Chapter 37: Chapter 37
"It's been a really difficult time for me and Daisy. I'm writing this post very early in the morning because I just can't sleep. I need to tell everyone what's really been going on.
A few days ago, on our anniversary night, something terrible happened. Daisy was set up. She was lured into a situation where she was made to look like she was cheating on me. It was all a setup, and it wasn't her fault at all.
I feel so responsible for not being able to protect my woman from something so terrible. Daisy is the most amazing person I know, and to see her being dragged through the mud like this is just heartbreaking.
I want to plead with all the netizens and everyone who has been criticizing her to please stop. Daisy is innocent. She did not cheat on me. She loves me, and I love her.
Investigations are currently going on regarding the issue to fish out the bad people who set her up. We hope that justice will be served and that Daisy's name will be cleared.
In the meantime, I just want to ask for your support and understanding. This has been a really difficult time for both of us, and we would appreciate it if you could show some compassion and kindness.
Thank you for reading."
Very early in the morning, Edward had woken up to make this post and in an hour, it had caused quite a very huge stir on the internet. Bursting people out of their wits and shocking the whole nation.
He did not even need to contact news channels and media to share this post as this breaking news had gone viral on its own accord.
Edward's post, just as Andrew wanted had caused quite a huge turn.
Laying on his bed since he made that post, Edward watched as things magically turned around. A few people even began to criticize him for not making this post and clearing things up earlier but some people defended him that he too had not made any public announcement since that incident. He too was aggrieved by it.
Edward breathing up a sigh finally put down his phone while lying on his back on the bed. Just then, Chris burst in with an extremely surprised look on his face.
"That post, you made it? Your phone wasn't hacked or stolen?" Chris asked surprisingly as he hurried to Edward's side.
"You really did make that post? Wow. Remember how I kept on telling you that Daisy would never do such a thing."
Edward breathed out a sigh before he simply shrugged.
"So you've started investigating the case, right?" Chris asked while staring at Edward and Edward could not help but sigh again.
Edward shook his head while staring at the ceiling. "I haven't but would do."
He had also thought about it and he felt he also should try investigating the matter. Cause what if Daisy is truly innocent?
She had helped them a lot all these years so isn't it time for him to try to come to her rescue?
Now he should try investigating the situation. Daisy really could be innocent and that'll be a good thing.
Whichever way, Chris felt both happy and relieved.
Edward, suddenly furrowed his brows, remembering he had actually woken up from a nightmare. A really bad nightmare and Thelma was there.
In the basement, the lady walked back into the bedroom where Sarah lay unconscious.
She had sexually violated the poor girl till she went unconscious again.
Staring down at Sarah, she smirked and said, "I know you can still hear me, but believe me when I say I would have killed you long ago if not because I kind of like you."
Her phone suddenly began to ring and still with that smug look on her face, she lazily picked up the call before placing the phone against her ear.
But then, she was greeted by Richard's panicked voice that caused her brows to furrow lightly.
"Richard?" She called "Couldn't kill the doctor?"
"I did." He answered.
"But we have a bigger problem," he added.
The lady paused and just waited for Richard to go on. She even still had a calm look on.
"Edward made a post about Daisy and things have suddenly taken a turn. In fact, Finn's media has been trying to contact Daisy."
When the lady heard this, she was so shocked that her eyes widened. She actually never thought of the possibility that Edward would do that.
Next, she heard Richard say, "I actually would have thought Edward was only beginning to feel guilty about the whole situation resulting to him making the post he made, but this morning, I got a video clip through the CCTV of the hospital Rose is where a nurse had helped a middle-aged man get Rose hair and blood. Sadly, I can't trace the man or where he came from. I'll have to check if something similar happened at the prime minister's home or office."
The lady was shocked. The little information she just heard this early morning was clearly telling her that someone had discovered her or was getting to discover her and was now seriously working against her.
She just could not help but feel so surprised cause she has always thought she has the best schemes.
Meanwhile, Andrew slowly opened his eyes, the bright sunlight filtering through the curtains of the guest room he was in. He frowned, confused and disoriented.
"Why am I here?" He muttered brazenly even though he felt like a mess at that point. He was extremely tired and it just felt like his body was run over by a trailer
Just then, Wesley walked into the room, a smirk on his handsome face. "Good morning, Andrew," he greeted. "I hope you slept well."
Andrew groaned, rubbing his forehead. At least, he now realized he is at Wesley's even though he could not even remember how he ended up there. "What happened?" he asked, trying to remember the events of the previous night.
Wesley folded his arms across his chest. "My men found you drunk at a bar," he said bluntly. "I had to bring you back here and with their aid, I drove you here. Don't worry, we're still in South Yarra."
Andrew frowned, but next, he smiled feeling slightly embarrassed that his cheeks burned. It was all starting to come back to him in a rush.
After meeting with Edward, he had gone out to drink his sorrows away, drowning himself in alcohol until he couldn't feel anything. And now, he was in Wesley's house, in a room that was clearly meant for guests.
Andrew winced, feeling embarrassed and ashamed. "I'm sorry," he muttered. "I didn't mean to cause any trouble."
Wesley's chuckled and his expression carried a hint of playfulness as he said, "I know you're going through a tough time," he said. "Sarah suddenly leaving you and all. But drowning yourself in alcohol is not the answer. You need to face your problems head-on, not try to run away from them. Aren't you supposed to be taking action in getting back your woman?"
Andrew nodded, feeling slightly guilty. Just then, he noticed Wesley was holding a piece of paper and he could not help but ask, "What's that?"
Wesley stared down at the folded paper in his hand before he shrugged, "Nothing important though."
With that, Wesley left the room.
As he lay down there, and with the sunlight streaming through the window, he could not help but breathe out a sigh.
He wasn't running away from his problem after all. He is now facing these demons and he hopes to bring them down.
From outside, Wesley suddenly announced that he has somewhere to go. Andrew nodded and then suddenly remembering something, he reached out to grab his phone.
He needed to check the situation of things online now.
