Liara wore a white high-neck and full sleeves top, matching with black denim jeans. Still, there were some hickey marks on her cheek that couldn't be hidden, and since she didn't have any makeup products, she couldn't hide them at all.

So, before going downstairs and finding Colton, she looked for fast food that she used to store with herself because she was damn too hungry, and Destiny needed the energy to hide all these marks.

It took her some time to prepare Samyang Ramen Noodles and eat it as soon as possible. She wanted to hit her head on the wall when she was unknowingly finding each and every reason to think about Theodore.

'Still, that was the first day when he had shown some emotions while eating.' Destiny said and recalled how he was looking for something sweet things to eat after 3X Spicy Noodles. He was sweating badly, and not just his tongue but also his lips and the area around his mouth were burning like fire.

A small smile appeared on her face but soon disappeared, too, when she recalled Colton's anger toward him for misinterpreting all the things. Well, she didn't blame him for that. If the same situation would have been at Tiara's apartment, then everyone would have guessed that she had had sex and... unlike her sister, she was considered naive and innocent.

When she reached downstairs, she sensed the vampire's scent, and a lot of people were standing, forming a circle and watching something.

'What is happening there?' She asked in tension in fear. She was positive that it wasn't her mate because she recognized his mate's scent in the same way in which a pup knew who was his or her mother.

'Calm down, and let's see what is happening there.' Destiny said, and they started running toward the crowd. Her eyes widened when she saw Alaric. She had never got a chance to smell his scent because he used to keep his scent hidden then... then how come he got caught?

Fuck! She didn't have much time to think about the question at that moment. She quickly rushed toward him. Thankfully, Colton was also standing there, so she knew what she had to do when she saw the sword in the air.

She reached near Colton first, confusing him, and crouched to get the silver dagger that he had a habit of keeping near his ankle before he could ask her what, why, or anything else; she moved quickly, blocking the sword from cutting Alaric's head.

"You can't kill my friend."

Everyone gasped at that piece of information, but Liara didn't care; she pushed the sword away from Alaric's neck and stood in front of him, ready to protect him. She wasn't fond of Alaric, nor was he her friend. She hadn't forgotten how he had killed two of the pack members years back, but that was the incident back then. He was in the pack from the day Theodore was here, and he never did anything to trouble anyone in the pack.

And most importantly, she wanted to protect Alaric because he was Theodore's true and only friend.

"Friend? He is our enemy, Liara Haysbert. He is a vampire, a leech."

"Enemy? What did he do to become our enemy? Did he harm anyone? And so what if he is a vampire?" She questioned Alpha Kane. "As per the werewolf law, you are not allowed to kill your enemy until and unless he or she has done the same or is planning the same. In that way, you can say that you are protecting and maintaining peace in the pack, but I can't see anyone getting hurt because of him."

Alpha Kane glared at her for standing against him, and that too in public, but he couldn't open his mouth because the point that Liara had mentioned was right.

Colton just observed everything. First, he was surprised by the way Liara stood up against Alpha Kane. He had never seen her doing so for herself. Hell, all she used to cry. She never used to even complained about those people who used to hurt her.
