Chapter 61: Chapter 61
"Lee is alive, dad," Colton informed Brandon. "Just don't ask anything else from me." He muttered, clenching his phone tightly in his hand. He wouldn't be surprised if his phone would break because of it. Brandon was no fool who couldn't understand this sentence. That vampire was on her floor for god knows how long.
"Kill HIM or EVERYONE, if required," Brandon ordered, tightening his fist. Disconnecting the call, Colton tried to calm his mind before thinking or planning what to do next. He was so mad at everyone that he wanted to kill everyone, but he couldn't lose his cool. When he realized that the people started waking up in the morning, he controlled his aura and hid it behind the scent of Calvin Haysbert's smell because hunters were not allowed in the pack, and there was a big no for supernatural hunters because they would snap any moment.
A lot of things were going on in his mind, especially the part about how the hell everyone went to sleep at night, even the guards.
And the second part was that no one attacked the pack if someone did this with the intention to harm anyone.
A lot of questions were there, and the answers were none. He was thinking all this when something caught his attention.
"Bring that leech out." He heard and went to see what was happening. And that was when he found a vampire, bleeding badly, and both his hands and legs were tied with silver chains. Alpha Kane threw him in the middle of the ground, just a little away from the sunlight. Colton reached new them to understand what the hell was happening there!
"Alpha Calvin!! When did you come here?"
"When you all were sleeping like the dead," Colton replied rudely, shutting his mouth. "Moreover, what were you expecting from me after you informed me that there was a vampire in Lee's room?" He asked in anger.
"Really? I said that?" Alpha Kane asked in confusion and then looked at the vampire in front of him. He kicked at Alaric's face in anger and then grid it with his shoes made of silver sole against the ground. "This bastard... this bastard might have done this because of which no one has any memory of the last twenty-four hours, and we all were sleeping like the dead."
"I tried to get things out from him, but he is adamant, so it's none of my use. See, this bastard is in pain but not a once sound came out of his mouth even in pain." Alpha Kane said and hit Alaric's face again. At the same time, Alaric sensed Theodore's presence. He promised not to look at him in any case so that he would be safe.
Alaric recalled how everyone barged into Theodore's room as if they knew about his presence. He wasn't sure whether his scent was masked or not but observing how everyone found him, he felt that might be his scent wouldn't be masked. They beat the shit out of him before bringing him out of the room and dragging him with a silver chain.
Theodore calmed down his heartbeat, which was filled with fear, fear of losing his annoying and super irritating friend, when he recalled that he couldn't risk the whole mission in order to save Alaric.
'But I promise to take revenge for your death.' Theodore taught and watched all this drama just like the other pack members around. His fist tightened when Kane hit Alaric's face again, torturing him with a silver sole again, and then kicked him toward the sunlight.
"Aaaa..." Alaric's voice died when the sun hid behind the cloud, saving him from his death for a while. Everyone looked at the dark cloud which appeared in front of the sun and, watching the clouds behind them; it looked like there was no way the sun would pay anyone a visit anytime soon, and it might rain soon.
"Get my silver sword and lighter," Kane ordered. "This way or that way, you're dying, leech," he said in a disgusting tone.
Alaric ignored his words because he wasn't scared of death, but he really wanted to help his friend in finding out the truth behind his birth, and he didn't want to die before solving that. But never mind. Maybe it wasn't in his fate.
After a few minutes, Alaric watched the sword in Kane's hand, who was ready to cut his head out of his body, so he closed his eyes, accepting his fate. He sensed the sword lifting in the air and reaching near his neck, but at the last moment, it struck with something metal, because of which that sword never reached his neck.
"You can't kill my friend."
'Why?' Alaric cried mentally.
