Chapter 35: Chapter 35

Ava's POV

I walked down the stairs after putting on a clean shirt. I felt a little weak and wanted to lay back on the bed but I couldn't. I didn't want to keep my uncle waiting any longer.

I had seen the blood stains on the bed and I had felt abashed that I had opened up easily to him.

I saw my uncle sitting on one of the couches in the living room. He stood to his feet when he saw me.

"Uncle," I said going to hug him.

"Ava," he said holding me. We pulled apart and he sniffed me. "You've mated," he said to me and I shrugged and looked away. "Your scent is mixed with his. I can perceive the blood moon scent all over you," he said in disapproval.

I wanted to say something but I heard Skye's voice behind me. "Is that a crime to have the scent of a blood moon?" he asked and I turned to see him walking towards us.

He held me when he got closer. "After all, she's my wife," he said.

"Alpha," Uncle said in respect.

Skye nodded. "Phil," he said in regard too.

"You came on a short notice uncle, what is it?" I asked him.

"We've lost another crescent," he said, his eyes downcast.

I stumbled back in shock and Skye held me to prevent me from falling. I held onto him for support. "I wanted us to discuss about it, if you and Skye have come to a conclusion on the matter." uncle said.

"The blood moons will house the crescents for a short period of time till Ava comes up with a better plan," Skye said.

"You accept this?" Uncle asked, surprise evident on his face.

"Of course. How are we to unite the pack if we do not come together and besides, the blood moon mansion is large enough to house the crescents." Skye said to him.

"Gather everyone around immediately and bring them here. If anyone should refuse just because of their hatred for the blood moons, should be practically gagged and dragged to this place." I finally said regaining my composure.

Uncle gave me a nod and walked out of the house. "I sure hope this would work out fine," I said with a sigh.

Skye turned me in his arms and I was standing facing him. "Hopefully, we won't hear a blood moon murdered a crescent," he said. His hands were on my waist.

"And who said that is what could happen? I believe it's the opposite. A crescent murdering a blood moon." I said to him.

He let out peals of laughter and let go of me. "You think so?" he said in between his laughs. I rolled my eyes in annoyance.

"We fought y'all bravely one time," I said.

"That was one time really and we didn't come out fully with the whole pack on you all," he said still laughing.

I turned to walk away since he was getting on my nerves and he pulled me back into his arms. "Don't do that, love, it doesn't suit you," he said gesturing to the frown on my face.

"My pack is no longer weak," I said in defiance and he nodded still trying to suppress a laugh.

"I believe so. I mean you were brave enough to have a fight with us blood moons," he said.

"Keep talking about this and I'd knock out your front teeth," I said embittered.

"I believe you'd rather have me underneath you than that," he said seductively as he gave me a smug look.

I stared at him for a fleeting second and my heart flipped. He lowered his head to my neck which made my breath hitch as he placed a light kiss there. "There are still places I want to explore on your body," he said, his grip tightened around my waist.

"Forget it," I said in a husky voice. He let out a chuckle. "Let me know when the pack gets here, I'll be out for a while," he said releasing his hold on me.

"And breakfast?" I asked him as he walked towards the door.

"Eat without me, love. I'll have mine sent to me," he said. I rolled my eyes. It's not like we eat together, I said in my mind.

"I heard that," he said chuckling as he walked out the door.

••••• ••••• ••••• ••••• •••••

The whole pack arrived at the house just like I had instructed uncle. The blood moons got annoyed by their presence but could not speak to me.

Robin came out of the study room and saw my pack. His eyes were red with annoyance. "What is the crescent pack doing here?" he asked looking irritated.

"They are here to stay," I said, unafraid of him.

"What?" he asked in shock.

"Yes Robin and if you have a problem with it, then speak to Skye or you suck it up," I said to him.

He fumed in anger. "This would not be tolerated. The blood moons will not condone such an outrageous act from our so called queen," he said in anger.

"Do not speak. to her that way." Uncle said interfering.

I refrained him. "Don't speak on my behalf uncle," I said and turned back to Robin. "At least you get the fact that I am your queen. You have no choice but to respect my reign and order. And as your queen, I've decided to bring my pack here and you have no right in this matter." I said to him folding my arms across my chest.

"You have no right..." he began but was interrupted by the condescending voice of Skye.

"Robin," he said staring hard at him.

"She.." he began but Skye cut him short. "To the study room," he said and Robin turned around in anger to the study room.

"Get the pack comfortable, I'll be back," Skye said to me and I nodded.

Robin's POV

He walked into the study room and I was pacing around the room fuming in anger.

"How could you take such a decision without consulting me or the pack?" I asked in annoyance.

"I was going to inform the pack as soon as they arrive. You do not need to make a fuss out of this." He said to me.

"A fuss?" I said getting more angry. "You call this a fuss?" I demanded. "You took a decision solely on yourself without communication with the pack and you expect us to keep quiet about it?" I was indeed angry.

He stared at me. "I am still going to speak to the pack about this latest development," he said.

"That's cock and bull!" I yelled. "That should have been the first thing you should have done."

His expression was menacing when he glared at me. "Are you going to tell me what to do as the alpha of this pack?" he challenged.

I tried to calm my nerves. "I'm not in any way trying to do that. One crescent is trouble already, having a battalion of them is..."

"That's my wife you are talking about Robin," he said getting angry.

"I'm sorry." I apologized.

"Assemble the pack," he said to me and walked away. I knew from the moment Ava stepped into this house that things would change and like I expected it, things were already changing for the worse. I had perceived his scent on her which proved that they'd become intimate and I felt that she had charmed him and had him under her control.

Skye wasn't like this. When he takes a decision, he informs the pack before acting on it but now it was the opposite.
