Chapter 20: Chapter 20

"A club. Really?" I asked him in disbelief. He dragged me towards the bar and ordered drinks for us.

"You said you needed a drink. It was too tense at the party anyway. You can lose control here and nobody will judge you." He shrugged.

"No. Anywhere you go, there's always someone who'll judge you." I smirked at my smart remark.

He gave me a small smile. He grabbed my hand and pulled me towards him. I was standing between his legs. "You look really beautiful, Kyree. You look gorgeous, pretty, cute, lovely, irresistible, beguiling..."

I laughed at the last word. "Beguiling? What kind of adjective is that? It's like someone put a love potion in your drink and poof, you're love-struck."

"Maybe. Maybe someone just kissed me and I couldn't get her off my head after that." He was staring at me. I engraved in my mind the look he was giving me. It was intense... passionate. I was melting.

"Let's go dance." He stood. Our chests brushed from his action. He then slowly dragged me towards the dance floor.

The song was Lost Control by Alan Walker. It started out slow and we followed the rhythm. You would've thought the song was meant to be slow if you didn’t know it.

Keelan grabbed my arms and circled it to his neck. He put his hands around my waist. I swayed getting our body closer and closer until we were molded as one. As soon as the song dropped its beat, he twirled me around and pulled me roughly towards him, our chests hit and unseparated. I swayed my hips explicitly against him. His hands, as if they got a mind of their own, were insanely gripping my body and then roaming around against my skin.

He twirled me again but this time, my back remained in front of him. I continued to sway. Up, down, side, side. His lips were on my neck. The side where the hair was parted. Unconsciously, my hand went to his head seemingly dipping him towards me even more. His other hand skimming its way up until the side of my breast. He then turned me around so I could face him. I sang with the music at the same time.

I lost, I lost

I lost control again

Always do the same and I'm to blame

I lost control again~

I don't, I don't

I don't know who I am

Always do the same and I'm to blame

I lost control again~

"Fuck. I didn't know you could dance." He said as he looked at me adoringly with those emerald eyes. It felt like he was drunk... of me.

I grinned. "I could sing too you know." I joked and he chuckled. Our eyes glazed as we stare at each other.

He slowly dips his head and meets my lips.

I know that I'm a mess

But I ain't tryna be the best

So, whatever's coming next

I better pray~

Never said I was an angel

I am damaged all the way

So, whatever's coming next

I better pray~

The lights blinding us. The music deafening our senses.

I eagerly returned his kiss.

---

She was a fast machine

She kept her motor clean

She was the best damn woman I had ever seen~

She had the sightless eyes

Telling me no lies

Knockin' me out with those American thighs

Taking more than her share

Had me fighting for air

She told me to come but I was already there~

'Cause the walls start shaking

The earth was quaking

My mind was aching

And we were making it and you~

Shook me all night long

Yeah you shook me all night long~

The audience sang along with our version of You Shook Me All Night Long by AC/DC. Their hands waving in the air while swaying their bodies with the song.

Mace always wanted to play this song live. Dustin loved the guitar solo and he really showed his skills tonight. I could say it was always an epic comeback for us. The crowd really missed us with just how they were embracing our performance and cheering the band and even calling our names.

At the end of our performance, we played our original. It was the song I suggested to them to try and compose the song about the stars that I've seen from our camping trip. Caden was more than happy to make it and we chipped in a lot of ideas for it. I described the feeling I had when I stared at the night sky. It felt like I was connected to it. It was the first song we made as a band. Dustin was eager to play it tonight so we did. It wasn't our usual genre cause it was slow but we didn't expect anything more but relay our feelings to this song.

"Was that an original you just played?" Andrei suddenly appeared before us and bombarded us with his eagerness.

Dustin grinned. "Awesome, right?"

"Shit. That was amazing, man. It was emotional and you guys delivered it well." Andrei enthusiastically replied.

"Thanks for the really positive feedback, Drei. We didn't really expect anything. Dustin was just too excited to play this song." I said amused.

"I think I'm not the only one who thinks like that, Kai. Have you seen how the crowd reacted? Damn if only I could do more than just play the guitar." We chuckled at his remark.

"You own this club, Drei. Not everyone owns a club." We laughed at Mase's comment.

"Seriously though, I'm so thankful that you guys never get tired playing here. It's been what? Three? Four years? You four were still teenagers and now look at you all grown."

"C'mon, man. No need to be so emotional right now. You still owe us free drinks." Caden reminded him jokingly.

"Yes! Of course! Drinks for my favorite band." We were laughing and being playful on our way to the bar. A lot of people from the crowd greeted us, congratulated us even and gave us compliments. We were in a roll tonight and in a mood for celebration. I even decided to get wasted with them. I'll just call Remi to pick me up.

On my third drink, a guy sat at the stool beside me. I looked at him and judged his appearance. He was too formal to be here. He was wearing a suit jacket with white shirt inside, no tie. He was still wearing a brown coat. He probably won't stay longer and just leave right away after a few drinks. He looks to be in his late twenties or early thirties. He was quite good looking. I looked away realizing I was already staring. I drank my liquid in one gulp.

"Jeez. Slow down, will you?" Mace commented.

I smirked. "I thought we're going to celebrate. We just played our original with a positive response. We're going to get wasted tonight, bitch."

Mace grinned. "Back at you." As soon as my glass was refilled, we brought it up and toasted. Our glasses clinked. I then started singing.

Let's live like we're immortal

Maybe just for tonight

We'll think about tomorrow, yeah

When the sun comes up~

Dustin continued the song.

'Cause by this time tomorrow

We'll be talking 'bout tonight~

Caden and Mace then joined as we sang the song altogether.

Keep doing what we want, we want, we want

No more wasted nights~

"Whoohoo!" We burst into laughter with our antics. Andrei shook his head with a smile from the distance when he saw our little scene. He was probably jealous cause he was unable to join us. He was busy managing his club.

"I assume the last song was your original." I turned to the man who was seated beside me. I raised my eyebrow at him inquisitively.

"Sorry. My name is Darren West." He then offered his hand.

"Kai." I shook his hand.

"You were great back there. All of you."

"Thanks." I smiled although I was still skeptical about him.

"Listen. I'll be straightforward with you. I'm from a talent agency. I'm originally a talent manager but for now I'm acting like a talent scout. I look for talents like you, sign a contract and make them famous. I'm really impressed by your performance tonight. You guys know what you're doing and you're a really great singer. You have the looks, the charm, the talent, the voice. You guys are perfect. That's why I'm not going to pass this opportunity to offer you a spot in our entertainment industry."

I froze, dumbfounded at the flooded words he just said. I could feel my mouth unable to close from the shock.

"What?!" Mace screamed behind me
