Chapter 34: Chapter 34

'I'm so proud of myself.' Liara thought in her mind when she observed Theodore eating his dinner with the help of a fork and knife. 'Who could have thought I would able to transform his behavior to this extent?' She wondered. She must admit that Theodore was intelligent. All he needed was a chance, and finally, he got that chance by spending time with her in the past month.

He learned not just how to read and write but also table manners and how to use a phone or laptop. His world was limited to a couple of things, but Liara gave him a broader view of teaching him multiple things. He didn't depend on her completely but also learned things on his own. And the thing that helped him the most was Liara's books collection.

His hatred for werewolves led him toward books related to werewolves, where he learned more and more about them. Their history about Lycan, the packs which disappeared along with time, the type of wolves, their weakness, their strength, and many more.

"Theo, we have known each other for the past month. So, what have you thought about us?" She asked after completing her midnight snacks.

"I'm not sure about it." he replied, and the moment he observed her expression changing, he added, "I mean, we just share a relationship of teacher and student, right? And you… you're a good teacher. I must say!!"

'Good teacher? Really? Damn!! There is no way one can fall in love. It's not my cup of tea.' Liara thought with a sad face.

"Thank you for your compliment." She spoke.

"I'm sorry. I'm terrible with words." Theodore apologized, but his apologies didn't reach his eyes, and Liara wasn't stupid to sense that. She had felt multiple times that he wasn't interested in her but was here for some other motive, but she couldn't understand his other reason for staying here.

"No. It's fine. It's not that you were wrong. We have just talked about studies until now." Liara responded. "But that also reminded me that we can talk about other things as well. I mean, I can tell you how my childhood was, and you can tell me about yours."

Hearing this idea, Theodore hissed, showing his disinterest in this topic. Liara held his hand into his softly and looked at him.

"I want to help you, Theo!!" She whispered. "I want you to in finding those werewolves who… who misbehaved with your mother. You have never said this before, but I have observed your anger, your hatred toward the werewolves." She said, and immediately Theodore pulled his hand from her hand.

"Stop observing so much, LIARA." He warned.

"Well, for that, I have to be blind because there is no other way, because of which I can stop observing things that are happening right in front of my eyes." Liara said before adding, "I'm not sure yet, but I doubt that you're here for me. You hate werewolves, and it is written on all over your face, and maybe… maybe you hate me for that too."

"Yes. I hate werewolves, and you're one of them. And nothing in the whole world can change my feelings for mutts like you because a lot of mutts like you raped my mother. Do you really expect that my feelings will change for werewolves after meeting you? The hatred in my heart for mutts is from a century, and it won't change in over a month. Hell, it will never change."

"Only if you wouldn't have threatened me with my job over here. I wouldn't have seen your face at all because you're a werewolf."

Liara's eyes moistened hearing all this from him. She wanted to say something, but she couldn't. 'Threathened him with the job?' She silently asked. 'But I was just pointing out the facts. What was the need for him to stay here when he didn't want me? I wish he could understand that I wasn't threatening him; I was just protecting myself from the pain.'

Theodore's jaw clenched, and his fist tightened when he saw tears in her eyes. He didn't stay there for a second and left from there in the middle of the night.

Liara went and locked the main door before sitting on the floor against the door. Tears rolled out of her eyes, but she didn't stop them. 'I should have known that this day would come. I was stupid to ignore the signals. He hates me and will always hate me for what I'm, and there is nothing that I can do about it.'

'He might accept you if I will die.' Destiny suggested.

'No, Destiny.' Liara shook her head. 'You're my best and only friend. I won't choose him over you. And what is the possibility that he will accept me? He might find another reason than pointing out that my father and brother are werewolves. On the top, I won't change myself even an inch for him to love me.'

All of a sudden, she felt a strong wave of pain in her body.

"You're here? How? Why?" Alaric asked Theodore when he returned to his room that too after a month because he used to stay over at Liara's place at night.

"Do you have any problem with that?" Theodore asked in anger.

"Woah! Relax beasty!! I was just asking. Why are you getting mad if your plan flopped?" Alaric said, raising his hand in the air, showing that he meant no harm.

"Plan?" Theodore asked in confusion.

"You had to kidnap her tonight, remember?" Alaric reminded him, and that was when Theodore remembered it was the 17th of February. Liara would take a lot of tablets to control her pain, and because of the effect of those tablets, she had a habit of sleeping like a dead. Theodore slammed his hand into the wall when he realized that because of his anger and the argument, he left there and now there was no meaning in going there again because by now she would have already locked the door and maybe have been slept like dead already after taking drugs in the form of tablets.

"Oh, okay!! Observing you're expression, it is clear that you're not furious because your plan flopped; it is something else?"

"STOP OBSERVING then." Theodore hissed. "Even she has started observing that I'm not interested in her, but I'm here for some other reason. Before she ended up creating a problem for me, she had to leave. Because I don't want to go anywhere."

"What are you going to do then? She doesn't leave her room today, and neither does she leave the pack." Alaric asked, but he didn't get any answer in return.
