled. "what's the fun there? I enjoy seeing you this way" he said and winked at me.When we reached the toy store, Jade dropped us and left to work, we were supposed to call Scott to pick us up when we finished, Hannah asked if I could operate POS machine and I nodded, " ok, please will you do the shopping with alone with Juliet, I need to meet someone nearby. Here's my number and Scott's just in case you're done shopping and ready to go and I'm not back, he'll come pick you guys up, I find my way back home, please"

I agreed, she gave me her number and Scott's and told me to card number of Jade's credit card. I and Juliet went inside, one of the workers came to me and ask what I needed, when I told her, she took us to the part of the store with different types of music boxes, " make your choice," she said and left us to attend to another customer.

" Juliet, Why don't you check the other side for anyone you think is best for Katie while I check this side," I told her

" ok" and she left.

There were so many types, each different from the other, different sizes and colors and designs. I was checking out one when I heard some kids talking where Juliet went, I didn't really pay attention until I heard "... she doesn't even have a mommy, I bet she came to shop with her nanny..." "don't you know her mommy is dead?"

I couldn't hold myself anymore when I heard her cry, " honey what happened?" I asked " these kids say my mommy is dead," she answered still crying.

I don't know what happened to her mother but these kids were bullying her and I didn't like it one bit, I squatted to be the same level with her, " Juliet, you don't have to cry about that, these kids are just trouble makers, I'm going to give them a piece of my mind," I got up to confront them but she held the hem of my top and I went back squatting, she then hugged me really tight and said, " just for today, please be my mommy, please be the wife of Mr Jade Kale.""what?" I couldn't believe my ears, "what nonsense are you saying, Juliet?"

" please UK, I don't want these kids to make fun of me anymore, I know I said you shouldn't marry my daddy but just for today, please be my mommy, please, please, please, " she begged, how could I say no to her. " Don't worry baby, mommy's here for you, and she won't allow anyone bully her princess, " I said, wiping her tears with my fingers.

I went to where those kids stood, "listen up you knuckleheads, how dare you to bad things about me to my daughter?" I said with annoyance

"daughter?" one of them asked, scrunching his face

" yes, she's my daughter and she has a mother, now if I see any of you tadpoles molesting my baby girl again, I'm gonna make sure I beat you real good and no body will save you, got it!" I scolded. one started crying and the other joined, their mother must have heard them crying because she rushed down to where we were standing, she was very tall and intimidating.

Juliet hid behind me, " mommy that woman is scary," " don't worry baby, she doesn't scare me", I said, patting her head. This woman reminded me of my mathematics teacher back in secondary School.

"Hey girly?" She called

" girly?"

" what are you? 15?"

" hey lady, I'm 18, try showing a little respect," I retorted

" whatever, why are you harassing my kids?" she asked. " mommy, she called us knuckleheads," one of them said, " and tadpoles. she even said she'll beat us real good," the other kid added, the woman was glaring at me

" how dare you raise your voice at my children?" she asked in a commanding tone

I met her glare, I will not allow her to scare me, Juliet was looking up to me. " Those little devils were bullying my daughter, I was standing there and they told her that her mother was dead, you're a mother also, how would you react?"

" you? a mother? have you looked at yourself in the mirror? can a monkey give birth to a rabbit?"
