“Hi, my name is Soo, I’m Elaine’s manager.” The woman reached out her hand and said to me.

“Hi, I’m Katherine, her new assistant.” I politely shook her hand, and prepared to walk away.

“Wait, Katherine,” Soo tapped on my shoulder and stopped me, “have you ever thought of becoming an actor, or maybe a model? You will make a lot more than being an assistant.” She looked at me with full of expectation.

Me, becoming an actor? I just spent the last few weeks hiding and running away from my old life, and I don’t prepare on exposing myself on tv.

“Sorry, I’m not interested.” I smiled apologetically at her, "I will see you at work."

Mike crossed his arms and looked pissed, he turned his head away. They looked too cute to me, I couldn’t help but rub my hand on his hair. Mike’s high nose and deep eyes reminded me of someone, especially when he was making a serious face…

I shook my head. ‘Stop Katherine! Stop thinking of him!’

Diana stayed until the kids went to bed. I closed their door lightly and asked with a low voice: “how was everything today, did they make any trouble for you?”

Diana shook her head and smiled, “no, Mike and Lily are very good, it’s just, there is one thing I should probably tell you…”
