Chapter 318: Chapter 318

'Someone had said it right: What goes around, comes around.’

Theodore might have become a saint after meeting Liara, but that couldn’t change his past, in which he was the reason for which a lot of innocent families were destroyed and a lot of couples ended up losing their partners.

That was why he was in so much pain. The pain that was ripping his heart apart The pain that wasn’t his And the heart that was feeling all this was something he didn’t know before meeting Liara.

She was in great pain, and he could feel that but couldn’t do anything about it. And the way Liara’s mark on his neck was itching and creating an unbearable pain, he could tell that that bastard had marked her forcefully.

But he couldn’t breathe when he felt as though Liara’s mark started disappearing from his body. He howled as loudly as he could, breaking all the glass in their bedroom.

‘She accepted his marking.' Inigo cried in a painful tone. It meant that she rejected him indirectly.

That was when he realized that this was the same pain that he had given Tiara when he rejected her after marking her.

Was this what rejection felt like after marking someone?

He tried to breathe but couldn’t. His body had stopped functioning well because of the thought of losing Liara. He couldn’t control his Lycan, who started acting like a maniac inside her head.

He clutched his head and cried in pain.

This was all happening because of him. He failed to protect her.

"Everyone is worried for you." Theodore heard when Cassius, his half-brother, walked inside his bedroom through the window and saw Theodore’s miserable state. It looked like someone ripped his soul out of his body, and, not to forget, he didn’t miss noticing his scent had been changed too. Cassius could sense that Theodore was suddenly very weak.

"Did you hear me?" Cassius asked when Theodore didn’t look like he was in the right state of mind. He sighed and opened the door to the bedroom. He knew what the key to this hybrid was. Liara’s family members were in the hall, not knowing what to do next.

Griffin was sleeping in Sophia’s arms. "He is behaving in that way because Liara’s mark isn’t on his shoulder anymore," Cassius told them.

Cassius had come there to inform him about Liara’s location, but at the same time, they heard a loud noise of glass breaking all over the house because of Theodore’s painful roar.

"Did you tell him the news for which you are here?" Brandon asked.

"Nope. Telling him that meant sending Theodore into a death trap. He isn’t in his right state of mind, and also, his Lycan is weak." Cassius responded and looked at Sophia. "He needed him." He shifted his eyes to Griffin.

"Sorry kid." He apologized before pinching Griffin’s arm. In the next second, Griffin started wailing loudly.

"What the…" Brandon glared at him.

"We need to leave," Cassius said in a serious tone, looking at Caroline, and left from there. Caroline kissed Artemis before following Cassius. Artemis wanted to follow her, but he knew that he couldn’t be her weakness. In the matter of Lestat, this time only witches and wizards were planning to handle everything. Brandon too followed them. Artemis followed Brandon to stop him. He knew that Brandon was worried for Liara, but at the same time, he needed to understand that he could help everyone only by doing nothing.
