Chapter 86: Chapter 86

Ava's POV

We unpacked the next morning and Robin made it easier for us by setting everything in place. An enemy turned friend. I smiled at my thoughts. He was really someone sent from above.

Camila walked down the stairs as I placed platters of bacon, eggs, devilled beans, and bread on the table.

"Done already?" She asked and I nodded. "Yeah. Luna and Lucas? Are they ready?" I asked her.

She pulled a seat. "Yeah. They'll be down in a minute." She said picking a piece of bread.

Just then, they both walked down, fresh from a bath and putting clean clothes on.

"That smells good," Lucas said with a huge grin on his face. He was going to grow up looking very handsome.

Luna nodded in agreement as she sat down in the chair I pulled out for her. She picked up a bacon and moaned in pleasure and Camila and I chuckled. "Way better than what Ria makes." She said.

I ruffled her hair. "Ria cooks well," I said to her.

"Well, you beat her to it," Lucas said.

I smiled at both of them as I sat down. "Well let's eat," I said.

A few minutes later, Luna burst out. "Did we leave the pack house because you and alpha Skye had a fight?" She asked innocently.

I swallowed. "Something like that. It's what grown ups do." I said to her as I felt my knees buckle.

"Was that why we were treated badly at the blood moon's house when we returned?" She asked again.

"Luna, stop talking and finish up," Camila said reprimanding her. I shook my head and reached for her hand across the table. "He didn't want that Luna. Certain things happened and when you grow up, you'd understand better." I said to her with a smile and she nodded and stopped asking questions.

I placed my two hands on the kitchen sink taking deep breaths. It was never going to leave me. As long as his name and the blood moon pack house are mentioned, I won't ever forget it neither would I forget him.

"Her words got you quite shaken right?" Camila said behind me. I looked up and gave a little nod and a smile. "I'll be fine," I said.

She sighed and hugged me close like she knew that was what I wanted. In her arms, tears welled up in my eyes and cascaded down. I knew I'd never be fine.

Skye's POV

I wondered what the hell Natasha was talking about. Ava. Now that I was thinking of it, it had a familiarity I just couldn't place my hands on. My head ached just trying to know where I'd heard the name from.

Natasha had left the room a few minutes later and as I walked down the stairs, I saw Michaelis walking in.

"Michaelis?" I asked in surprise. I haven't seen him since he married Hadley.

"I was just looking for you, alpha." He said as I reached the living room.

We shook hands and I gestured him to the couch. "What happened?" I asked him and saw Robin walk in on us. "Admiral." He said in respect.

"Beta Robin. Still the same old you." He said and Robin chuckled.

"Come join us, Robin. Seems Michaelis has something urgent to discuss." I said.

"And what may that be?" Robin asked.

"He hasn't told you?" Michaelis asked with a raised brow.

"Told him what?" I asked puzzled.

"About the killings of animals and a few humans in the woods," Michaelis said looking at me. "Don't tell me you forgot?" He questioned.

"I don't quite recall a thing about this. When did we discuss this?" I asked as I tried to recall but I couldn't.

"It was just..." Michaelis began but Robin interrupted him. "The thing is admiral, Skye here has no knowledge of what happened eight months ago due to an accident he still can't recall he had," Robin said.

I stared at him in shock. I had an accident? I wondered.

"The only memory he has is that of his childhood and that of early January," Robin said.

"That's surprising. How did this happen?" Michaelis said.

"Two days back." He said. Michaelis nodded. "Anyways, I've come to find out if the witch girl can help us in discovering the killings in the woods." He said.

"Witch girl?" I asked in surprise. What was going on? Too many secrets.

Robin gave a nod. "Come tomorrow and I'll hand her over to you." He said and Michaelis agreed.

"Alright, tomorrow it is. Ciao." He said as he walked away.

I turned to Robin once he was out. "I had an accident?" I asked him.

He sighed. "I didn't want to tell you but yes you did." He said.

"Why can't I remember anything?" I asked him.

"Because of the accident Skye. Don't worry Walter promised you'd be fine." He said.

I nodded and then I blurted out. "Who's Ava?" I asked still having the side of my head ringing that name. He stared at me in shock and I noticed color drain out of his face.

Robin's POV

I didn't expect it. I believed he had lost complete memory of her, why was he asking questions now? And how did he hear of her name?

"Who's Ava, Robin?" He asked again.

"I, I ... Where did you hear that name from?" I asked him.

"Nat," he said raising his hands in exasperation. "She came with that ridiculous name saying I was having an affair with her. I know I'm a flirt but I've never had anything to do with any Ava." He explained.

I breathe a sigh of relief. "Don't believe anything she says okay? There's no Ava in your life." I said and turned away to avoid further questions.

"But I've heard of that name before." He said and I paused. My heart raced. Did his memory about Ava not completely wipe?

"Where?" I managed to say.

"I just don't know but I feel I have." He said.

I nodded. "Any other place where you've heard her name?" I asked him. He shook his head. "Foolish of Nat to think I'd have an affair with someone of such a ridiculous name." He said.

I gave a small chuckle. "I don't believe so either," I said. "I'll be at the pack's clinic if you need me," I said and he nodded and I walked away. I exhaled once I got outside.

What he called a ridiculous name belonged to someone he went against all wishes to get married to. What he called a ridiculous name belonged to someone he loved with all his soul. I wanted to tell him this but I couldn't. Until I find out the truth, I couldn't do anything. I decided to call a pack meeting and make everyone understand that the mention of crescents or the name of Ava living in this house was prohibited.

Natasha's POV

As the moon shone brightly in the sky, I crawled into the den of Fernandez. We had a meeting cave that was far from the crescent's pack house.

"I believe you bring me good news?" He asked me as soon as I stepped in. He had gotten more people to work under his command, I thought to myself as I noticed more minions in the den.

"I do not know if it's good news or not but I bring news to you," I said.

"Speak." He commanded.

"Robin and Ava have succeeded in wiping out Skye's memory and Ava no longer lives in the pack house along with the other crescents," I said to him.

His expression was blank. "All of his memory?" He asked me.

I shook my head. "Just memories since when he met her," I said.

"Where is she?" He asked.

"No idea Fernandez but I do not think this is good. I want Skye to remember her and all his life should be full of hatred for her. I want him to die unhappy knowing that he was separated from his beloved and would never reunite again." I said in bitterness.

"Be a calm woman. You'd get all you want but you'll let the situation be as it is." He said and I stared at him in shock.

Fernandez POV

"What?" She questioned me and how I hated being questioned.

"Yes, Natasha. You'd let the situation be. It's a perfect one. You've succeeded in separating both of them and now she has used her hands to cause more havoc by wiping out his memory." I said with a smirk.

"What do you mean?" She asked.

"Patience woman and in time you'd know," I said to her and she nodded. This was good news to my ears. Ava has no idea what she has done. This was a great opportunity I'd been waiting for. Their separation was all I needed. Soon I'd be off this body and into mine. These meals weren't sustaining me any longer. All I needed now was to find Ava.
