Chapter 13: Chapter 13
Skye's POV
The night walker pack was quite hospitable to me when I arrived at their pack house. The house was exquisite and the feast hosted in my name was indeed quite fabulous.
The ladies in very exposing dresses frolicked around me and were getting me aroused to the disapproval of Eros who was trying to make me understand that we had, I mean, he had a mate, Ava White. A courageous, beautiful, fierce, and an enigma I was struggling so hard to accept as my mate.
I wanted to forget her despite my wolf swearing to protect her after finding out she could be in possible danger. I was not yet convinced about the whole thing despite my knowledge that my father never lied. His books were always the truth about life but I still had doubts. I was rejected by my mate, there was no reason I had to stop myself from having a good time.
The feast continued till dawn and I awoke seeing two stark naked ladies curled up in my arms. I looked around in bafflement wondering how they got in my bed.
The discarded clothes on the floor reminded me vividly of how they ended up in my bed. They were at the party and were all over me. Pushing the thought of Ava off my mind, I gave in. I rolled off the bed and the ladies sighed romantically as I pulled away. I put on my shirt and felt a splitting headache, due to the much liquor I had last night.
I walked towards the window and one of the ladies called out to me. "Come to bed darling, you were like a stallion last night," she said seductively as the other girl woke up and giggled.
"Leave," I said without humor.
"C'mon darling, won't you like.." the first lady began to speak again.
"I said leave," I ordered in a growl and turned around with a scowl on my face. Eros's eyes flashed and they scrambled off the bed picking up their clothes.
"He's so vicious."
"What a temper."
"Yet still handsome." They conversed as they hurriedly left the room.
I looked back at the window and sighed. I did not cheat on Ava, did I? After all, she rejected me. But, I did not reject her in return. It's still cheating! Eros yelled in my head.
'I warned you about it last night. Did I not?' Eros demanded in my head, and I shrugged.
'Let the issue go, Eros. It does not really matter,' I said to him telepathically.
'It does matter, Skye. You know that as well. What if she knows what you did? We've lost a chance with her! We've lost, I tell you!' he raved in my head.
'Point of correction, you have lost, not me. I do not care if she finds out. Let me be,' I said to him. But, I knew I was lying to myself and Eros. It would hurt me greatly, and I did not know why.
For hell sake, she fucking rejected me! Why on earth was I still thinking of her? Why? I groaned as I asked myself all these questions.
'Keep lying to yourself, Skye. Just keep doing it, and let's see if you'll feel good while doing it,' Eros hissed in my head.
'Whatever you say, Eros, and please, for the last time, let me be,' I said to him as I walked out of the room. But, he kept talking and talking till I shut him out.
I walked into the study of El Ontario the alpha of the night walker pack and saw him seated between three women. His hands around two of the nearest women's waist. I smirked. I guess the alpha was more into women than I thought.
He turned his attention to me when he noticed my presence. "Ah, You're here already," he said and I nodded with a small smile.
He signaled to the ladies to leave as I advanced toward the couch. They giggled as they walked away. Russian ladies were quite beautiful, I admired them as I watched them leave as they swing their behinds.
"Our women fascinate you, hmm?" El Ontario asked smiling.
"They're most likely beautiful," I answered smiling in return. He chuckled as he readjusted his suit.
"They are indeed, alpha. Did you enjoy the feast?" he asked with a smile.
"I must confess, the Russians do know how to treat a guest," I said with a small smile.
He laughed. "That's what I hoped to hear. Now let's get back to business," he said and I nodded. "My pack and I would like to set down a building along the coast side and we know that can't be done without your permission. So I brought you down here today to ask you of this. What do you think of this? What's your say?" He said seriously.
I placed both hands on the desk. "Is this building going to be of benefit to my people and the humans around the coast?" I asked.
He nodded almost immediately. "Sure. Of course yes. It will be of benefit to us all." he said.
I leaned back in the seat. "Good. I'll take you up on your request on one condition." I said, and he raised a brow.
"Which is?" He asked.
"The rogues are on the loose but still haven't struck. All I want in return is an alliance with my pack to help when the need arises." I said to him.
El Ontario leaned back in his seat. It was obvious he was contemplating on my words. It was not going to be easy fighting with the rogues who called themselves the Redemption. Many wolves will lose their lives from this cause. The alpha's brow furrowed in deep thought. Then he finally said. "We'll call the seer to come to reveal if this is a good cause," he said. Seer? What did he mean? I pondered as I stared at him in puzzlement.
