Chapter 115: Chapter 115
Ava's POV
The training lasted till midnight before Skye allowed everyone to retire to theirooms for the battle ahead.
The morning came more quickly than expected but the pack warriors did not look like they lacked sleep. It must be that Skye had done this before.
He addressed the pack concerning the battle with the demon king. A few warriors were assigned to guard the pack house with all their strength.
We were ready, dressed, swords in our hands, ready for the battle that had taken place six years ago happening again.
Just then a blast of wind sent many of the pack warriors flying off. I heard a burst of evil laughter and looked to see father appearing mid air.
This was just after noon and he had taken us by surprise. "I told you I'd be back." He said smirking.
Skye and I readied our swords and stood side by side.
I wondered how he got his body.
"Do not be surprised that I am in my body. This is all that I have planned." He said.
"I buried you," Skye said to him.
"I dug my body out that same night through Fernandez and I placed my body in my den, nurturing and caring for it till I got it back," he said and threw off other pack warriors. "All I needed was a touch of a young and pure child which turned out to be Davina and I went to my den in her body and touched mine. I have revived again." He said.
"I promise you Clark, this time I shall make sure you remain dead," Skye said and advanced towards him. Before he could get to him, he threw him off and he ended up falling into a tree.
"Skye!" I yelled in fear.
"I could do this all day," Father said chuckling.
"Why don't you want to be repentant, father?" I asked, turning towards him. "I gave you a chance. I believed in you to change but you did not." I said to him.
"I am a demon, Ava." He said smirking.
"I'm giving you one more chance to repent and be cleansed of your sins. I'll forget you enslaved my pack and possessed my daughter. I'll forget you got rid of Anna's powers. I'll forget about everything." I said to him, my sword still in my hand and alert.
He laughed. "I am a demon king and demons do not change." He said and threw a ball of fire my way. I jumped out of the way before it could hit me.
He stood there laughing. "This is going to be fun." He said.
Minutes rolled by, and hours rolled by as the pack warriors, Skye and I tried to defeat father but we could not.
"If I could transform? You all would be dead by now." He said as flung my sword with a blast of wind away.
"I'll still make sure that you all die today." He said. "Then, I'll go after the whole of your pack. The people you love so much and your children." He said with a malicious look.
Skye growled in anger and rushed towards him. He flung Skye's sword from his hand, held him in mid air, and threw him to the ground.
Skye got up on his feet. I rushed towards Clark and he held me in a position and I couldn't move.
He held Skye in his other hand and sank his teeth into his neck. Skye yelled in pain and he threw him off.
Clark laughed and threw me off too. I rushed to Skye as tears formed in my eyes. I held him in my arms. "Skye, are you alright? Speak to me please." I pleaded the tears finally dropping down my cheeks.
He closed his eyes and forced them open. "Ava," he said weakly.
"I'm not going to let you fight in this way, let's.." I began but he stopped me.
"Do not say it, Ava. Today, we shall end this. We must." He said groaning.
He struggled to get up and picked up his sword. I looked behind me ad saw the sun was going behind the horizon.
"We must end this, Ava," Skye said encouraging me despite being in pain.
Clark laughed. "You cannot survive my poison, Skye. I cannot transform but I still have my venom and I have deposited it in you." He said and I gasped.
Skye stumbled and I held him. "Skye," I said emotionally.
"Do not listen to him. I am alright. We must not let him get to us." He said trying to be strong but he was failing. "Get your sword, Ava. Get it." He ordered me and I reached for it.
"Pathetic," Clark said mocking us. "I'll get rid of all of us before..." He stopped and stared in shock. "No, it is not possible. It cannot be." He said and I looked up to see the blood moon arising. This would make him weak.
He stumbled back. He tried to disappear but couldn't. It was like the little power he had was shut down.
W advanced towards him. Even his telekinesis had little effect on us.
Skye stumbled along the way and I held him to myself. "We must..we must get through this." He insisted in determination. "For the sake of our children." He said and I felt my heart ripped apart. Was I going to lose him?
Anna's POV
"Why can't you do anything?" I asked the sorcerer as we all stood by the window watching.
"This is all I can do for the pack house. The rest is up to them." She said. Up to them? It didn't look like they could defeat the demon king.
Skye was growing weak and I could see it.
The demon king couldn't move either. He was rooted to the spot. By who? I suspected it to be the ancestors.
Hand in hand, under the blood moonlight, they thrust the sword into Clark and he stood in shock as he spluttered blood and fell to the ground.
My body vibrated and I felt an old feeling in me. Mariya smiled. "You have your powers back witch. The death of the demon king has restored your powers. Now, your destiny shall take its full course." She said.
I looked at my hands in shock and tested my powers and truly they were back. My joy knew no bounds.
"Get the torches! Bring the alpha immediately inside!" I heard Mariya's voice as she moved out the door.
I followed her and there was Skye fallen on the ground and Ava gave a shrill cry as she sobbed.
