Chapter 44: Chapter 44
One thing she was sure of was that she wouldn't confront him about what she knew because she couldn't trust that man. He mightn't kill her because of the bond but might kidnap her.
In her free time, she read about the history of the Lycan and came to know that the last silver Lycan was seen in the Silver Moon Pack around three hundred years ago. After that, all the no Lycan were born in their family line.
''Silver Moon Pack', hmm, I need to find out the history of this pack now.' Liara thought and couldn't remember any pack with this particular name at present. Maybe it had been extinguished, but whatever the case was, she had found the truth.
'It's possible that some from their bloodline raped Theo's mother.' Destiny suggested.
'Yeah! No matter what that man did with us. We will help him discover the truth that he had just heard.' Liara said, nodding her head. Thinking about the last word, 'HEARD,' she realized why the hearing strength of Theodore was better than any other werewolf. That was because he was a Lycan. The power and strength of a Lycan were way better than any werewolf.
She left her seat in the library and went to receive the phone from her brother to maintain pin-drop silence in the library for a while, and when she returned back, the book that she was studying was no one to be found.
'Seriously? Who stole my book now?' She wondered and whiffed around because she could smell the scent of her books because she had a habit of using flowers as bookmarks in her books. She started following the smell, and it led her to the darkest area of the library. She kept walking ahead until she found Alaric, who was hidden in the dark. It was an area where all the older and useless books were kept, so barely anyone used to visit that area.
The moment she couldn't sense another person's scent, she realized that it had something to do with that vampire who had the power to mask his as well as others' scents.
Alaric gulped his saliva nervously when he got caught. He wondered how did she sense him? But that wasn't the part that was scaring him, the angry glare from Liara was scaring him the most.
'He is the one who killed two innocent werewolves of this pack. He is the one who attacked us in the forest. And he is the one who had masked the scent of those vampires.' Destiny growled in anger in Liara's mind when she was busy glaring at Alaric and watching him standing with a finger on his lips with a pleading look.
'Calm down, destiny.' Liara said and threw her phone toward him by unlocking it. Alaric caught it and looked in the phone to see whether he had to add a new contact. He couldn't understand why she was asking for his number, but at that moment, he didn't want to die, because he had to find the truth about his friend.
He saved his number in her phone and threw it back at her. Liara dialed his number and saw Alaric showing his phone in which he was receiving Liara's call.
'Return my book by tomorrow OR it won't be good for you.' Liara sent a threatening message to him, shocking Alaric. He was really not expecting that message. He watched her leave and recalled how she had followed them to the forest just for her book.
'She is really a bookworm.' He thought and started reading the book which he had stolen.

Liara returned from the hospital and wasn't sure that Theodore would come to her place now. So, throwing her phone on the bed, she started stripping in front of the mirror.
"You have got small boobs." Liara's eyes widened when she heard that comment again. She turned around to see vampires, a lot of vampires, in fact. The next thing she knew, one of them had pinned her between the mattress and his body.
She creamed, but his rough palm covered her mouth. She tried to struggle, but the next moment, her hands and her legs were held by other vampires. They were so strong for her.
"Tonight, I will finish what my friend couldn't get a chance to finish yesterday." She heard, and in the next moment, he slammed his lips against her. She couldn't breathe and tried her best to fight but failed miserably; she wasn't able to call anyone for help.
That was when she heard the devilish laughter of a person standing at the foot of my bed behind that vampire. She could only see his silhouette, not his face. But she recognized that figure. She knew that man. Her Mate.
"Theo..." She pleaded, tears running down her cheeks when that vampire stopped kissing her. But he walked ahead, coming into the light, and gave her a sinister expression before speaking.
"This is happening with you because you trusted me. Now behave."
"No! No!" She shouted when the other vampire touched her breast with his dirty hand. She cried and shouted for help, and she couldn't shout now.
"Liara!!! Liara!!" She heard Theodore's voice again, but this time it was filled with worry and concern, unlike the previous time. "Lia, wake up!!" She felt someone shaking her body. In the next second, she felt a lot of water on her face. She quickly opened her eyes and found herself on her study chair. The face in front of her was the same face who was in her nightmare, but the difference was the expression.
In the cold grey eyes, she could see genuine concern for her, and his expression was soft and gentle. But it didn't last long because he hid it behind his poker face again.
She wiped her wet face and looked around and found there was no one around except them. But she couldn't believe that she had left her chair and checked each and every corner of every room in search of the boogeyman of her dream and found no one.
Once she was done checking, she turned around and found Theodore standing at the door of the last room while she was standing at the door of the first room from the entrance.
'You're just a hundred meters away from me, Theo, but in heart, we're miles apart.'
