Skye's POV

I was absolute correct that they knew something about Ava. I tossed around in my bed. What was all these images? Why do I feel they have a connection with Ava? Is she from my past life? Why did I hear the pack members whisper 'she's back?' What' going on? Different thoughts which I knew not the answer ran through my mind. What am I to do? One thing I knew for sure was I couldn't possibly reject her. My heart won't let me.

The next morning,I walked down the stairs and saw Robin coming out of the study room.

"Robin." I said with a sense of greetings.

"Having a pleasant morning Skye?" He asked me and I nodded. "There's a ball in town tonight and we all have to go with a partner." I said.

"Okay,so what then?" He asked.

"Since you know Ava well,do well please to take the dress folded in my room up to her. Tell her the alpha would like to invite her specially to a ball." I said and he grinned.

"As the alpha pleases. I'll do so well to pass your message across to her." He said in enthusiasm and I smiled and gave him a pat on the shoulder and walked away.

I had forgotten my last night worry and all I wanted was to meet my mate again. The one who kept calling my heart despite being an enemy.

Robin's POV

I walked into Skye's room and found Natasha putting on the dress Skye had asked me to send to Ava.

I became enraged by the sight. "How dare you put on the clothes belonging to the queen?" I demanded.

She laughed. "I am the queen of this pack. This dress belongs to me Robin." She said.

"You know too well who I refer to as queen. If you know what's good for you, you better take off this dress or..."

"Or what Robin?" She interrupted staring at me with venomous eyes. "You'd rip my throat out? I'll like to see you try." She said.

"Wearing this dress won't make him glance at you twice. He already knows who is heart desires. Six years ago, he desired her and now,he desires her again. It's a bitter pill Natasha but someday you'd swallow it." I said to her turning away.

"And some day you shall eat your words." She said after me but I ignored her and left the room. Left the pack house and went to Ava's place.

I got to the house and found her with Anna outside.

"What is it Robin? You do not look too well pleased." She said.

I nodded. "Natasha found a way to ruin my afternoon." I said to her.

"What did she do?" She asked.

"Skye wants you to be his date to a ball in town," I began and saw her eyes glow. "He asked for a dress to be sent to you and I think Natasha overhead and took the dress for herself." I explained.

She chuckled. "It's not funny my queen." I said to her.

"But it is," she said still chuckling. "He still finds a way to treat me just like in the past but there's no need to worry. I'll wear one of those dresses he gave me years ago." She said taking no offense in what Nat has done.

I sighed. If she isn't angry then I shouldn't either. "We'd be going in search of the woman in the picture again." She announced.

I thought for a while and then it strucked me. Why didn't I recall it earlier. "I remember where I've seen her." I said.

She had a look of joy in her eyes. "Do tell me Robin." She said.

"We won't find her around where we've looked before. She owns a store way down the street before Glasgow. It's called 'wonders of magic'. I had gone for an affair concerning the pack and she had urged me to take a look at my fortune and I obliged." I explained.

"What are we waiting for,let's hurry." Anna said.

I nodded.

"But I can't leave the children alone. Camila is not too much of a warrior in case something happens and Lucas hasn't undergone much training yet." Ava said.

"I'll stay back then. You and Anna should find her. Call me if you have any problem locating the place." I said and they both agreed.

I tossed my car keys over to Ava and she caught them. Muttering a thank you,they advanced towards the vehicle and drove away. I turned into the house.

Ava's POV

Locating the place Robin explained was not that difficult. The sign on the store 'wonders of magic' was exactly what Robin had said. Though it was a bit rusty and old now.

Anna and I alighted from the car and walked towards the store.

Getting in,the door creaked and made scary sounds. Guess it was a way to make the people believe it was just a 'make believe'.

The interior had all kinds of voodoos. Voodoo dolls,herbs,dead animals. What in God's name convinced Robin to come in here?

Anna ran her fingers across the shelf of Voodoos. "She has quite a collection." She said. Quite a collection indeed. I thought to myself.

Just then, from the adjoining room, the woman walked out of it. The moment she saw us,she froze. I had a guess she was going to escape. But I was wrong. Instead,she sighed and walked closer.

"The ancestors have made me understand that this day will come and I won't be able to escape it." She said and I noticed as she walked,she limped.

"Which means,you know why we are here." I said to her and she nodded.

"It's on the respect of the atrocity old me committed five years ago." She said as she advanced to to a stool. "Please sit alpha." She said pointing to two other empty stools.

"How'd you know I'm an alpha?" I asked her.

"I know you quite well alpha of the crescents and queen of the blood moons." She said. "Please sit." She urged again.

Anna and I walked towards the stools and got seated. Eagerly awaiting what she had to say.

"I'm Helene and sometime ago,a woman approached me to help her on something. At that time,I was in huge debt. No one comes to the store in believe that everything about the supernatural is not real. She offered me huge bags of money that I didn't bother to know if what I was doing was wrong." She said and sighed long again.

"Her name is Natasha." I said to her and she nodded.

"She wanted to find someone that would only tell her the cause of Skye's mother's death and how to prove it which I did but it wasn't entirely the truth." Hellene said.

"What then is the truth?" Anna asked her.

"It's indeed true that the journal of Skye's father contains the truth but the real truth was concealed and only the lies appeared." She said looking at me.

"How?" I asked her.

"Your mother is not responsible for Skye's mother's death. Even Nicholas his father,got to know but it was already too late. He had retaliated against your mother already." She said and I gave her a surprised and puzzled look.

"Is this all in the journal?" I asked her.

She nodded. "Yes but it has been concealed. I gave her a concealing potion to hide the truth and reveal only the lies she wanted known. Everyday of my life since then,I've known no peace. The ancestors even abandoned me but I'm glad that I could do what's right before I die." She said looking sad and I almost felt sorry but her lies had almost ruined my life.

She stood up from the stool and went to one of the shelves. She picked up a bottle and turned towards us. "This is a revealing potion. A drop of this on the book will reveal the whole truth." She said again and I stood up and walked over to her.

She handed the bottle over to me. "I'm sorry I ruined your home for my own selfish reasons." She pleaded.

I held her wrinkling hands. "My life hasn't been easy then but thank you for saying this to us today." I said to her and she managed a smile. "But this won't be enough. When I need you,I'll like you to come testify. Will you do that for me?" I asked her.

She nodded. "Anything to make the ancestors forgive me for my atrocity." She said and I gave her a pat on her hand.

"I have one question," Anna said as I let go of Helene's hands. "How did you manage to cloak her lies,made me see what I had to see and made it look like the truth?" She asked Helene.

Helene shook her head. "I didn't do that. I've told you the only thing I did believe me." She said looking honest.

"Then there must be someone else Natasha is in on this with." I said and Anna nodded in affirmation.

Anna stood up to her feet. A sign that we have to go. "We'd be leaving now. Thank you." I said to her and she nodded.

Anna and I turned to leave. The moment we got to the door,I stopped and turned to her. "If my mother isn't responsible for Skye's mother's death, then who is?" I asked her.

She smiled sadly. "The demon king." She said and I stood there frozen to the spot feeling helpless.

Anna's POV

It was about five PM when we got back to the house. The look on Ava's face still showed that she was worried about what Helene said to her.

How much more havoc will her late father cause her? How much more? I wondered.

We got into the house and saw Camila doing the dishes. "How did it go?" She asked the moment she saw us.

I nodded as she wiped her hands clean with a napkin. "Very well Camila. We've gotten the truth. Natasha has been lying." I said and she let out a gasp and a sound of joy.

"Where's Robin?" Ava asked.

"Upstairs with the kids." She replied.

Just then Robin walked into the kitchen. "I saw the car pull up in the driveway and a scream. What happened? Did it pull through?" He inquired.

Ava nodded. "We've got a potion to reveal the truth on the journal. My mother didn't kill Skye's mother but my father did." She said with a sigh.

"Why are you so sad then, Ava?" Robin asked.

"What difference does it make? One of my parents still murdered his." She said sadly.

Robin walked closer to her. "It makes a difference, Ava. Do not feel sad but your father is a demon and Skye knows that. That's not an issue and is not going to be an issue." He assured her.

She finally smiled and nodded. "So what are we going to do now?" She asked.

"Since you'd be going on a date with Skye, it's an opportunity for us,I and Anna to go in and reveal the truth on that journal." Robin said.

"And the children? What do we do?" Camila asked.

"I'll cast a protection spell on the house before we leave." I said and everyone agreed. Everything was concluded. It was time to carry out the plan.
