Chapter 260: Chapter 260

“In your absence, she handled everything like a perfect Luna or, say Alpha,” Ambrose said when Theodore reached near him to have all the updates about Black Council when he wasn’t there.

“Hmm.”

“I hope you don’t mind me calling her ‘Alpha’ because she has more qualities of becoming an Alpha than you possess,” Ambrose said again and observed Theodore’s expression, which was a little tense. It looked like something else was going on in his mind. “Jealous?”

“Of Lia?” Theodore asked, to which he nodded his head. “Nah. I’m above all this, Ambrose. I was never power-hungry, nor I’m now. It doesn’t matter whether she becomes the future Alpha or not; it won’t take a thing between us because she is my Lia, who vowed to always keep me her priority. As long as we will be each others' priority, nothing will change between us.”

“I’m glad that you think that way. These women are better rulers than men. That’s why the Goddess of vampires and werewolves is Selene, the Goddess of witches is Hecate, and the Goddess of Dragons is Tiamat.” Ambrose said to which Theodore chuckled, thinking about Brandon.

“What’s so funny?”

“You sound like your half-brother, Brandon Haysbert. He, too, has a habit of explaining anything that he knows.” Theodore replied. A scowl appeared on Ambrose’s face. He never considered any relation with that man. His father ruined his mother’s life. Ambrose was about to leave when Theodore held his arm, but he wasn’t done with him yet. He had to talk with Ambrose about Liara’s pregnancy.

“Leave my arm, Theo,” He growled at him when Theodore wasn’t ready to leave his arms.

“Sshh!! Lia is sleeping.” Theodore whispered and yelled as they were talking about in the library. The room was soundproof, but it used to work in only one way for security reasons.

No one could find what was happening in the room, but the person in the room could hear what was happening outside if he or she would try to focus.

Theodore went and closed the door of the library. Ambrose wanted to tell him that he should also go and sleep with his mate, but then Theodore never slept.

“She slept early. Is she fine?” Ambrose said, looking at the clock. Something that he had recently learned.

“Yeah! She was exhausted and tired a little bit. After that, her remaining energy disappeared when I….”

“Okay, enough! I don’t want to know more. She is like my daughter.” Ambrose said, cutting him in between. Not interested in knowing about his sex life.
