Chapter 99: Chapter 99
Ava's POV
"Ready?" Robin said holding the car door out to me. Last night,I had discussed about seeing my pack with him when he brought Camila home and he had agreed.
I nodded. "Ready as I can ever be." I said and he smiled. I went into the car and he shut the door, got in and we left. Off to crescent wood.
We arrived a bit near the territory and Robin parked. Stealthily, we walked into the territory.
"I can't believe I'd one day have to sneak into my own pack house." I said in distraught.
"This too shall pass." He assured me.
We hid behind trees that prevented the guards assigned to guard the pack house to see us. Robin had rubbed onto his skin sweet smelling oil to prevent the guards from sniffing him out. Those same oils Skye had rubbed to sneak into the pack house just to see her.
Watching from the advantage spot that we where,I saw uncle coming out from the field with a bucket full of gravels.
I gasped at his sight. This wasn't the man I knew,this was a man inflicted with long time suffering.
Tears clouded my eyes as I watched him and the others subjected to nothing. Just then, a guard came out of nowhere and whipped his back. "Hurry up you retard bag of oats!" He yelled at my uncle and I felt anger in my chest.
I turned to leave the hiding spot and challenge the bastardized fool that had the nerves to humiliate my uncle.
Robin stopped me,pulling me away.
"Let me go. Do not stop me Robin. Let me go teach that sonofabitch a lesson he'd never forget in a hurry." I said struggling with him.
He refused. "No, Ava. We have to go now before we get spotted." He said holding me back.
"No, Robin. I can't go back,not after this." I said in anguish.
"We have to before Fernandez spots us. He shouldn't know you're back here or he'd definitely come after you.. Or the kids." He said.
The moment he mentioned the children,I had a change of mind. I didn't want to risk my children's life like I did in the past and I turned away leaving the scenario and haunted by doing the right thing.

"Fernandez has bitten more than what he can chew Robin." I said pacing the room in anger.
"He has really bitten the hand that fed him. He deserves death." Camila said.
"We'd deal with Fernandez the moment we have Natasha out of our way." Robin said.
"Anna,how did the painting go with the artist?" I asked Anna.
"Well. I shall bring to you the painting." She said going into the hallway and returning with a large sheet.
"Here,this is her. The artist got the description perfectly." She said handing the paper over to me and Robin and I took a look.
"I've seen this face somewhere before." Robin said in discomfort.
"Where?" I urged him to remember.
"I just can't lay my fingers on it." He said and slapped his forehead.
"Well,I shall go in search of her today with Anna. When you remember,I shall await your call." I said to him and he nodded.
I turned to leave when I heard Lucas voice. "Where are you going?" He asked.
"In search of someone. I'd be back before dinner." I said and walked away with Anna right behind me.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The search of the elderly woman proved fruitless and I felt frustrated.
"Why was everyone claiming not to have seen her or even know her?" I asked myself aloud.
Anna had gone to the other side of the street to do her findings. The sun had set and we needed to be back home. I walked towards the spot we agreed to meet back.
Suddenly,out of nowhere,a hand pulled me and I fell on steel muscled chest. I gasped and raised my head to take a look at who held me in such manner. Only one person could and I was not mistaken when my eyes met his.
"Funny how I want you far away from me but at the same time, still want you near." He said into my ears and the feeling he had created inside of me erupted once again.
"Then your heart seems to be telling you both the good and evil." I said to him as his lifted his head and his eyes fixed on mine.
"My heart tells me of good but you're a crescent, my head says otherwise." He said to me.
"These words sounds different and strange to me but I do not fear rejection." I said to him. I really do not fear rejection. He has never rejected me until Natasha came with her claims.
"My heart feels like it has known you forever when I've only met you the night before." He said looking intently into my eyes.
My heart melted at the thought that he still felt a connection with me but I decided to be stubborn. I won't remind him of me. He'd have to remember me on his own.
"Your heart might be playing devilish trick on you." I said to him.
"Will thy fair maiden at least give the young man her name?" He said in a strong British accent and I chuckled and pulled from his embrace.
"The young man would have to find that out himself." I said and turned to walk away but he pulled me back into his arms. I took a deep breath.
"Crescents have an habit of surrendering at anything." He said taunting me.
"I'm not surrendering." I said to him.
"Then your name." He said more determined.
I looked into his eyes and without a blink, "Ava White." I said and watched as the name registered in his head.
Anna's POV
I couldn't find the woman and I returned to the spot Ava and I had agreed to meet to find out if she had better luck than I and on getting there,I couldn't see her.
Where is she? I wondered. I turned towards another direction and saw Natasha with a murderous look on her face. I moved closer.
"What's going on? Why does this witch look so angry?" I asked myself aloud. I looked towards where she was focused on and I saw Ava in the arms of Skye. I gasped in shock. She has made herself known to Natasha. Trouble I smell.
Natasha walked away angrily and I advanced towards Ava. "My que..." I began and quickly corrected myself before Skye. "Ava." I called and she turned towards me as she left his arms.
She gave one last look at Skye. "Does it strike a memory?" She asked him noticing his change of expression. He stared at her and she curved a little smile. "I fear no rejection." She said to him again and walked away. He rejecting her while she was carrying his babies, had made her strong.
"There's trouble." I said as we were finally away from Skye.
"Trouble? What happened?" She asked perplexed. "Did you find the woman?" I asked her.
She shook her head. "I did not find her but I saw Natasha here moments ago." I said in agitation.
"What?" She exclaimed.
I nodded. "She saw you, Ava. She saw you with Skye." I said to her and she looked at me but her eyes were distant.
