"Ukpono are you ok, I heard you scream" my brother asked.

" I'm perfectly fine, I have to go, we'll talk some other time alright?''

I ended the call, put on a bathrobe and went out to confront Jade. I heard his voice and followed it, the door to his room was left a little open so I could see him and Scott talking, I didn't care how I looked, I pushed the door and got in, 2 pairs of eyes looked at me but I was only interested in 1.

" Scott, could you excuse us for a second I need to speak with Jade privately" I said to Scott without taking my eyes off Jade's.

" sure " I didn't say anything until I heard the soft click of the door.

"you know you should have knocked before coming in, what if I was naked?" Jade said,

" well you didn't do that earlier when you came to my room," I replied

" well you just did the same thing so we're even, you don't have to get upset  about it"

"I don't have to get upset about it? you just barged into my room when I was naked and you say I should not get upset because I happened to come in to your room without knocking. The door was open so I knew you were with Scott and besides, you're not naked,"

He chuckled, " so now that you're here, what do you want me to do for you?"

I don't know, why am I here? what did I want him to do? I just came in having no idea what I wanted him to do. " well, I... you...uhm... I..."

" I know what I can do, why don't I take off my clothes so you too can see me naked"

" what? no I don't want to see anything", I turned to go out but he ordered Scott to lock the door

" Ukpono! Look at me," I refused "now!!!" he barked

I turned slowly and saw he was still fully dressed, I released the breath I never knew I was holding. " now be a good girl and stand quietly with your eyes open or else, we're gonna stay here all day," Jade said slowly taking off his sweaty polo over his head and I just stood there

when he went down to pull his joggers down, I couldn't hold myself, I covered my face with my palms and he started laughing, " that's what you get for scaring me, Scott please open the door for her," as soon as the door opened, I scurried out with my heart in my mouth.I ran into my room, locked the door and leaned there trying to calm my racing heart, Jade is a big bully, I was only playing a small prank on him earlier and he pulled this type of stunt, this was too much for me. I know he was trying to make me lose the bet and I won't let that happen. But then, no matter who wins, I'll be kissing Jade in front of Hannah, Elizabeth, Sandra, Juliet, Scott may be there too and any other person that comes to the house that day.

I got up slowly and went to the bathroom, that's when I realized I had left the water running when my phone rang and now it was overflowing. I quickly switched it off, luckily there wasn't much water on the floor. I took out 3 towels on top of the cabinet and mopped the water dry, removed my bathrobe, removed the plug in the tub to reduce the quantity of water so that it won't pour when I stepped in. I placed the plug back when I was satisfied with the quantity of water left.

After shower I changed to a green tank top and a pair of shorts and flip-flops. I left my hair down and went to have breakfast, somehow I prayed Jade wouldn't join us but my prayers were not answered because as I stepped into the dinning room, I saw him sitting there stuffing his mouth with omelettes completely unfazed. "You're awake" Juliet shrieked and came to hug me

"I didn't just wake up, I went out for an early morning run," I explained to her.

" come, daddy was just asking Hannah to go call you, I think he was worried about you. Is there something going on between you and my daddy that I don't know about?" Juliet asked

" no, nothing is going on. can you keep a secret?" I asked her

she nodded her

" your daddy is a big, scary, bully"

she only laughed and said, " you're really smart and quick to find that out on your own"I was telling Juliet how I frightened Jade earlier this morning and she was giggling, " I never knew daddy was such a baby". Even Hannah was laughing, I had my back to Jade and so I couldn't see his face. I felt a shiver run down my spine when he whispered in to my ears, " why don't you tell them how I taught you a lesson for scaring the wit out of me "

I turned my head to my side, looking at him with the corner of my eye, " I have absolutely no idea what you are talking about, Jade, " I feigned ignorance. " maybe a little demonstration would refresh your memory, don't you think? " He asked

My eyes widened in horror but I tried to remain calm because Juliet was with me and I didn't want Jade to this that he was winning the bet, I leaned closer to Juliet and said, "your daddy is bullying me again, what do I do?"

" don't worry UK, I'll give him a piece of my mind", she said and jumped down from her seat. I've not known Juliet for a long time but the way she acts and talk makes me think she's not 5 but 12. " Daddy, we had a deal right? You are not supposed to bully my friends and UK is my friend, you are a bad daddy, bad daddy," she said. " fine, this bad daddy wouldn't get you a red velvet cake for your birthday and Hannah can't make a red velvet cake, so what are you going to do? what's going to happen to your birthday party if there's no cake? ''

" The party will be perfect because Juliet happens to have a friend who can make a delicious red velvet cake for her birthday," I said

"she does?" Jade asked

" I do?" Juliet asked

" yes you do, me..." I replied smiling

" for reals? " Juliet was ecstatic, she ran to her father and stuck out her tongue at him.

After breakfast, Jade asked me to meet him in his study, I took Juliet with me so he wouldn't try anything funny, " UK, come alone! " He barkedHe didn't even bother to wait for me, I didn't know if his study was the same place as that library room I entered the other day so I had to run to meet up with him, I saw him enter a room next to his bedroom and so I hurried in. "What did you have to say?" I asked him

" Look UK, in as much as I'm glad that you and my daughter are in good terms, I'll advise that you take your upcoming exams and your education as your primary goal, every other thing should be secondary, well... except me. Remember there are a lot of people back home who are looking up to you, I'm very much sure there are others who don't want you to succeed, you told me you wanted to accomplish what no one in your family has ever accomplished, I've given you an opportunity, the ball is in your court.

That aside, I got a mail from Mr Blue this morning, he said he's gotten in touch with your tutors but they want to start the class tomorrow which is Friday and not Monday, I told him I'll get back to him when I talk to you about it."

" It's okay, I've been a little bored staying alone with Hannah, it'll be great to do something productive." I replied.

" Great, it is settled now, in that case I'll let Mr Blue know you're ready. You'll be having your classes in the library, that will be a good place. I'll tell Scott to get you some exercise books,"

" Alright, can't wait to start", I felt very eager to start.

We stood there for about 5 minutes in silence, " is there anything else you have to say or I can leave now, " I said. He didn't say anything, he just stood there looking me. "Alright, I'm going to my room, " I turned to leave when he said, " you're not putting on bra, aren't you?"

" I'm sorry, what? " I couldn't believe my ears.

" I noticed your breasts jiggling when you move and are you aware that top is a see through kinda top, I'm not complaining at all, in fact I love it and I'll appreciate it if you wear more of these whenever you're coming to meet me. What do you say?" he said waggling his eyebrows. " not on your life " and then I left the room.
