Chapter 84: Chapter 84

Things click between mates instantly; within a week or two, they mark each other, and by the end of the month, they even get their mates pregnant if they want to.

When Alaric told him that she loved him, Theodore couldn’t understand how he could tell that so confidently, but now that he used to recall her ways of conveying her feelings, he cursed himself for never reciprocating her feelings.

‘One doesn’t have to shout loudly to admit that ‘they love you.’ They can express it through their eyes, their behavior, their care, and concern.’

‘After breaking her heart and trust… I wonder whether she will ever trust me again.’ Theodore thought. He could bet that when he would say that ‘I love you’ to her, she wouldn’t believe him. She would think that he was there to use her to get the hand of her brother’s pack, her parent’s property, and many more. ‘But I will show you that I won’t hurt you ever again. I will never.’

He went into her other room and smiled, looking at her book collection. He recalled Alaric mentioning to him that he should gift her a library like just the Beast gifted to his beauty to tease him but now he didn’t feel that was a bad idea.

‘I will gift you your best friends one day, Lia. I promise you that.’ He thought. He didn’t know when Liara would return, so he just couldn’t stay there and wait for her. He had to find her on his own. After all, how hard would it be to find her when her father was a famous name in the human world? Not just that, even her sister Tiara Haysbert was a famous Hollywood Actress.

Thinking about her sister, Theodore remembered how Liara was insecure about the thought of her mate choosing her sister over her.

He grabbed her phone from his phone and dialed Alaric’s number, “I need your help.”

“At least, ask me how my punishment is going on?” Alaric complained. “We have received a six-month warning that we will go anywhere near any pack or hurt any werewolves, then will be released in the sunlight.” He said on his own, knowing on his own because he knew Theodore wouldn’t ask about it.

“You’re so lucky that you’re dead in front of everyone’s eye because if not, then you would have received the punishment of death from the king of both worlds.” Alaric kept speaking, forgetting about the fact of what Theodore had said.

“It will be better if you will live in the human world for a while, like a human. In that way, you will also stay alive.” Alaric suggested. “My great-grandson, Zach Grismer, will help you in adjusting to the human world along with other things like a passport or any other identity card. He is a human, but he knows about us, so you don’t have to worry about that part.”

“The best part is that Zach will be the bridge between you and Tiara Haysbert because they have signed some upcoming movies together recently. And with the help of Tiara, you can reach Liara because she is the only one who knows nothing about you, and also she keeps herself away from supernatural things. Now, let me know anything else that I can help you with?”

Theodore was taken aback, knowing that Alaric was trying to solve the problem of his life even though he wasn’t by his side. Hell, he had also planned everything because a part of him knew that Theodore was the worst in all these things. All he knew was to kill someone.

Hell, without Alaric, Theodore felt so lost in the human world, just like an Alien.

“I… I have learned recently that I should learn to appreciate every moment before it is gone.”

“Okkkkayyyyyyy!!”

“You’re my best friend, Alaric.” Hearing this, Alaric checked his phone a couple of times to see whether it was working fine or not. “And I just wish I’d always treated you in that way before today.” Alaric felt like he would cry at any moment after hearing Theodore’s words. This was the first time he had admitted something like that.

A/N: It's my father's third death anniversary today. There is a small function at home, so there won't be any part at night. (Though I will try).
