Chapter 255: Chapter 255

Liara didn’t comment on that part. Well, she didn’t have anything to say to be honest. Neither was she mad at Tiara for kissing Theodore against his wish because it looked like he was already fuming in anger at that part.

“Okay! Calm down! I received her message the same morning, around nine, that she is closing your chapter from her life and has forgiven you.” Liara said to which Theodore gave her a suspicious look. “Tee is not bad, Odo. I have told you this from day one; she is just different. And maybe things are fine between us now.” Liara said, recalling Tiara’s words when she said that they were mature enough not to fight over a man like a kitten. She felt a positive vibe from Tiara when she was with her, and she knew that Tiara wasn’t lying to her when she said so.

‘Whether that was the effect of Wylder?’ She wondered.

“By the way, what do you mean by ‘I end up hurting those people more than they hurt you’?” Liara asked, reminding him of his words. “You hurt Tee because she hurt me by ruining my look. Who else is on that list?”

Theodore shut his mouth when he heard that question.

“Odo!! I don’t like this behavior of yours. I hate when you hurt someone. I know you do that because you love me, but that is not right.” Theodore frowned and looked her in the eyes. Liara took his face in her hands, talking very seriously.

“Don’t take my words lightly, Theodore Wayne, or I will surely leave you,”

Theodore growled at her, grabbing her by the waist, bringing her closer to him, and watched how Liara didn’t finch.

“Don’t leave me, Lia! I promise to control my temper.” He said in a serious tone. She put her hands behind his head and looked him straight in the eye.

“Then promise me that you won’t use your mouth, hands, and legs in anger.”

“But.. fine. I promise.”

“Now tell me, who are those other people whom you hurt because of me?”

“You won’t like the answer to that question, Lia. Please don’t ask me.”

“I can handle it,” Liara said confidently and saw him hesitating, frowning. He was thinking so hard. It was clear that whomever he had hurt was close to her. He closed his eyes and rested his head on her shoulder. Liara softly started caressing his hair, brushing his messy long hair with her fingertips, knowing very well that he loved whenever she did that as it helped him in relaxing.

His arms slid around her waist, hugging her close.

“Your father!”

All of a sudden, Liara’s stopped caressing his hair, “I promise to you that I apologize to him for that and never ever repeat this mistake.” With that, she continued caressing his hair but was still mad at him for hurting her father.

“All my life, I had no one by my side. Don’t tell me the name of that fucker because I know he was a puppet rather than a friend in the beginning days.” He said and sighed against her neck. “You were that first person who cared and loved me even though I didn’t deserve it. I just want to keep you safe and protected from everyone, even if it means protecting from your own family members. You’re so pure and so kind that I end up losing my mind when someone hurts an angel like you. That too because of me.”

“I understand your feeling, but still, you can try to control your temper, right?” She whispered. “Whenever you feel angry, then think about me and try to calm yourself down or something that can help you calm down.”

With that, Theodore lifted his head from her shoulder and leaned toward her lap, his favorite place to feel calm. Adjusting a little, he laid down his head in her lap.

Even though Liara was scared of falling from the tree or scared of heights, she was positive that she would be all fine as long as Theodore was here, in case something went wrong.

Theodore smiled, hearing her increase in heartbeat. He liked that she was fighting her fear. He enjoyed his time by closing his eyes in her lap until he heard something that he hadn’t heard before ever in his life.

A very faint heartbeat.

Theodore turned around on the tree as if it was his daily work without getting scared. “What are you doing?” Liara squealed when the branch started shaking, but he didn’t answer her and hid his face against her stomach. Liara smiled, playing with his hair, thinking he was behaving like a pup. Little did she know that he had figured out something that she hadn’t yet.

Theodore closed his eyes and focused on what he had just heard, ignoring her strong heartbeat for a minute, and his body stiffened when it heard it again.

A very faint heartbeat.

‘Our mate is pregnant.’ Inigo howled happily, and Theodore was worried because he knew that a pregnant she-wolf was easily targeted as they couldn’t shift. He didn’t have the power to use six senses, but he could bet that his enemy would come for his mate at her weakest phase.
