‘I’m sorry I couldn’t save you.’ Destiny apologized to her human.

‘Don’t be. I was the one who had limited your power but taking pills before entering the hostel.’ Liara said and recalled how she had taken a small dose of medicine to control the pain for a while. They were going to attack her anyhow because they knew that her wolf would be weak tonight compared to other days.

She moved her leg, and it was finally fine.

She lifted her eyes and smiled, “Thank you.” She spoke, looking at her mate, who didn’t leave her side. When she was crawling on the stairs to reach her room, he was the one who carried her to her floor. He wasn’t expecting a whole damn floor for her, but then this was what other people were jealous of her.

Theodore nodded his head.

He wanted to leave, but he just couldn’t because he could sense that Liara was still in pain.

“Umm.. can you give me the tablet which is on the right side of the Almirah?” She asked. Theodore went in the direction where Liara signaled and found a lot of tablets there. “The name of the tablet is Wen-Z.” She added when she realized that he looked confused.

“What happened? Can’t you find it?” She asked when two minutes had passed, but he couldn’t bring what she asked for. She left the bed and grabbed the wall when she felt like she would fall. The moment she reached him, he moved away and watched her grab the tablet she was asking for. She took out the six tablets from her bottle and ate them at once.

He bet the taste of those tablets was horrible.

“That bottle of tablets was right in front of you. How come you didn’t find it?” She asked.

“That’s because I don’t know how to read and write,” Theodore replied and waited to see any kind of reaction but NOTHING. It looked like he wasn’t the only one who could hide his emotion behind his poker face. At the same time, Liara wasn’t surprised to know about it because what kind of good things could you expect from cruel life when it stole the only person from Theodore’s life who would have loved him with her whole heart?

“By the way, why did you take those pills?” Theodore couldn’t stop himself from asking.

“To control the pain that I feel during the heat. No one can sense my alluring smell because I have taken pills related to it already.” Liara replied and didn’t take her eyes off him, who was showing no emotions at all.

‘Even she takes the drug.’ Theodore thought and felt they were so similar in a couple of things even though their worlds were poles apart. He had a habit of taking wolfsbane to get rid of the mutt inside him, and she, too, had to take some medicine to control the pain of the heat. He always felt alone even though he stayed with the coven, and the same with her; even though she was surrounded by a lot of people, she was alone. He was bullied and treated differently just because he was different, and the same was with Liara.

“Did you hear me?” Liara asked, snapping her fingers in front of his eyes.

“Uh?”
