“I didn’t know that, just like your wolf; even you talk so much,” Kane said sarcastically when Liara reached his office.

“I’m sorry, Alpha.” She apologized.

‘As if we care.’ Destiny scoffed and licked her paw by sitting behind Liara’s mind. She never liked Kane. No, not did he do anything wrong to her, but his attention brought trouble in her human life. It had been years since he was showing his interest in her, and Liara was doing the just opposite to make him realize that she wasn’t interested in him at all.

But the fact that the Alpha Heir had an eye on her created a lot of she-wolves, Liara’s enemies, because they wanted the attention that Liara was getting without doing anything.

“What happened? why are you not speaking now?” He questioned, on which Liara stayed quiet, looking at the floor. She watched him standing on his feet and reaching near her. I would have….” Before his words would have been completed, Liara pushed him away and looked at him in anger.

“You’re crossing your line, Alpha Kane. What… what I do in my life is none of your business.” She said in a low tone.

Liara’s eyes widened in shock when Kane revealed this. She didn’t know that he was aware of this fact, but if he was aware of this news, then why did he hide it from everyone? He could have told about it in front of everyone in the pack.

‘That bastard…’ Destiny growled in her mind. “Or, come here….” He dragged her to show her something. “Or…my men will kill him in front of your eye at my order, and this time you won’t be able to save him,” he said with a small evil smile, and Liara watched how everyone was ready to attack him while Alaric looked clueless about it.

Tears dwelled in her eyes when she realized that, at that moment, she didn’t have any other choice than to save Alaric’s choice, and even Kane knew about it.

“Your brother is already here. Talk to him that you’re interested in me and want to choose me as your chosen mate.” Kane whispered in her ear and then kissed her earlobe softly. Liara closed her eyes in anger and helplessness and also because she was feeling disgusted by his touch. “You will do that, won’t you?” he asked, to which she nodded her head.

That’s the best thing about you that you’re a submissive.” Kane said, patting her head because of her short height compared to him. “And don’t you dare you play smart by thinking that he is out of the pack, then he is out of danger because he is still in my hostage.” He said and dialed a number to show a live video call where Alaric was in a cell now.
