In the middle of the night, both Theodore and Brandon sneaked into the other room using the spare key to the room. Brandon silently reached for Sophia and slowly picked her up in his arms.

"Hu.." Brandon kept his palm on her mouth, silently asking her to stay quiet, and left the room with her. Theodore smiled and joined Liara on the bed.

He didn't mind sharing his room with his in-laws for a day, but he needed his mate by his side at all costs.

He snaked his arms around her waist and hid his head in the crook of her neck before closing his eyes to rest for a while.

"I’m not that stupid, you know," Liara whispered, placing her hand over his. Theodore knew that there was a risk that Liara might find out about this arrangement, but he really wanted her beside him. "But I’m glad that you did this." She added.

"You are?"

"Yeah! In the beginning, I was excited, but then... I couldn’t sleep without you. I still can't believe I'm the same woman who used to stay alone in the hostel despite being marked and mated."

"Same here."

"Now I can sleep peacefully." She muttered.

Brandon couldn't help but notice how the people around him were training as if some sort of war was looming. The security of the Council was top-notch, and with each passing day, the Council was growing a little more than before.

Pups and adults who were interested in studying were going to school. Teachers and doctors were appointed at a higher salary to stay here. One of the branches of Gosling’s Hotel and Rise Above Restaurant was near the hospital, which meant Artemis was helping Theodore in one way or another.

He wasn’t a fool who couldn’t understand who had designed all the buildings in the Black Council, so even Caroline had helped him.

Dotty's presence in the house signaled to him that even Colton was in touch with Liara. He could understand Calvin and Tiara's lack of contact with Liara because one was preoccupied with raising his pup alone and the other had nothing to do with this world.

He fished his phone in his pocket and dialed Tiara’s number, hoping she would be fine. He wasn't worried about her because he knew Wylder was with her, but it had been about a month since they had broken up. He knew that it must be his daughter because Wylder was too sweet to hurt her.

"Hey, handsome!!"

"Hi, Princess!! Busy?"

"Nah. Tell me, is everything all right?" Tiara asked.

"Yes!! I was thinking if you could visit us for a week at Blood Moon Pack."

"Is something special? I mean, there is still time for Rose’s birthday. Is my brother celebrating anything else?"

"Umm, yeah! He found Rose’s mother. Zordan, Calvin's beta, also found a mate. So, your uncle Bruce was planning to throw a party for his daughter-in-law. Our whole family would be there, so if you could manage then it would be great."

"Whole family? Dad, our family isn’t complete without Lee. So…"

"Lee and Theo will also be there. I have settled our issue that I had created once." Brandon corrected her and didn’t hear anything from the other end for a while. "There is also good news. Lee is now four weeks pregnant."

"Oh, Wow!! That's really good news." Tiara chirped and observing her voice Brandon felt that she was indeed happy for her sister. "I will be there, dad."

"You sure? I mean, Theo’s presence won’t disturb your peace of mind, right?" Brandon asked in concern. He didn’t miss noticing how Tiara has stopped sharing anything with him or her mother since she rejected Theodore.

"I’m strong enough to handle these things, dad. So, Don’t worry."

"I shouldn’t have if you were really happy, Princess. One of the reasons I never liked Theo is because he turned your life upside down. If Lee has changed, then those changes in her life are in a positive way, but the way you have changed, it is not good for you."

"Let go of the past things, dad. I’m fine and will be there, okay? I will talk to you later. Bye." With that, Tiara disconnected the call, and Brandon kept looking at his phone for a while. He really wanted her to move on with her life, but she appeared to be stuck where she was before.
