Chapter 32: Chapter 32

YASMIN.

"Mummy he's not picking up my calls." I whispered, "

what do I do now?"

"Don't cry honey, everything would be fine. We'll think of something." She encouraged.

"No it won't be fine, just look at this." I cried out showing her a picture Toby uploaded on his Instagram. It was a picture of Ruby sleeping on a private jet and he captioned it "Getting away with wifey."

"Just calm down." My mother cooed trying to ease my panic.

"How can I be calm? You said it yourself she's trying to snatch my man and I have to be between them at all times," I said, pacing the room.

"We need to figure out his exact location then we can pull some money together and buy you a plane ticket to fly over." My mother said, clicking her fingers together as if she had just come up with the most ingenious idea. "You see problems solved or almost solved because now how do we get his location?"

"The last time we were together I turned on notification sharing thing on his phone," I said thinking out loud a smile spreading across my face. I could have thought of all these sooner if I was not too busy panicking.

"That's amazing, smart thinking." My mother said, coming to sit beside me and giving me a side hug. I shook her off and continued fiddling with my phone.

"They might still be flying because his location is not coming up here," I tell her feeling downcast after three failed attempts of trying to load up his location.

"It's not a problem then, we just have to wait." She encourages. I stand up and resume pacing, then load up my phone another three times but still nothing. I toss my phone and luckily for me, it landed on the bed.

"Why don't we pack your clothes? You need to be well prepared for the trip." She said, successfully distracting me. We packed my best and most revealing clothes, my lingeries, bikinis, stilettos, make-up, skin care products and hair products. I had overpacked but who cared, I needed to be prepared for all situations.

It was three hours of packing, two bags and one carry-on later before I remembered to check my phone for his location again.

"They are in Hawaii at some place called Aloha Resort," I told my mother who is watching me eagerly.

"Let me go grab my laptop so I can book you a flight and a room." My mother explained as she rushed out my bedroom door.

"Hawaii, here I come."

TOBY.

I woke up in a strange bed, feeling a little disoriented, the early morning sun streamed into the room casting its yellow glow on everything in the room including Ruby beside me and I have to admit she looks beautiful only for a moment, it reminded me of the picture I took of her on the jet and posted on Instagram on impulse. Then I remembered that Ruby and I were on yet another honeymoon.

I stretched out my limbs, sit up in bed and reached for my phone to find several missed calls and messages from Yasmin. It was just too early in the morning to deal with her energy so I decided to leave the messages unopened and headed to the bathroom instead.

"Why are you eating the food I ordered? Who told you any of it was for you?” I asked when I walked out of the room fully dressed to find Ruby who I left sleeping before going to shower stuffing her face with the breakfast I ordered before going to shower.

"Relax, Mr. Grumpy pants, there is enough food for everyone."

"Now I understand why you are this size, it must be the love for food. Look at you eating first thing in the morning without even brushing your teeth."

"You don't have to make fun of my size in every conversation you know, I'm not even as big as I was in high school and you make it look like something huge. It's not my fault I woke up hungry." She mumbled.

"Excuses, Excuses, Excuses," I said, sitting at the table to have my breakfast. Ruby glared at me but I pretended not to notice. If she had laser eyes, I would probably be melted in a puddle right now.

"There is a whole itinerary planned for the next seven days," Ruby said, naturally she finished eating before me since I met her eating.

"Let me see," I said walking towards where she was standing holding a piece of paper that previously sat on the coffee table in front of her. She handed me the paper, then re-tied the sash of her robe, and my eyes follow her movement before going to the paper. The only thing penciled in for today was a private dinner, other days had numerous activities like quad biking, surfing, swimming with the dolphins, a painting class, a cooking class and many other activities that made me dizzy just thinking about doing all of them in seven days.

"It sounds so fun," Ruby said, excitement seeping into her voice.

"It sounds like a lot."

I was bored out of my mind since there was nothing to do after I had unpacked. Dad ensured that I had zero access to work on this trip, my friends were all back home so I could not call them up to hang out and Ruby and I had nothing to talk about. The time seemed to crawl by, I lay on the couch and scrolled through social media and I must have fallen asleep at some point.

"Hey, let me in."

"No way."

"I'm just here to take Toby out of your hands as usual. You don't have to act all defensive like it's a real honeymoon."

"Alright then, call him but I'm not letting you in."

"Move aside, we both know who he wants to be with, who he finds comfort in."

"You mean in between whose legs," Ruby countered.

Ruby and Yasmin's bickering woke me up from my sleep, at first, I thought that I must have been dreaming but it persisted so It forced me awake and I walked up to the door to find Ruby blocking Yasmin from entering.

"Baby." Yasmin cooed on spotting me.

"Ruby, let her in," I said.

"No, I won't. Feel free to meet her outside."

"Fine, then move aside."

"I'm not moving aside until she steps back," Ruby said stubbornly.

"Take a step back, Yasmin." She obeyed my command so Ruby moved aside to let me pass and then she slammed the door after me. I chuckled at the sound of the lock being turned in place, who knew Ruby could be this feisty?

"Why weren't you picking up my calls?" Yasmin asked hands akimbo, trying to look intimidating.

"Not here, where is your room? I asked, but she doesn't answer, she just took my hand, picked up her overnight bag, one that I didn't notice sitting on the floor earlier and lead me to the elevator.

"Are you ignoring me?" She asked on getting to her room.

"I was on transit," I said sitting on her bed.

"You could have at least replied to my messages."

"I hadn't quite gotten around to it. How did you know where to find me?"

"That's my little secret." She giggled but then it turned into a little frown a few seconds later. "How you are treating me right now is not cool at all, you should have let me know you were travelling."

"The whole trip happened quite fast and honestly I didn't think to call because ours has never been that type of relationship."

"Well, that was before she came into the picture." She says and that is the truth of the matter, Yasmin and I's relationship was pretty casual before I married Ruby. We would meet when we could, mostly at parties or hangouts with other friends and it would always end with great sex. We would go weeks without seeing each other while she was shooting sometimes and she for sure knew I was sleeping with other people. She never seemed like the jealous type before now and I wondered how and why she got the time to be chasing me around like this. I looked over at her in her tight short dress, long hair and heels. Her make-up was on point too. She was hot but this new attitude was unattractive.

"I forgive you but you have to take me out to dinner tonight and spend the night with me." She said, pressing her body against mine and putting her arms around me. I chuckled, women were honestly funny. I never apologised but here she was forgiving me.

"Okay, fine." I agreed, "dinner plans had already been made for Ruby and me but we'll go instead, I guess." I said making her smile right before she presses her lips against mine. I didn't really want to spend a whole week with just Ruby anyways. We made out for a few seconds before she pulled away, I pulled her back, "after dinner," she cooed.

"Fine!" I said as I let her go.

"You're wearing that?" She said, a few hours later looking at the clothes I've been wearing all day. She had changed into a red evening dress and redone her hair and make-up while I just sat and waited, half listening to her vain conversation.

"Well, you refused to let me go back to my room," I answered.

"Okay it's fine, let's go." She said.

A few minutes after I confirmed our reservation and asked for directions we were led up to a private rooftop restaurant. We had just settled in our seats and our menus were placed in front of us when another couple walked in, the lighting was minimal so I couldn't see them clearly but the lady claimed my attention. Her dress was simple but accentuated her curves and she was curvy in all the right places.

I was just about to call the waiter's attention and ask him why another couple was allowed to join us when my eyes connected with Ruby's. My eyes could not be deceiving me, damn, the lady was Ruby but who was the man beside her?
