Chapter 67: Chapter 67
Liara looked at the girl in the mirror who might look beautiful, but she was not at all happy. She didn’t have any problem with the girl who did a ton of make-up, waxed her useless hair, etc., etc., to enhance her beauty, but she always liked being natural. Hell, she never got her eyebrow done and was comfortable with her skin because she really believed that ‘beauty holds in the eyes of the beholder.’ And the same thing her mother had taught her.
Looking at the girl in the mirror, she didn’t feel like herself. She stopped looking at herself and went into her lab to get what she needed for tonight.
First, she grabbed the perfume that Caroline had given her to mask her scent in case of an emergency. She didn’t know what that emergency counted, but Destiny wanted to meet her mate for the last time, and Liara wanted to fulfill her last wish. She didn’t have any hope or expectation from him, but Destiny had. She had believed in their mate bond. She had believed in the choice of the Moon Goddess.
‘Here is only one bottle of that perfume. Where is the other one?’ Destiny questioned Liara. They clearly remembered that Caroline had given them two pocket-size perfumes to mask their scent. Since the bottles were made of glass so, just for safety reasons, she had gifted each perfume with spells in a pair.
‘There is be only one who could have taken it after all we had told him about it.’ Liara said with a frown.
Earlier, the plan was that Liara had to go to the place where he would call but knowing that a lot of people had a habit of keeping an eye on her, Kane changed the plan, and as per the new plan, Kane was going to visit her on her floor, in her room, after everyone would be asleep.
‘Let’s go and meet our mate.’ Destiny insisted before Kane would land at her place. Liara didn’t say anything and grabbed another bottle of perfume too. After that, she went back to her study room. She didn’t miss how a female guard always used to come to check on her after an interval of a few minutes.
Liara turned off the lights and went to bed under the blanket.
When she observed that the guards had stopped coming near her study room to check on her, she silently arranged her teddy under the blanket and used a perfume of her scent over there in such a way that it would give a vibe of her presence while she masked her scent.
Her heart was pounding loudly against her ribcage because she was playing this hide and seek for the first time, and she didn’t have an option of getting caught. She opened the window and looked down.
‘My legs will surely break after jumping from the fourth floor.’ She thought in tension.
‘Don’t worry. I will heal you. Just make sure that you don’t have to start crying in pain.’ Destiny motivated her.
Without thinking much, Liara jumped from there. She quickly pressed her palm on her mouth before a cry would have escaped from her mouth because her bone literally broke because of her move. She quickly moved a little back and hid behind the bushes for a while until fully received.
Little did she know, she ended up making a mistake by leaving the window open in her room, but that didn’t click in her mind at that moment.

Theodore was waiting for Kane to leave his office. He was planning to get a hand on him before he would reach Liara, but his heartbeat rose when he sensed HER around. He couldn’t help but looked for her and finally found her hidden behind the tree. It looked like even she sensed him, and their eyes met.
‘Why is he hiding over there?’ Liara thought, finding him on the tree. ‘Obviously planning and plotting something. He doesn’t give a damn whether we live or die.’
‘Stop saying like that.’ Destiny whimpered, not liking the words that Liara was using for their mate, but she didn’t blame her. She knew that Theodore had broken her trust. Not just that, the fact that he sat behind quietly, letting his only friend die, was something that they both didn’t appreciate at all.
“Start looking everywhere. She is not in her room.” Her head turned in the direction of the voice when she heard this.
‘Oh no!!’ She shook her head in tension and looked around before trying to climb a tree, but she failed miserably. ‘I wish I would have learned this.’ She cried mentally; she was so engrossed in climbing the tree that she failed to notice that someone saw her and was silently walking toward her.
‘This girl!!’ Theodore facepalmed and ran in her direction. In the next second, she was almost like flying against the wind, and in the other next second, she was in the men’s washroom.
“What are you doing here, looking like….” Theodore looked her up from top to bottom. Her straight hair had been curled from the bottom, and her eyebrow and upper lips were done and making more things that he didn’t know the name about. Well, it was his teacher who could be blamed for it. She looked good but fake, and the fact that she wasn’t ready for him, but someone else was boiling his blood already. “.... a slut?” He finally questioned with a poker face.
