Chapter 63: Chapter 63

Skye's POV

The battle had started and just like Ava predicted, the rogue wolves were in together with the demon king. I sighted Andrew fighting with one of the nightwalkers. I rushed towards them. "Leave this one to me," I said as I clashed swords with Andrew. He had a smirk on his face. "We meet again Skye." He said as we swung swords at each other.

"And I assure you, Andrew, you won't leave here alive," I said, my sword meeting his in the middle.

"Your fighting skills won't help you this time." He said.

"You ought to know by now that I would be merciless," I replied to him.

"Of course. Considering the loss of your arrogant father. His death was a pleasurable one for me and so will yours be today." He said smugly.

"Don't you dare speak about my father that way!" I yelled and in blinding fury, swung my sword in quick reflexes at him and he fought back. I turned around swiftly avoiding the sharpness of his blade as I struck him on his shoulder, giving him a deep cut. He stumbled back. "You will cease from breathing today," I said to him raising up my sword.

"Look," he said smugly. "Look around you Skye, your wife has turned against you all." He said.

I believed he was joking to distract me but I heard the cry of a crescent. "The Queen has gone berserk!" He yelled. I looked over and saw Ava fighting with her pack and Clark had an evil glint in his eyes as he watched her. She had those demon eyes again and knowing how strong she was, her pack won't survive her brutality.

I rushed towards her. "Ava!" I yelled and she stopped and glared at me. The demon aura was taking control and if she doesn't fight it, tonight she'd become a full devil. For a moment, her true self was revealed. "Help me, Skye." She pleaded and then, the flash was gone and she was back to the demon self.

She swung her sword at me and I narrowly escaped the thin blade of her sword. I went behind her in a rush and bent the hand she used in holding the sword behind her.

"Fight it!" I yelled in her ear. She struggled. "Fight it!" I yelled again. She gave me a back double kick and I stumbled. "Fight it!" I yelled at her. I could see her trying to as flashes of herself revealed. "Don't let the demon aura take over, Ava, fight it!" I yelled at her. Clark came over raising me up in the air.

"You won't ruin my plan blood moon." He said and with his other hand formed a ball of fire and threw it at me. "Fight it, Ava!" I yelled at her again. I did not mind losing my life as long as she returned to her normal self. I expected the ball of fire to have hit me by now as I shut my eyes but instead, I fell to the ground.

I looked up and saw Ava shooting a blue crystal ball in front of the ball of fire with all her strength in mid-air, stopping it from hitting me. Her eyes reflected the crystal sapphire she had during our wedding. She stumbled back and the connection of the crystal ball broke which shook the earth and everyone standing fell to the ground.

The crystal sapphire eyes were gone and the flaming eyes came again and she advanced toward me. "Please love, fight it," I whispered in her head as she raised the sword to strike me. Instead, I saw her rushing toward her father and her sword buried deep in his shoulder.

"You die tonight Skye," I heard Andrew's voice behind me and I turned sharply and saw him raising his clamber high and before he could strike me, I rolled over and kicked his leg. He stumbled back and I quickly reached for the sword that was a few feet away from me. I blocked the impact of his sword blade that was close to my face and I slowly rose up and pushed him back in full force.

We circled each other and fought a few more times but he was already weak from the cut of my blade on his shoulder and leg. "You know Skye when Ava was kidnapped by us," he began as he was limping in circles. "I had a taste of her luscious fruit." He said.

"What?" I asked in shock feeling a weakness.

"Yes, Skye. I had the pleasure of gazing at her nakedness, fixing my eyes on hers while my body feasted on hers." He said smirking.

"You're lying," it came out as a whisper. "Ava would never do that. You're lying!" I yelled. He was trying to rile me up, I told myself.

"I'm not Skye. She has a birthmark on her thigh." He said and I stood there motionless. He was right. Ava had a birthmark on her thigh.

"You bloody bastard," I said, anger surging inside of me.

"I had great pleasures with your wife Skye." He continued his taunting.

"Shut up!" I yelled at him.

"She is the sweetest..." He began but I didn't let him finish as I advanced towards him and struck him down to his death. He laid down with his eyes opened like the dead fowl he was.

Ava's POV

I struck my father but he disappeared. Then I heard his voice behind me. "I've been easy on you daughter but you've proved to be stubborn." He said. I looked over at him and saw him transforming into a very giant black snake and his eyes were a twin pool of darkness. How could such impurity beget a pure wolf I wondered?

My eyes were still flaming red, I was controlling the demon aura in me. I rushed toward him and he flung me aside. Skye rushed towards me. "Are you okay?" He asked and I nodded as he helped me to my feet. I felt a pain in my abdomen but said nothing about it.

My eyes met his with his hand still in mine and I felt my sapphire eyes appear and a new surge of energy flowed inside me. A rogue came forward to attack me and he pushed me aside as he struck his sword inside of the rogue, burying it deep in his heart. The demon aura I felt inside of me was gone as I rushed towards my father at the speed of lightning slashing every possible part of his snakeskin. My eyes returned to normal and my father fell as he transformed back to his human form laying dead on the ground.

The mark of the serpent was off a few wolves left in the fight and they had a look of wonderment on their faces. There I knew father manipulated them. A few wolves had escaped and we lost a few from the three packs too. A few of my pack fell by my sword and I felt bitter about it. Still yet the pack was happy at the death of the demon king. Skye ordered for the snake to be buried as he took along with him Fernandez and a few others. He stood there for a fleeting second staring at me before leaving with the others. I wondered what was going on in his mind.

It had finally ended. The era of the demon king. I had accomplished my chosen path. It was time to head home. The rest of the packs were returning to the blood moon house for jubilations and I met Anna on our way.

"Anna, what are you doing here?" I asked in surprise as the rest of the pack kept going towards the pack house.

"I just couldn't keep it to myself any longer my queen." She said panting heavily.

"What do you mean Anna?" I asked in bafflement.

"You're pregnant my queen. You have a set of twins in you." She said and I stared at her in shock. "What?"

I stood in my room watching the fireworks in the dark sky. I had returned to crescent woods. I held my stomach as I stared down at it. The signs were there, why didn't I notice them? I didn't plan for this. I planned to get married to Skye to get rid of the demon king but definitely not this. I didn't plan to get pregnant and now that I was... I was confused.
