Chapter 27: Chapter 27
Phil's POV
It was happening already. Her eye color changing proved the moon goddess has blessed her with powers. Blessed her leadership and her marriage. I should have known she was destined for this. There was no way I and my late sister, Delilah could have stopped it.
They both walked down the stairs and I walked up to her. Her eyes were yet to return to normal.
"Ava," I called her name and she hugged me tightly. I held her close. I still couldn't believe she has grown up so fast and won't be seeing her for a while.
She pulled away. "My eyes, uncle," she said sounding worried.
"Do not worry, you've been blessed, Ava," I said reassuringly.
Elder John came along examining her eyes. "In all my years of living, I've never seen anything like this. The prophecy didn't lie about the special abilities," he said.
Mary nodded. "The ancestors have blessed you for this cause you've taken upon yourself. Once the red sky is blue again, your eyes will return to normal," she said. Mary was the oldest in the pack and knew more about the prophecy much better than the rest.
Ava nodded. Camila came lowering on her knees. "The bags are ready alpha," she said. Ava pulled her up and smiled. "Hurry, I await you," she said.
The shadow pack had long been cleared off the territory. "I sense the alpha of the shadow pack won't keep it lying low that his son was beaten, he'll be coming," I said knowing that we have made a new enemy.
"He has the blood moon to contend with now," Skye said.
"Back off Sherlock, this is our fight and you don't need to interfere," Ava said to him.
"Interfere?" Skye scoffed. "I've pledged my protection already, Ava, you have no say," he said authoritatively. They were both at loggerheads. Camila returned with the bags and I hugged Ava one more time. "I'll be back," she whispered in my ear. I was surprised wondering what she meant. She pulled away and held my hand. "I entrust the pack into your hands," she said. I nodded and watched them all go out the door, my eyes on Ava hoping she wasn't making the same mistake as her mother.
Ava's POV
I wasn't planning on staying with the blood moons for as long as necessary, after all these will be done, I'll be back with the pack as their leader once again. I was seated in the backseat of the car with who for no particular reason was silent.
"The cat got your tongue this time?" I taunted.
"Unfortunately no, I was just thinking," he replied.
"Thinking of what?" I retorted.
"A lot of things. You know, I didn't get my wedding kiss and I'm thinking of several positions I could have you laying while doing that," he said having a devilish twinkle in his eyes.
I froze in shock. A mixture of fear and curiosity sank down my stomach and heat rose to my cheeks. "It would be your worst nightmare if you dare." I managed to say.
He laughed me off. "I have a feeling my queen, it would be the most exciting time of my life," he said. He was taunting me. It was obvious he was taunting me and I won't let him get to me. I won't give him the satisfaction of riling me up.

We arrived at the blood moons mansion, its territory marked with a flag of a black wolf and the mark of a red moon high above the wolf's head. The blood moon's territory was grudgingly beautiful with tall olive trees surrounding the house and a wide space filled with gravel.
The interior was almost similar to the White House but much wider with silvery chandeliers and hard marble floors. One long staircase was leading to a passageway that obviously had different wings.
Skye led Camila to a room and me to another.
"This is where you'll be Ava, your room is opposite mine. In the morning I'll introduce you to the pack," he said as I walked into the room. It was dimly lit ad the color on the wall was royal blue. It was obviously once a female's room.
I stood in the middle of the room and turned to him folding my hands across my chest.
"So what then?" I demanded.
He chuckled. "Leave you to rest and in a few minutes be back for my wedding kiss," he said.
"You wouldn't dare," I said frowning.
"Let's see. " he chuckled again and walked away.
I huffed still standing in the middle of the room. "The fool," I said under my breath.
Skye's POV
I returned back to the room to find her by the window side in a long dress and her hair in a ponytail.
"What do you want Skye?" she questioned. I could just get used to her calling my name all the time.
I smiled. "Need I remind you that you owe me a kiss," I said to her. "Curse the priest for skipping that part," I muttered under my breath.
She walked a few steps toward me. "You will not be getting it," she said defiantly.
I walked up to her and held her waist pulling her closer to me. Her breath hitched. "That is one thing you can't stop me from having," I said.
She turned me aside and in a swift had me pinned to the wall. Her hand was beneath my chin. She smiled devilishly. "Who has got the upper hand now?" she asked.
I smirked grabbing her swiftly and pinned her to the bed. She let out a gasp.
"Perhaps I need to tell you, I have more years of training than you do. I was seven then and you were probably four still playing with your teacups and kettles." I said. She curved another devilish smile and attempted to kick me in between with her knees. I caught it right on time and smirked as I placed her leg over my back. "That's where it rightly belongs," I said.
"Get off me," she said struggling and attempting to scratch me with her nails. I pinned her hands above her head. "Get off me," she said again.
"I'm afraid I can't," I began, leaning my face closer to her neck, and I breathed in the scent of her after bath. "Every male part of me wants to lie on this body," I trailed the side of her face with my nose inhaling her scent. She took in a sharp breath as I found her ears and whispered. "Every part of me craves to have you lying on my bed with my lips kissing and caressing every inch of your beautiful body," I said sensually.
I knew I had an impact on her but she was just too resilient. She writhed underneath me as I leaned closer to her face and my lips entangling hers in a sweetness I have never felt with any other.
I pulled away and saw the innocence in her eyes. Was I her first? I wondered.
"You.." she cursed and I chuckled and slowly got off her.
"See you in the morning, my queen," I said and gave a slight bow. I walked out of the room not before hearing her say. "Bastard."
I chuckled.
Andrew's POV
"The heaven signifies the marriage has taken place," he said to me and I nodded.
"Information came to me that both packs have accepted the marriage," I said to him. He was hidden in the dark, his usual position where he could not be seen.
"Her prowess?" he asked.
"She's a good fighter," I said to him and he remained silent. "We should have stopped the wedding," I said to him.
"No. It is a good thing it took place," he said with his booming and masculine voice.
"But with this..."
"Enough," he said authoritatively. "What is done is done. You know the blood moons well, keep an eye on her," he said to me and I nodded and left him in peace.
